And he had just WINKED at me.
I was dumbfounded.
Bao looked at me. " Am I crazy or did that famous actor Jinhai just wink at you? He's so handsome."
I just shook it off, "Highly unlikely" I squeaked as we padded our way over to Jinhai in a hurry. I made not comment about his handsomeness.
There was no way he had recognized me. My face was fully covered by my mask, and I was wearing my sunglasses. Nobody... literally nobody could have possible recognized me.
I decided to quietly slip away as I told Bao to hand Jinhai the bottle. Bao was more that escatic to be so close to her idol.
I was tiptoeing across the room to go and serve bottles somewhere else when a rich voice cut through the silence like a blade.
"Mask girl! Come here! I need a waterbottle."
I audibly gasped. He did not just do that. I turned around dumbfounded. Bao was literally standing right beside him waterbottle in hand. She looked heartbroken.
But there was one think I was happy about. He had just called me mask girl. Maybe he hadn't realised it really was me! Niceeee.
I scurried over to him a cold bottle in his hand.
The closer I moved to him, the clearer he became. Beads of water were dripping from the ends of his hair after the water shoot. His skin glistened like glass, his grey eyes framed by his thick and long eyelashes. God had truly in a good mood when he made Jinhai. There was no other explanation on how he looked so good at the age of 19.
Jinhai broke into an evil smirk. His hand extended for the bottle.
Bao started at her heartbroken with a look that read, he really did wink at you.
I gave her an apologetic smile.
Jinhai's hands reached for the bottle his hands slightly grazing mine in the process.
My hair stood on my hand as if incredibly aware of his touch.
I had to get far far way from this guy. He was trouble.
Just before I could run away, his hand clasped around my hand. "Where are you going Lily. I need assistance."
Ohhhhh, so he knew I was Lily. Oh shucks.
I glared at him. "No... I mean... I have work to do."
He tutted at me,"Hawwww Lily, so little for our friendship."
Bao looked very suspicious at this point. She was sucking in all the tea. Jinhai saw he exchanging glances with Lily.
So, he said, "Bao? Right?"
She nodded, beaming once again. "Yes Jinhai sir!"
"Ok Bao, I have a job for you, will you help me?"
Bao was literally swelling in pride," Sure sir! ANYTHING!"
And then just like that, Jinhai dropped the bomb," I want you to get a 100 icecreams from the shop across the road as my treat to the crew."
Bao's eyes started twitching, "A 100?"
"Thank you in advance Bao!" Jinhai flashed his lethal smile.
Bao swallowed and took the money from Jinhai's hand, curtisied and ran as fast as she could to the shop across the street.
I literally gawked at Jinhai. A 100 icecreams!?! That was ridiculous! How would poor Bao do that all by herself.
"I join in to help her", I squeaked trying to run after Bao but Jinhai pulled me back again.
"I have some work for you too."
I gulped, and silently prayed that this beast in an angel's skin wouldn't make her go to bye another 100 coffees too.
"Come with me", he said as he bowed to all the directors out of respect and went on his break to his designated dressing room. And he was making me tag along.
This was going to be the second time that I accompany him to a room alone.
He made me shut thr door to him vanity room as he plopped down on the plush sofa, in his soaking yet clothes. I yelped. "Get changed 1st!"
He flashed me a lazy smile, "I'm in too much pain to go and change right now", he drawled his eyes half lidded. He looked really hot right now.
WOW, I thought to myself. I had just called him hot. I was going mad.
I scoffed, "Yah, as if", I muttered but then came to a halt as I looked at a wide gash on his shoulder blade against his smooth pale skin.
How was he even functioning with that big of a gash. He was bleeding.
"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME EARLIER!?" I said as I made a dash for the first aid kit on his vanity.
"You were busy running away" he smirked, as in he enjoyed annoying me.
"Jokes aside-" he continued " I didn't want to stop the shoot over some minor injury like this. I'm new to this industry and I want to give it my best just as I gave my best during the course of ASTRIX"
"THIS IS NOT A MINOR INJURY!" I scolded him as I began frantically searching for the antiseptic cream in the box. I remember led the time when my friend was crying after watching the episode where Jinhai had fainted after his performance due to the amount of practice and rehearsals he had done and the amount of meals he had skipped. He was so low on energy that he had fainted on stage after his performance. Jinhai had always given his best, all the way from ASTRIX to now.
He unbuttoned the top of his tshirt as I tabbed the antiseptic cream on his wound. He winced, gripping the sofa in pain.
"Ah, it hurts" he whispered.
"Just stay put for 1 more second and you are done."
Meanwhile I was putting in great effort to not make my eyes look at his lean muscle the peeked out from below the wet tshirt. It was driving her insane to be this close to a man.
"All done!", I said getting up from the sofa but something yanked at my hair and I was pulled back down on the couch, yelping in pain.
"Did you just pull my hair?" I shouted at Jinhai.
"I'm innocent I swear!" He said, "your hair is caught in my button."
Lily couldn't believe her ears. Why was this happening with her.
"Can you get it out? It hurts."
"Well, wait for 1 more sec and then you'll be fine", he smirked as he had just slapped her own sentence back at her.
He reached down to his pant to button trying to untangle her hair.
"What are you doing!??!?!" I screamed.
"Untangling your hair of course. Don't get any funny ideas Liang Princess."
"You're impossible," I hissed, trying to stay perfectly still.
His lips quirked. "And you're blushing."
"I am not!"
"Yes, you are."
"No, I—"
I scoffed as he struggled with the pant button. I sealed my eyes tight shut.... in the case of a slip up.
I was aware that I was bent dangerously close to Jinhai's toned body, his hand at his waistband, both of us flushed and breathless.
And that's when the the door burst open...
