Chen Mei took another look at Bai Li and thought in her heart that the two of these women must be of similar age and even though they both seem to be similar in their success in life but there is a very distinct differentiation between their personalities. One is an extremely soft spoken and beautiful woman whose every move seems to flow with a kind of elegance which is sophisticated but also has an underlying charm hidden within.
On the other hand, Miss Bai Li seems more stoic and cold. She is really tall and her 3 parts beauty and 7 parts handsome face is really something else. She has seen the portfolio of this young woman and given her high paying job as a software engineer in such a multinational tech company, it's no wonder that she could own her own home at such a young age.
But more than her age, it was the way she presented herself which struck her the most. Chen Mei has never seen someone who looks so mature in comparison to her age. The way Bai Li sits and her posture and the way she holds her coffee cup and the way she sips it so elegantly, Chen Mei has only ever seen people of extremely high status doing it.
Chen Mei didn't know why a seemingly ordinary office worker could have such a commanding air to her every step. Anyway, her job was to just sell the property and earn some commission. Who her client is, is not in any of her business.
Chen Mei quickly finished her glass of water and sat up straight as she looked at Bai Li and got down to business.
:Miss Bai. You want to sell this particular property right?"
Bai Li took another calm sip of coffee as she put the cup down and glanced slightly at Chen Mei and said in her usual deep voice,
"Yes. What do you think of this place?"
Chen Mei nodded thoughtfully, then rose from her seat. "Let's take a look."
She began walking around the apartment, her heels making soft clicks against the polished wooden floor. She checked the corners, glanced at the walls, and even ran her fingers lightly over the paint. She peeked into the kitchen, inspected the counters, then moved to the bedroom to look at the closets and windows. Her face remained focused as she made mental notes but the unconscious nodding of her head as well as the slight smile on her face seemed to say that she was really satisfied with the condition of this home.
She sat back down and straightened her posture before saying with a smile on her face,
"Well, the apartment seems to be in a really good condition. There are no scribbles or other scratches or some similar damaging marks on the wall which is a very good prospect to have. It means that there would be no need to redo any additional work on the walls except for some thorough cleaning.
"Well," she began, smiling again, "the apartment is in very good condition. The flooring looks almost new, and the walls have no scribbles, cracks, or visible stains. That's a very positive sign. It means we won't need to spend extra money or time on touch-ups. Just a simple cleaning before the handover should be enough."
Bai Li nodded slightly. "That's good."
Chen Mei leaned forward a little. "And since it's a two-bedroom apartment in the Riverside Complex, the demand is already high. Many people want to move into this area — good schools, clean surroundings, and close to the metro. Actually," she paused, smiling knowingly, "we already have a few potential buyers in our list. One of them has been looking specifically for a property here."
Bai Li tilted her head a little. "Oh?"
"Yes," Chen Mei said with a hint of excitement. "He's been trying to find a place near the river for the past two months. I talked to him just yesterday, and he mentioned he was ready to make a purchase if something good came up. If you'd like, I can call him right now. He's available today."
Bai Li's eyes stayed on her, calm but focused. "Perfect," she said finally. "Call him here. I want this transaction completed today if possible. I'll also contact the building manager and make sure he's here for the transfer."
Chen Mei blinked, slightly surprised by how direct Bai Li was. Most sellers hesitated or took days to decide. But she quickly nodded, professional instinct kicking in. "Of course. I'll call him right away."
..
..
It took almost half an hour before the client mentioned by Chen Mei arrived and coincidentally, the building manager also arrived at that exact time.
Afterwards, it took almost over an hour to finalize the deal with a client who wanted to lower the price, but Bai Li didn't budge as the price she offered was already slightly below the market price.
The building manager took out his folder and began pulling out documents. Chen Mei switched into full agent mode, explaining the forms and showing where to sign. Pages were spread across the table, and the sound of pens scratching paper filled the air.
There wasn't much talk after that, just the steady rhythm of business getting done. Bai Li signed her name again and again, each stroke neat and sure. The buyer filled out his own sections, checking details on his phone now and then. The manager handled the verification and logged into the property system to update the ownership information.
Within an hour, everything was complete. The final contract was stamped, scanned, and uploaded to the system. The buyer transferred the payment through his banking app under Chen Mei's supervision, and moments later, Bai Li's phone buzzed with a notification, transaction successful.
A total of six million yuan were transferred to her account. Now her total bank balance was a staggering 28 million yuan!
Bai Li stood up, feeling a little satisfied inside as she slid her phone into her pocket as Chen Mei congratulated both sides. The buyer thanked her once more, promising to take good care of the apartment. Bai Li only nodded lightly.
Bai Li was given a week's worth of time to vacate this place and move out. This was the standard time given to anyone who sells a property in an apartment complex.
After sending the buyer away with a few friendly goodbyes, Bai Li soon turned her attention to the still waiting Building manager and Chen Mei inside.
