Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 Misunderstanding

"Ezreal, if you don't have any other moves, you're going to lose." Laxus's figure appeared in the lightning, his tall and slender body exuding an arrogant and uninhibited aura.

"Elementalization, that's really an exaggerated ability," Ezreal, on the back of the Raptor, complained speechlessly. It was already absurd enough that Dragon Slayers could consume different energies to recover from injuries and magic power, and even gain enhancements. Now there's elementalization on top of that.

Are we sure this isn't a crossover episode?

If you can elementalize, why are you still doing magic?!

Go out to sea and become a Marine, you'd at least be an Admiral!

"If a Summoned Beast dies, it dies. If it can buy some time, its purpose has already been achieved. I never expected a Summoned Beast of this level to cause you any trouble." Ezreal looked down at Laxus from above, his eyes also glowing golden. His left index and middle fingers were pressed together, a golden light lit up at his fingertips, and then he pointed downwards.

Three mysterious golden magic runes transformed into three golden rune magic circles in front of Ezreal.

"Amaterasu - Style 28!" Ezreal roared.

"What!" Laxus showed a look of surprise for the first time in the entire battle.

Centered on him, brilliant golden light suddenly illuminated the surroundings. Three circular magic circles composed of golden runes surrounded him.

The magic circles formed by golden runes slowly rotated, and the immense pressure forced Laxus directly to his knees. Intense high temperatures radiated outwards.

"This is bad! This is... Amaterasu Style!" Laxus's face was grim. The immense oppressive feeling from the triple rune magic circles made it difficult for him to breathe.

The three golden rune circles in front of Ezreal merged, forming a complete magic circle with triple magic runes.

"Boom!"

The moment the magic circle was complete, dazzling golden light erupted from the golden magic circles surrounding Laxus, as if a sun had appeared within the formation, engulfing Laxus's figure, followed by a violent explosion.

"Laxus!" The three members of the Thunder God Tribe showed worried expressions for the first time, all calling out Laxus's name. However, out of trust in him, the three of them forcefully restrained the urge to go forward and check.

They had known Laxus for a long time and understood his personality very well; going up now would be seen as an insult, implying they didn't fully acknowledge his strength.

"EZ can actually do this much!"

"Amaterasu Magic, does it have such a powerful move?"

"This is the first time I've seen him use such high-power magic!"

Gray and the others were also very shocked. They didn't expect that Ezreal was hiding such a powerful move; he had never shown it when fighting them.

Riding the Crimson Raptor, Ezreal slowly flew down from the sky and landed on the ground. With a wave of his hand, the two Raptors transformed into white light particles and dissipated, sent back to the canyon by him.

Ezreal watched as the smoke and dust slowly dissipated, revealing a large crater on the ground. The earth was scorched black, and the ground, about tens of meters in diameter, had sunk more than half a meter deep. Laxus's figure stood right in the center.

The ground beneath his feet was completely carbonized, and his skin was covered with tiny scars, but he stood perfectly straight. Aside from his slightly rapid breathing making him look a bit disheveled, he was actually not badly injured.

"This isn't the power Amaterasu - Style 28 should have. Did you hold back?" Although Laxus's tone was a question, it was exceptionally firm, and his eyes were wide as he stared at Ezreal.

His voice was loud and clear, and everyone watching heard it distinctly.

"The Master truly brought back a powerful member this time," Bickslow exclaimed.

"With this strength, he's stronger than most members, even significantly stronger than us. One-on-one, the three of us are definitely no match for him." Freed exchanged glances with his two companions and gave his assessment.

Evergreen and Bickslow did not respond, but they also did not deny it.

"He held back?" Laki's mouth dropped open in disbelief.

"This much power isn't even his full strength?" Gray clenched his fists, feeling very excited internally.

"Both of them are monsters. Has EZ improved so quickly in just over two months?" Cana's expression was unreadable, a mix of shock and some indescribable emotion.

"My turn to return the favor. You didn't use your full strength just now either." Ezreal stood at the edge of the pit, squatted down, smiled gently, and then extended his hand to Laxus, wanting to pull him up.

"Now, I should have proven that I have the strength of an A-Class Mage, right?"

Laxus stood in the middle of the pit, silently looking at Ezreal. His sharp gaze carefully scrutinized the golden-haired young man in front of him, and he specifically looked closely at his golden hair.

As he looked, Laxus's expression began to turn a little strange.

"Were you picked up by the old man? Where are your family?" Laxus asked with a strange expression.

"That's right. My parents are gone. I met the Master by some coincidence and was brought back to the guild." The topic changed a bit quickly, Ezreal was startled, but still patiently replied.

"Golden hair, Amaterasu, and the old man's Light Magic, picked up." Laxus silently looked at Ezreal's golden hair, the key information flashing through his mind, and his expression grew even stranger.

"How old are you this year?" Laxus asked again.

"Good question, 18 or 19? I'm not entirely sure..." Ezreal scratched his head. He was indeed unsure of the age of his current body; the game didn't specify Ezreal's actual age.

The only thing he could be sure of was that this body was still very young. Based on his skin condition and bone age, he was probably under 20.

"The age also matches..." Laxus murmured to himself.

"What are you muttering about? Are you coming up or not?" Ezreal, squatting at the edge of the pit, felt his legs getting a little numb and his arm a little sore, so he urged him.

Laxus's thoughts were interrupted. He glanced at Ezreal with a strange look, then flipped over to the edge of the pit. Golden lightning flashed around his body again, removing the dust from his skin.

"Still want to fight?" Ezreal stood up, his expression a bit speechless.

"No more fighting. I acknowledge your strength. The old man finally didn't misjudge this time." Laxus shook his head, transformed into lightning, and appeared beside the three Thunder God Tribe members. He took his black coat from Freed's hand and draped it over himself, then turned and left with the Thunder God Tribe.

Just a few steps after the four left, Makarov's figure appeared at the back door of the guild, followed by Levy's team, Mira, Natsu, and others who had come to join the excitement.

The commotion from the two fighting just now was immense. Laxus's lightning strikes were accompanied by strong thunder, and Ezreal's Amaterasu also had violent explosions. It was impossible for the people in the guild not to hear it.

"Laxus..." Makarov looked at his grandson and greeted him softly.

Laxus looked at the old man with temples streaked with white in front of him, was silent for a moment, then nodded in response.

"Hello, Master."

The three Thunder God Tribe members, on the other hand, greeted him very politely.

"Ezreal, train hard and improve faster." Laxus looked at Makarov's white hair, and without looking back, left this sentence, returning to the guild with the three Thunder God Tribe members. Their route seemed to be towards the second floor of the guild.
