Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Redeeming the Commission Remuneration

The yellow sand exploded, and the black smoke within let out a heart-wrenching, utterly miserable shriek.

The Evil Crow King was blasted out of its original form by Amaterasu's light cannon, flying out like a launched projectile, breaking countless thick trees along the way.

Its massive body tumbled several times on the ground before finally coming to a stop in a cloud of dust.

The surrounding Ravens, seeing this, were terrified, their eyes filled with unconcealed fear.

Their once orderly formation instantly became chaotic, and they scattered like headless flies, fleeing in all directions.

The remaining hundred-plus Ravens disappeared in just two or three seconds.

Cana and Marcus looked at the messy, smoke-filled battlefield and let out long sighs of relief.

Cana wiped the large beads of sweat from her forehead and said, "It's finally over."

Her voice carried a hint of exhaustion, and her hands were trembling slightly.

Marcus, utterly exhausted, plopped down on the ground, panting heavily, and said, "Yes, I almost couldn't hold on."

Ezreal slowly descended from the sky, the dazzling golden light in his eyes gradually receding.

Looking at the chaotic battlefield, he softly said, "Everyone, quickly recover your stamina and Mana; we can't stay in this place for long."

Just as the three of them had let out a sigh of relief, a series of mournful wolf howls suddenly echoed around them, growing closer and closer.

"Not good, let's go!" Ezreal's expression changed.

Ezreal waved his hand, and the Marsh Frog and Red-Blue Stone Golem were all sent back to the canyon.

"You two go first!" Ezreal's face was solemn.

Marcus and Cana did not hesitate, each flipping onto a Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf.

Ezreal directly issued commands through his consciousness; the six Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves spread their wings, ignited with flames with a whoosh, and carried the two of them away.

He, himself, activated Arcane Shift, transforming into a golden light and appearing in front of the fallen Evil Crow King.

The Evil Crow King had already fallen into a coma; although its injuries were severe, its life force was still present. For a semi-undead life form like a Raven, as long as it wasn't completely killed, it could recover by preying on creatures.

"To be hit head-on by Amaterasu and still not die," Ezreal murmured in slight surprise.

"Indeed, when it comes to durability, it has to be a Magical Beast. Its physical endurance is far stronger than a Mage of the same level," Ezreal sighed, then placed his left hand on the Evil Crow King's head, a white vortex appearing in his palm, completely engulfing and making the Evil Crow King's body disappear.

Dimension · Temporary Containment!

An auxiliary magic within Dimensional Summoning, its effect is to cover a life form entirely with Dimension Mana, temporarily teleporting it to an alternate world that the Summoner can open a gate to. The duration of the specific effect depends on the amount of Dimension Mana used by the caster.

After completing all this, Ezreal's body shattered into a cluster of golden light particles and vanished from the spot.

The six Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves flying rapidly in the sky were like six streaks of fire, strikingly conspicuous in the night sky.

A golden light flashed, and Ezreal appeared on one of the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves, his forehead slightly beaded with sweat.

"Good thing I managed to teleport back within the extreme range."

Marcus and Cana, seeing Ezreal appear on the Magical Wolf's back, also breathed a sigh of relief. They were about to speak but were stopped by Ezreal's wave of a hand.

"First, run for your lives. The predatory Magical Beasts around here have all been attracted by the recent battle. I sense several Mana signatures approaching A-rank or even A-rank; it would be troublesome if we get entangled."

Ezreal nodded to the two of them, a golden light flashing in his eyes, and he once again activated Dimension · Mana Amplification.

The size of the six Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves was further amplified, and their flight speed also increased.

After flying continuously for over half an hour, Ezreal and the two others finally found a quiet cave.

Marcus sealed the cave entrance with yellow sand, leaving only a few small holes for ventilation.

Ezreal condensed several small light orbs and threw them onto the cave ceiling to act as incandescent lamps.

Cana, in turn, once again took out three beds and a table of food from her cards.

The three of them were too tired to speak, devouring their meal, eating and chugging water to wash it down.

The meal was finished in less than five minutes.

The three of them collapsed onto their beds, panting heavily.

"Another thrilling day," Marcus sighed, lying on the bed.

Ezreal smiled and said, "Our individual strength isn't high. To be honest, it was easier to fight than yesterday's Earth Vein Rat; it's just that the sheer number of Ravens made them a bit troublesome."

Cana rubbed her stomach and said, "Your Summoned Beasts made a great contribution. If it weren't for these guys assisting us, with just the three of us, we would have had no choice but to run from such a large group of Ravens."

Marcus nodded in deep agreement.

In two consecutive days of fierce battles, Ezreal's Summoned Beasts had played a crucial role.

Especially today, in confronting this horde of crazy Ravens, with their overwhelming black feathers, if it weren't for the Stone Warrior standing in front as cover, after two consecutive volleys, he and Cana would have been seriously injured.

Although the Ravens were only C-rank, their numbers were vast. Even an A-rank would not be able to withstand a round of C-rank magic bombardment.

Magical Beasts, relying on their massive size, possess powerful physiques, and their Mana is also more abundant than human Mages.

At the same rank, the magical power of Magical Beasts far exceeds that of ordinary Mages.

Ezreal raised an eyebrow and said, "As a Summoner, I've never been afraid of a group fight! Once I get the dragon scale magic-sealing stone and fuse it with the Red and Blue Warriors, I'll just stand there and let them hit me!"

After Ezreal finished speaking, he sat up from the bed.

"One more thing, your reward will be paid today."

Ezreal finished speaking, and with a wave of his left hand, a man-height white energy vortex appeared, from which the dying, massive body of the Evil Crow King fell out.

The nearly four-meter body of the unconscious Evil Crow King crashed onto the ground, stirring up a layer of dust in the cave, and also startling Marcus and Cana.

The moment the Evil Crow King landed, Marcus and Cana both shot up from their beds. They exchanged glances, then stared intently at Ezreal.

"You're not going to say that you're using this Evil Crow King, which has near A-rank strength, as the mission reward, are you?" Marcus pointed at the large creature on the ground, somewhat uncertain, and swallowed hard.

Ezreal nodded and said, "Of course."

Cana covered her face somewhat helplessly and said, "This guy is an adult Magical Beast. Judging from its size and strength, it's at least forty or fifty years old. Such a Magical Beast is incredibly wild and basically impossible to tame and sign a contract with a human."

"I wouldn't make such a common mistake. I have a way with this Raven."

Ezreal jumped off the bed, his left hand forming a claw, and he made a grasping motion towards the Evil Crow King's collapsed body.
