The next morning,
One of the members from the Nightmare Club (Jems Smith's office) came to visit Mr. Astron's house. He found the house in a very bad condition. He knocked on the door three times. After that, Stella opened the door. It was a holiday. Seeing the person, Stella didn't recognize him.
The person said, "Hi! I am here to visit with your brother." Stella became worried but called her big brother. Kalvin, while stretching and yawning, came out of his room. When he reached the door, he saw a man wearing a black coat and a round hat. Kalvin recognized him. He was a member of the Nightmare Club. Kalvin asked him to come inside and sit. The man went inside the house with Kalvin.
Inside, the man told Kalvin that Jems Smith had sent the necessary supplies for his cafe. Kalvin replied, "Oh, really? Please come in and sit. I will arrange some refreshments for you." The man said, "I appreciate your proposal, but I have some tasks that I must complete. Instead of refreshments, I want you to give me a tour of your house." This was essentially an order from Smith, who had sent the man to check Kalvin's house for any cursed artifact or material that might be giving him some evil power.
The man thoroughly searched Kalvin's house but found nothing that could be affecting him with evil power or other cursed forces. This made it clear that Kalvin was not under the influence of any cursed power, nor was he some dreadful creature that gains power by taking energy from humans while in disguise. After Kalvin finished showing the man his house, the man thanked him and congratulated him on his new cafe.
He also informed Kalvin that all the necessary supplies for his cafe had been left inside the cafe. Kalvin could go and see them if he wished. Saying this, the man smiled slightly, gave a small nod, and started walking down the street away from their house.
Stella was standing in another room, listening to their conversation. After the man left, Stella came to Kalvin and asked him about the man and what they were discussing about the cafe. Kalvin said, "I wanted to give you a surprise." Stella asked, "What kind of surprise?" Kalvin replied, "Can a surprise ever be told? If you tell a surprise, it's no longer a surprise."
Stella said, "I already know about this matter now. So, don't hide it from me anymore." Kalvin said, "Alright, then get dressed and ready. Instead of telling you, I'll take you to see it." Stella, with curiosity and impatience, agreed to Kalvin's suggestion and got ready. Stella wore a long white dress. She was naturally beautiful.
The two of them arrived in front of "The Empty Mug" cafe. Stella asked, "Are you planning to go in here? You know we don't have enough money to spend here." Kalvin said, "Hey, don't worry, just come inside with me." Stella hesitated at first but then entered with Kalvin. Stella was a little surprised upon entering. She saw no people there, only empty tables. When she asked Kalvin about this, Kalvin said, "This is my cafe starting today. I arranged it by speaking with a wealthy man.
The man who visited our house this morning works for that person." Stella become surprised to hear about that. Stella saw some sweets on the counter table. Stella loved to eat sweets. So, she went to the table, took out some sweets, and started eating them.
Kalvin, seeing her, dropped a line: ""Eat less sugar, You are enough sweet already.""
