I turned on my heels and headed towards the door but his next sentence stopped me cold. Oswald leaned back on the bed, his elbow resting on the bed, holding to his cheek as his gaze trailed over me.
I was certain he might have undressed me so many times in his head but at the moment it didn't matter as long as Bruce wouldn't be involved in the matter.
"Phina," his voice was calm and unbothered, sending a chill down my spine. "Are you certain you don't want Bruce to discover the truth about that night?"
"The fact that it had all been a set up and it had never been Stella's fault from the beginning to the end."
My hand froze on the door knob, my heart raced with trepidation. I slowly turned around to meet his gaze, still trapped in a daze.
"What the hell was that?"
How on earth was he supposed to know about such an event?
Did he run into it, or was he there from the beginning to the end?
What else did he know?
Why had he kept silent uptill now to mention this?
