Chapter 10 - I have to work? (3)

Outside of the Blackmane Guild's main building, a black car stopped in front of the entrance. The door opened, and a tall man with striking features came out. The absence of light in his eyes made the men guarding the front door flinch.

They knew very well who this esteemed person is.

Blue Dragon's Guildmaster and is currently ranked as the number 1 hunter in Korea.

Ryu Jinmu.

The lone SS-Rank Hunter in the country.

His presence alone made the hunters who fell below his rank feel intense pressure.

Step. Step.

One guard finally snapped out of his thoughts once he saw Ryu Jinmu approach, politely asking him.

"Good morning, Hunter Ryu Jinmu-nim. You're here to…?"

Shin Moon, Ryu Jinmu's secretary, stepped up.

"We're here to commission a support hunter."

"Ah, yes! Then, let me escort you to the Commission Center."

They welcomed him in the lobby, and everyone greeted him with a smile. Some female employees were getting shy, allured by his majestically handsome face.

However, some of them appeared to be worried. They whispered to each other.

"That's…"

"Don't tell me… that's why Haemin-nim…"

"You think he knew?"

"Of course. He does everything he can to be… same room as Ryu Jinmu…"

Ryu Jinmu muttered,

"It's quite noisy."

Shin Moon nudged her glasses.

"It can't be helped, Guildmaster. With all that happened between you and Hunter Haemin."

"Nothing happened between us."

Jinmu frowned at her, but she only shrugged her shoulders.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the Auxiliary Commission Center floor. The Blackmane Guild's staff didn't let them wait and prioritized them over other commissions.

Shin Moon provided everything they needed, while Ryu Jinmu sat down with his eyes closed.

Their commission was simple.

Two A-Rank Support Hunters to go with Blue Dragon's Team 2 inside an A-Rank Dungeon.

They did the standard procedure and were now waiting for hunters who would accept the job. Shin Moon turned her head around as she heard faint voices outside slowly approaching.

Click.

Jiwon opened the glass door while speaking.

"Now then, the young master would check if there's a job worthy of your skills to be… huh?"

Her eyeballs seemed as if they could pop out of their sockets with how wide she opened her eyes.

No way…!

To think this person would be here now, of all times. She did not expect this at all.

Of all the days off that the young master had, why did he have to come here now?!

She swiftly turned back and spun Haemin, preventing him from seeing the man sitting inside the office.

"Young master, let's go later!"

"Huh? Why—?"

Haemin was surprised at her action, but he didn't have to wonder why.

He soon heard a cold voice behind him speak,

"Didn't I tell you last time? That I'll kill you if you show your face in front of me again."

"What…?"

He turned around to see a familiar face.

The face of the man he first saw when he came to this world, even before he saw Haemin's face in the mirror. The crazy guy who didn't bat an eye when threatening to kill him, even though he didn't do anything.

Well, I guess you could say I did do something to him. Or more like, Baek Haemin did. Still…

Ryu Jinmu opened his eyes. His menacing glare made everyone in the room uneasy, knowing the history between the two men.

Baek Haemin clenched his fist.

Dammit. Look at him, he looks ready to kill me! Ah, I don't want this anymore! I want to go home!

"Do you want to die that much?"

Ryu Jinmu asked.

Who wants to die?! Are you insane? This is already my second life, you know! You crazy bastard. Is this really the main character I know? I don't remember Ryu Jinmu being this much of a psycho in the novel though?!

He scratched the back of his head,

"Calm down. It wasn't on purpose, okay? I didn't even know you'd be here."

"Ha!"

Ryu Jinmu scoffed at him. He stood as he smirked.

"Should I really just kill you? You spout lies as if they're nothing."

What?! This bastard… is he really a fucking psycho?!

"H, hey! I haven't done anything at all! I've been quiet these past few days. I haven't bothered you at all after that, right?"

Haemin quickly defended himself.

But Ryu Jinmu didn't say anything, only intensifying his glare at him.

Ah, shit. I have to think of something quick before this guy really kills me! Ah, that's right!

He held his chest high as he thought of something.

"B, by the way, I don't like you at all! I mean, not anymore! I've moved on! Like waking up from a nightmare. I realized I don't actually find you attractive at all!"

Oh, nice! As expected of me! That's right. I don't like you anymore, I won't bother you anymore. So please, forget about me and I will spend the rest of my life here quietly avoiding you!

Ryu Jinmu opened his mouth.

"Are you saying that liking me is a nightmare?"

Haemin flinched.

"N, no, that's…"

He didn't know what to say. The main character's glare was too nerve-wracking. It was making it hard for him to think straight.

Ding!

[System:

{Warning! Immense pressure detected!}

Skill: Soul Calming Cleanser (L)

Activated.]

His mind immediately started clearing up, and his body relaxed. The fear he felt earlier quickly vanished after the skill activated.

Phew! Thanks, system-nim!

A man with glasses approached them.

"U, uhm, Hunter Ryu Jinmu-nim?"

Everyone's attention went to the staff. The tension between Ryu Jinmu and Baek Haemin was cut off and Shin Moon approached him.

"Did someone accept it?"

"A, about that, you see… That's the thing. Apparently, most of our A-Rank support hunters are currently inside dungeons. The remaining ones have already been commissioned by the other main guilds last week, until the following next two weeks."

The staff nervously responded.

Ryu Jinmu frowned, making the employees around them flinch. Shin Moon had to stop him from exuding pressure.

She sighed.

"Well, can't you do something about the remaining ones? We have to go to the dungeon tomorrow. You're not going to let us enter an A-Rank dungeon without support now, would you? We'll file a report to the Association if you do."

She didn't want to, but she had to push him. Conquering an S-Rank dungeon is not a walk in the park. Their hunters would suffer huge damages if they go inside without any support hunters.

The staff teared up at the pressure,

"B, but Hunter Ryu Jinmu-nim is an SS-Rank, so…"

"Still! The Guildmaster is only there for the worst-case scenario. He can't possibly babysit everyone, right?"

Water came out of the staff's nose, but he tried to sniff it back.

"T, there is someone free…"

Shin Moon asked,

"Who? Tell me where they are, let me talk to them!"

The staff pointed to his left.

"H, Haemin-nim here is known to be the country's best support hunter, so… just him alone should be enough to help you…"
