Chapter 108 - Chapter 108 Absence Makes the Heart Blossom, Lady Viper Asks for Battle!

The new body he wanted to create needed to possess both the powerful combat capabilities of nanobots and the flesh-and-blood resilience of a human.

After all, that was precisely why he had upgraded 2B and Tifa—to make them serve him more effectively.

If combat performance alone were the goal, his current combination of a vibranium frame and adamantium weaponry was already nearly perfect. Given his technological prowess, transforming 2B and Tifa into true cyborgs—beings of integrated flesh and machine—wouldn't have been difficult. He could have done it long ago.

But that would have introduced a problem: it would have severely reduced their combat effectiveness.

Flesh suffers. Machines ascend. To dilute their mechanical perfection with vulnerable organic tissue would be a step backward.

Now, however, with the integration of advanced nanotechnology and symbiotic biology, a new possibility had emerged. At the nanoscale, flesh cells could be fused with programmable nanoparticles, creating a novel biological architecture with nanoparticles as its energetic core.

This hybrid structure retained the nanorobots' ability to disperse and reassemble at will, while also preserving the adaptive, carbon-based nature of living organisms.

It was nothing short of revolutionary. With this breakthrough, Loren wasn't just an engineer—he was a creator, wielding the power to forge life itself.

Fueled by this vision, he threw himself into his research without hesitation.

A few days later, he developed an optimized lizard serum and administered it to Dr. Connors.

This marked his first human trial, designed to master cross-species gene fusion. The results exceeded his expectations: Connors not only regained his human form permanently but also regrew his severed arm—and, crucially, would no longer transform into the monstrous Lizard.

The success confirmed that Loren had fully mastered cross-species genetic integration.

Now, he could finally begin work on his next project: a new generation of general-purpose combat units—entities that were neither purely machine nor merely human, but something far greater.

He currently possessed over 200 kilograms of vibranium. Combined with symbiote genes and refined human DNA, it was more than enough to craft several new companions… or, as he privately thought of them, wives.

Eager to begin, he turned back to his console—when Tifa suddenly appeared at the lab entrance, accompanied by a veiled woman.

"Boss, Viper is here!" Tifa announced.

Before Loren could respond, the masked woman swept the black coat from her shoulders.

Beneath it, she wore a daring black lace corset that plunged low, a skirt so short it barely covered her hips, sheer black stockings, and stiletto heels. Her figure was undeniably stunning—voluptuous, poised, and radiating raw allure.

Loren inhaled sharply. Amazing, he thought.

For days, he'd been sequestered in the lab, obsessed with his research, living like a monk. He hadn't "eaten meat," as he liked to say, in far too long.

And now Viper had chosen this moment to show up looking like that?

"Boss," Viper purred, stepping forward with hypnotic grace, "the three-month enhancement period is up. The effects of the serum have worn off. I need a fresh injection."

She stopped inches from him, lifted a hand, and hooked a finger under his chin, her eyes smoldering. "And… I'd like to ask for something else, too."

"What's that?" Loren asked, feigning ignorance.

"Don't play dumb," she whispered, leaning in until her crimson lips nearly brushed his ear. "You know exactly what I mean."

Much later, Viper lay curled against him, her earlier intensity softened into quiet contentment. Her cheeks still glowed, her expression blissful.

"Boss," she murmured, gazing up at him with sultry eyes, "I did well, didn't I? Don't I deserve a reward?"

"Hmm… that's certainly possible," Loren replied, still savoring the afterglow. "What do you want?"

Truth be told, Viper was exceptional—wild, intuitive, and surprisingly skilled for a newcomer. Perhaps it was because he'd grown accustomed to the mechanical precision of 2B and Tifa. However lifelike they were, they remained constructs—flawless, yet lacking the warmth, unpredictability, and humanity of someone like Viper.

But soon, that would change. Once his new bodies were complete, even 2B and Tifa would be indistinguishable from real people.

The thought sent a fresh thrill through him.

Viper's eyes sparkled at his question. "I want a permanent infusion of the Super Soldier Serum," she said earnestly. "I want to serve you better—not just for three months, but forever."

She was sincere. Her seductive display wasn't just about pleasure; it was devotion. As a loyal maid, it was her duty to please her master in every way. And if she pleased him enough… maybe, just maybe, he'd make her one of his permanent companions.

She'd never known a joy like this before. Now that she had, she never wanted to return to that dull, empty existence.

Loren smirked. "So you're not trying to lighten my burdens—you're trying to exhaust me, aren't you?"

"Shh," she giggled, pressing a finger to his lips. "Don't say it out loud. Who told you to be so capable? If I don't keep up, I'll fall behind!"

He chuckled. "You've done well over these past three months. Consider your probation over—you're officially a full-time member of my inner circle."

"And as a reward," he continued, "I'll grant you the permanent Super Soldier Serum. Plus… one extra gift."

Viper's breath caught. "Another gift? Really? Thank you, Boss! What is it?"

"I'll tell you later," he said, his tone shifting as he grew serious. "But first—did you find the person I asked you to locate?"

He was, of course, referring to the Scarlet Witch—Wanda Maximoff.

Her origins varied wildly across the Marvel multiverse. In the comics, she was a mutant, her chaos magic rooted in her X-gene. In the MCU, her powers stemmed from the Mind Stone's experiments.

Which version existed in this reality? Knowing the answer would let him prepare accordingly.

After all, as a man of refined tastes—and unde

niable appetites—how could he possibly let a goddess like Wanda slip through his fingers?
