I reached my dorm safely and the moment I reached there I fell on my bed immediately, as today's day is quite chaotic, but everything went well so no worries, Zhao Shiza, no worries. Then I get into the deep sleep.
The morning sunlight hits my face which glows from it. I get up from my bed but my eyes are still closed. I don't want to open them. I just want to feel the warmth of sunlight on my face as it's taking me to another world—a world which is just like I want, a world where everything is according to me, a world which I always crave for, a world that only exists in my imagination, never in reality, never.
"Zhao Shiza, wake up," a chirping voice came. Of course it's Wang Ruoxi only, but how is she waking up so early today? I asked myself.
"Open your eyes, Zhao Shiza," Wang Ruoxi said while sitting close to me.
I nodded my head and said, "No, not now."
"Why?" she asked.
"Because today I wanna feel the day and world just as the way I want to see it," I said while rubbing my eyes with my hands.
"Ok then, be late for the shoot. I didn't say anything," she said.
I immediately opened my eyes and saw her face first and said, "See, today I saw your face first when I opened my eyes. Do you know what it means?" I asked her.
She nodded her head, a little shocked, and said, "No," looking confused.
I smiled and said, "It means that my day will go bad because I saw your face first when I woke up."
"You are impossible, Zhao Shiza. Am I a kind of bad luck to you?" she said while getting fake angry with me.
This time I laughed harder and said, "Sort of, not completely."
Then she grabbed the pillow from the bed and started hitting my head with it nonstop.
"Wang Ruoxi, what are you doing? I am getting late. Stop being childish," I said while protecting myself with the blanket.
"Oooo woww amazing, now you are getting late hm? Really really, Zhao Shiza?" Then she hits me again and again, but I grab her wrist and pull her towards me and hug her. I laughed and she also laughed. She pats my head and said, "Now get ready, you are getting late."
I nodded my head. Finally, I get ready and was just going out of the room, but before that, Wang Ruoxi said, "Zhao Shiza, mark my words, your today's day will be memorable."
I turned around and saw her face. She is looking quite confident in whatever she said. I raised my eyebrow and said, "Is that so?"
She said, "Yes of course, after all you have seen my face first today the moment you woke up. It definitely means something good's gonna happen."
I turned around again towards the door and said, "Ok, I'll see. Wang Ruoxi, first you don't miss your today's class," I said and went out from there.
Wang Ruoxi murmured to herself that this girl never leaves a chance to do sarcasm.
Then I reached the bus stop. After waiting for 10 minutes, the bus arrived and I got into it. I sat on my usual window seat and looked outside from the window. After the whole 40 minutes, I reached the shooting location. I got out from the bus and entered the set now.
My eyes are searching for Yang Lulu. She is not here today. Maybe she got an off or maybe she is not well. While thinking this in my mind, I moved inside my room and changed my costume and got ready for the scene.
Today's shooting went quite well. Today my character needs to shoot more scenes with the family members and friends in the drama. Me and Xu Yuan only have one scene together today, which is a phone call scene. It went quite well as there is no face-to-face scene between us. I think Wang Ruoxi is right—my today's day went really nice, but I won't tell her because if I do then she'll be on the 10th cloud.
We have shot for the whole day today. Everyone gets tired and finally the moment we all are waiting for has arrived—Director Li said loud and clearly, "Ok done for today, pack up and everyone come tomorrow on time." Finally, we are able to hear it from him.
Everyone starts packing up their stuff. I also went to my room and changed my costume and came out from there. I am about to leave the set but then suddenly a boy with a parcel in his hands appears in front of me and said, "Are you Zhao Shiza?"
I nodded my head and said, "Yes."
Then he said, "Here is the parcel for you, sign it here and take it."
I signed it and took the parcel from him. The boy went immediately from there after giving me the parcel.
I got a bit confused and started checking the parcel box from right to left, left to right, from top to bottom, bottom to top, and finally I saw the short name chit over there and it's written that it's from Yang Lulu.
Yang Lulu. She didn't even come today on set and now she is giving me parcels. I thought she is not well today, that's why she didn't come, but this parcel… I got a little confused and I took out my phone from my bag to call Yang Lulu but my phone is switched off.
"Ooo noo, Zhao Shiza, how could you forget to charge your phone?" Then I checked my bag for the charger but charger is also not there.
Leave it. Now I am going to dorm only, so when I reach there, I'll put my phone on charging and will call Yang Lulu and ask her about this parcel.
Then I start moving out from the set location and while walking on the roads to reach the bus stop I am continuously looking at the parcel. I am wondering what's in that parcel. I shake it with both my hands. It sounds like something made of glass is inside it. Indeed, it's quite heavy also. Maybe some kind of crockery is inside it. But why did Yang Lulu give me crockery? I asked myself.
Then while thinking of it, I reached my bus stop. But the bus didn't arrive yet. There is some time still left. I looked down at the parcel in my hand. Curiosity is killing me. After all, it's for me only. It's not someone else's parcel. I can open it. I can't hold it anymore. Even in my childhood when on my birthdays bàba brought surprise gifts for me, then also I opened them before time. I still remember bàba always said to me that "Zhao Shiza, you are so impatient, have some patience."
But now enough is enough. This parcel brings back the same little Zhao Shiza in me and now I am going to open it. Then I started opening the parcel in my hand. It's quite heavy so I put up my one leg slightly and placed the parcel on my laps, and then after unboxing its tapes, I opened it and picked that thing out from the parcel and took it in my hand and said to myself:
"What's this? Why did Yang Lulu give me this through a parcel? What's so hurry for this to give? Does that mean that I need to use it right now?" I asked myself in confusion while looking at it in my hands…
