Isabella's POV
The storm had raged for hours before she finally gave in.
Wind battered against the windows, rain streaking down the glass like veins of silver. The flash drive sat on the nightstand beside her, whispering to her like a forbidden confession.
She shouldn't look.
She knew that.
Sebastian's words echoed in her head If you ever doubt me, look at what we've built.
But what if everything they'd built stood on the ashes of lies?
Her heart ached as she pressed her hand to her belly. Their baby the one secret that bound them together more tightly than any contract ever could. She'd forgiven so much already, but this felt different. This was about truth. And truth had claws.
Finally, she plugged the drive into her laptop.
It loaded instantly. A single folder.
"EDEN_DOCS."
Her fingers trembled as she opened it.
Dozens of files appeared contracts, coded memos, encrypted audio logs. Her breath caught as she clicked one marked CONFIDENTIAL: D. WRIGHT.
