Ava clenched her breasts tightly. Her heart beats were loud, she could hear the throb. They had been standing outside for over thirty minutes, still, she had seen no one enter the theater, or come out.
Maria held her close to her bossom. Her weight leaning heavily on her. "Ava?" She started, sounding weary, "we need to sit. I don't think anything's wrong, if there were, we would know, for sure. Dr Wilson, —or anyone, would have let us know." Maria's eyes twitched, and her hands had whitened around Ava's arms.
She drew in a ragged breath. Maria was tired, but she needed Ava to understand, they both can't be weak. She wasn't old, but not as youthful as Ava. Tilting her head slightly, and locking her eyes on hers, she whispered softly. "We both need to be strong for Alfred, else we won't make it out this hospital, alive, you hear me?" Ava nodded, crying too. Her eyes were already swollen from too much tears.
