Facing the candidates was a path covered with tree branches. In the middle stood a giant tree; stepping into its trunk took you to an alternate world where only magic existed. This path allowed passage only for the chosen and worthy if rejected, you fell back from thin air.
From a distance, Julian and Adam made their way through the crowd. Adam struggled against what seemed like an invisible wall. Behind him were strange stares; everyone looked on with discontent, finding ways to express their disagreement as he hurriedly followed his lord, Julian.
Reaching the front of House Octa with no hesitation, the young lord walked right through the long line of candidates awaiting their turn. Immediately seeing him, they made way as he strode majestically, the crest of the Elliots embedded on his chest plate. One of the halliems approached him.
"Welcome, Lord Julian," he said, collecting the load with a single swing of his hand from Adam. What seemed like a castle had no weight and started floating.
"Run along, lad. This is no place for savages," said the halliem. Adam took steps backward as he watched the young lord fade through the path. With nothing to say, just unpleasant looks conveying that he was not wanted, he disappeared into the crowd, back to what seemed like home, lowborns scattered around, each waiting and hoping at the back.
Sitting facedown, someone ran into Adam, snatching his necklace. Adam quickly chased after them, passing the first, second, and third houses, down to Octa (House of the Highborns). Quickly and swiftly, she took off her robe, slipped into the crowd, and started shouting:
"Thief! Thief! Thief! He stole my bag!"
Unknown to Adam, he was trespassing on high grounds, with eyes lurking everywhere. She drew the attention of the guards, who brought him down with a movement that didn't seem like much. He blacked out. Minutes later, he started opening his eyes, seeing men of the knight order with spears and shields, shiny armors. Following these men was a halliem.
"Where are you from, young man?" he said. Adam, raising his head to explain, saw the girl who had asked him about Mr. Klein's office upon arrival. After explaining himself, the halliem shouted ,"this man is a thief" . With no chance to fair trial Adam was been moved to the cells,With disappointment, Adam kept shouting, "I'm innocent! I'm not the one, she duped me!"
A voice came from behind: "Stop." Turning back, it was Mr. Klein. Looking closely, Mr. Klein did a simple check and asked that he be left to him. Immediately, Adam was freed and handed to the guards following closely behind Mr. Klein. Adam, clueless about what was about to happen, struggled against the chains but grew weaker instead, due to the effect of the spell cast upon the chains . To no avail, he fell on his knees and kept crying:
"I'm innocent she lied against me!"
Walking past the dungeon guards, Mr. Klein paid no attention to Adam's cries. Then he signaled the guards on reaching the dungeon. Immediately they all vanished leaving Adam to Mr. Klein
