Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 - Facing the World Itself

The air of God Valley seethed like a living thing.

Lightning writhed through the clouds, painting the torn land in white flashes. The smell of scorched stone and blood hung heavy, carried on the shriek of cannon fire from distant ships. From the ruins, five shadows converged upon the smoking plaza at the island's heart.

Rocks D. Xebec stood first, sword resting on his shoulder, his coat torn to ribbons. Beside him strode Newgate, silent and grim, Linlin snarling through broken teeth, and Kaido, his laughter shaking the ground. From the smoke behind them came the steady click of high heels.

Ada Wong walked out of the fire.

Her long black cloak fluttered to the ground, and beneath it gleamed silk and crimson—her red dress, immaculate even amid the chaos. A belt of pistols crossed her thigh; twin holsters hugged her hips. A single ruby glinted at her throat as she cocked her pistol and tilted her head toward the others.

"Thought you could start the fun without me?"

Kaido barked a laugh. "Ha! You clean up nice for the end of the world!"

Rocks grinned. "My vice-captain always makes an entrance."

The five of them turned toward the plaza, where the earth itself began to twist. From a crater of molten stone rose Saturn, his body half-consumed by shadow, horns spiraling, eyes blazing with alien light. His voice came layered—two beings speaking through one throat.

"Children of chaos… you trespass upon eternity."

Rocks' grin widened. "Imu… so you finally show yourself."

The ground shook beneath their boots as the five of them stood before the monster that once called itself Saint Jaygarcia Saturn.

Now, the being before them was no longer man, nor god — a vessel twisted by Imu's will, its form half-shadow, half-flesh, radiating black fire that devoured the very air.

The wind howled, carrying the screams of distant Marines and the echo of collapsing mountains.

For the first time in history, the Rocks Pirates stood not against the world government — but against the world itself.

Rocks D. Xebec wiped the blood from his mouth, his grin faint but defiant.

"Look at this," he said, voice rumbling like thunder. "We've torn heaven itself open… and all it gave us was another devil."

Ada reloaded her pistols with calm precision. "Then we'll just shoot this one too."

Newgate chuckled under his breath, spinning his naginata. "Heh. You talk big for someone bleeding that much, Rocks."

Rocks smirked, his sword still glowing with black lightning. "Blood means I'm still alive."

They stood together—captain, vice-captain, and the mightiest pirates alive—shoulder to shoulder before the god that ruled the world.

Wind howled around them, ripping banners from the ruins. The air itself bowed beneath their combined wills.

Rocks spoke first, low but clear.

"There's nothing to gain staying here. The world government, the Marines, the Celestials—they're all watching. This island's a tomb."

Ada frowned. "And leave you?"

Newgate adjusted his grip on his naginata. "Tombs are for the dead. We're still breathing."

Rocks laughed. "You think I'm dying that easy?"

Newgate slammed his naginata into the ground, cracking it beneath him. "If you think I'm running then you're a fool plus you always end up picking the tab anyways."

Linlin's hair billowed with heat, her eyes wild with rage. "MAMA MAMA! Run? I still haven't paid back that brat Kaido for stealing my fruit!"

Kaido snorted, twirling his kanabo with a wicked grin. "Heh. Don't get mad, old hag. Check this out—"

Flames engulfed him. His body lengthened, scales rippling across his flesh as horns and whiskers burst from his face. In seconds, Kaido towered above them in his dragon form, roaring into the dark sky.

A shockwave of pure pressure rolled across the battlefield.

Whitebeard shielded his eyes. "Tch… kid's gone and turned into a damn monster."

Ada smirked despite the destruction. "He's always been one."

Linlin snarled, pointing her sword at him. "You owe me, brat! You better remember that when this is over!"

Kaido laughed, his voice booming through the storm. "Fine! I'll owe you one after this is all over!"

Ada smirked at the sky, eyes narrowing as she loaded her pistols. "Boys and their toys. Try not to level the island before I get a few shots in."

Rocks barked a laugh, unsheathing his curved blade. "Let's show the gods what mortals can do."

The ground around them trembled — Saturn's claws dragging across stone, leaving trails of molten ruin. His body pulsed like a dying star, and that voice — Imu's — spoke again.

"The age of chaos ends here."

Rocks' grin faded, replaced by something cold and sharp. "Chaos made this world what it is."

He looked at his crew — the strongest monsters ever to walk the seas.

The strongest Man in the world

The strongest woman in the world

The strongest creature in the world

The strongest assassin in the world

However, in that moment, they were not yet legends — only pirates chasing a madman's dream. Those titles would come with time.

For now, they were simply the Rocks Pirates — united under one impossible dream.

Rocks barked a laugh — low and fierce. "That's enough talk. You want to live? Then fight like the devils they call us."

Ada clicked her guns into place. "I was born ready."

Newgate cracked his neck. "Then let's shake the world one more time."

Saturn raised his clawed hand, and the sky blackened. The air itself grew heavy as if the world was suffocating.

A pillar of darkness erupted beneath him — twisting, seething — swallowing everything in its path.

Whitebeard was the first to charge, quake power surging through his weapon. "GURA GURA—!"

He swung.

The quake shattered the ground, splitting it like glass. The shockwave slammed into Saturn's chest, sending shockwaves across the island.

Kaido followed, unleashing his first blast of dragon flame, a torrent of searing light that cut across the smoke.

But Saturn barely flinched. He raised one claw and absorbed the flames into his body, eyes glowing brighter.

"Pathetic," Imu's voice sneered through him.

Ada stepped forward, her eyes narrowing. "Then let's see how you like this."

She spun her pistols — both blazing with Armament Haki and crackling with her Conqueror's aura — and opened fire. Each bullet twisted midair, carving glowing arcs before slamming into Saturn's limbs. They burst like meteors, slicing through his monstrous form and drawing a spray of black blood.

For the first time, the monster staggered.

"Captain!" Ada shouted. "Now!"

Rocks grinned and leapt forward, blade coated in darkness. "GOOD CALL!"

Their attacks struck in unison — Ada's bullets guiding Rocks' blade like the pull of fate.

Saturn roared, claw meeting sword in a blinding clash. The shockwave split the clouds, lightning raining from above as Haki collided with the will of a god.

The world itself screamed.

But then, the pained roar stopped.

Imu's voice hissed again — cold, infinite, unfeeling.

"You dare defy eternity?"

The air shattered.

A wave of pure darkness exploded from Saturn's body, consuming everything within its reach.

Kaido was sent flying into a crumbling wall, his dragon form crashing through stone.

Linlin screamed, clutching her arm as it cracked from the pressure.

Ada was thrown back, the world spinning — only to be caught midair by Newgates massive arm.

"Easy there, lass," he grunted. "Stay with me."

She coughed, eyes fierce despite the blood at her lips. "He's— regenerating—"

Rocks pushed himself to his feet, blood dripping from his jaw but his grin undying. "Then we just keep killing him until he stays dead."

Ada smirked and reloaded. "Sounds like a plan, Captain."

The five of them — Rocks, Ada, Newgate, Kaido, and Linlin — stood shoulder to shoulder, facing the abyss incarnate.

The air vibrated with power. Their combined Haki tore through the storm, painting the sky in streaks of red and gold.

They could feel it — that shared pulse of madness, pride, and defiance.

Kaido laughed from above, circling the battlefield. "HAHA! So this is what it feels like to fight a god!"

Linlin growled back, flames dancing in her hair. "Shut up and don't die before you pay me back!"

Whitebeard raised his naginata. "Enough bickering — move!"

Rocks lifted his sword, its black aura stretching into the heavens. "Let's show the world what pirates are made of!"

Ada dashed forward, moving faster than thought. Her dress fluttered like a flame as she slid beneath Saturn's sweeping claw, twin pistols blazing.

Every shot sang through the storm, marking a rhythm of defiance.

Saturn countered with a storm of energy spikes. Ada vaulted over them, landing on his forearm and firing point-blank into his neck. The explosion threw her clear; she flipped mid-air and landed beside Rocks, smoke curling from her guns.

"You aim like the devil himself," Rocks growled appreciatively.

"Flattery won't keep you alive," she shot back, smiling.

Imu's power deepened, black tendrils erupting from Saturn's back, fusing with the ground. Eyes opened along his arms—dozens, hundreds—each glowing with ancient malice.

Linlin growled, clutching her bleeding arm. "I'll crush every one of those eyes!"

Kaido dove from the sky, slamming Saturn into the crater. The impact cracked the island's foundation. For a heartbeat, silence reigned.

Then the ground began to move.

Pillars of black crystal erupted upward, impaling ships, houses, and men alike. The voices of the dying filled the air. Imu spoke through them all.

"This world was never yours."

Rocks stood firm. "Then it's time we take it."

He raised his sword high, its edge gleaming crimson under the lightning. Ada stepped beside him, pistols ready. Whitebeard and Linlin flanked them; Kaido's massive form coiled overhead.

Five conquerors, one god.

They charged.

Newgate struck first, his quake power ripping the earth in two. Linlin hurled flaming debris the size of galleons. Kaido wrapped around Saturn's torso, crushing him in coils of scaled fury. Ada's bullets rained down in perfect rhythm with Rocks' blade.

Every strike carved another scar into divinity.

Imu screamed through Saturn, the sound splitting minds.

The sky turned black, the sea boiled, and from the heavens poured a rain of burning ash.

Ada leapt through it all, her red dress glowing like a brand against the darkness. She slid across Kaido's back, vaulting from his scales, landing beside Rocks again.

He looked at her briefly amid the chaos. "You could have left, Ada. You've already done your part."

She smirked, hair whipping in the wind. "Vice-captains don't abandon their captains."

Rocks laughed, the sound booming over the storm. "Then let's end this together!"

From afar, even the distant Marine lines felt it.

Sengoku and Kong, locked in battle against Shiki and Silver Axe, turned as a wave of raw energy tore through the battlefield.

Kong's eyes widened. "What in the hell—?!"

Sengoku clenched his jaw. "That's not human."

The sky above them cracked, revealing flashes of red and black. Haki lightning burned like the birth of a new sun.

Far Away

Roger and Rayleigh halted on a distant ridge, watching the storm devour the horizon.

"What the hell are they doing?" Rayleigh whispered.

Roger grinned, awe and sorrow mingling in his eyes. "Changing everything."

Back in the center, Saturn—Imu—howled. The energy around him condensed into a blinding sphere. The island buckled; trees uprooted; mountains bent. Ada and the others regrouped, panting, bloodied, but unbroken.

Kaido transformed back into his human form, smoke curling from his mouth. "Heh… this fruit's a little wild."

Linlin scowled. "You owe me, brat!"

Whitebeard looked to Rocks. "Rocks, if we stay, this island sinks."

Rocks wiped blood from his face. "Then let it. History's already watching."

Ada steadied her aim, standing beside him. "We're facing the world itself."

Rocks grinned, sword blazing with Conqueror's Haki. "Then let's make it bleed."

They charged once more—the five titans of the sea against the embodiment of the world's throne.

Every clash reshaped the island; every heartbeat rewrote history.
