{ IN HUMAN HOST }
The rain is pouring down heavily. Its intensity has not lessened at all. Thunder and lightning are present as well. "Oh, this isn't stopping yet! What a rain this is, won't it ever end? " Two girls are walking home. "Look, we are later than usual today, it's all because of you!!" The girl walking in front said angrily. "How am I the reason? It was the professor who held us back, wasn't it? " The girl walking behind replied.
You have a reply for everything, Nova, for every single thing—if we are late, if we cut class... for everything, even for this. What reason are you going to tell Mom now?" she asked again, angrily.
There was no reply from behind.
"Nova... I'm asking you?" she asked again.
But no reply came.
"Why are you so silent, Nova..."
When she turned around, Nova was not behind her.
"Nova!"
She was truly scared seeing that the person who had been with her all this time was now gone.
"Nova..."
She called out again and again. But the girl who had come with her was nowhere to be seen.
Not knowing where she went in that rain, she got scared and walked back the way they came.
"Nova... Don't joke around, where are you??" she called out, trying to look.
When she walked far back, she saw Nova standing halfway down the path, looking at something.
Slowly, she approached Nova.
"Nova, what are you doing here?" she asked.
Suddenly, Nova clapped her hand over her mouth. "Shh, be quiet."
She couldn't understand anything. "What is it?"
Nova slowly pointed her finger in the opposite direction.
Someone was burying something in the rain.
When the faint glow of light from a distance and the flash of lightning came, small blood stains could be seen on that person's body.
"Nova, who is that?" she asked in a scared, trembling voice.
"How should I know," she replied.
"Nova, come on, let's go, this is dangerous."
"Hey, just wait a minute," Nova stopped her.
"Nova, this is dangerous, what if he's a murderer or something? If he knows we saw him, he will kill us too."
"What are you saying, Nimmy? How can you be sure that he has committed a murder?"
"Nova, this is not the time to argue, let's go!"
Nimmy grabbed Nova and pulled her.
"Nimmy, please stop. Let's see what is thereafter he leaves." Nova insisted.
"Nova, are you crazy??? Do you know how dangerous this is? Come on !" Nimmy forcefully grabbed Nova and ran away from the spot.
After covering a good distance, they finally stopped.
"Nova, you are being a bit much. Are you crazy to stand there, even knowing it was dangerous?" Nimmy fumed.
"How can we be sure he was a murderer? What if he was burying a dog or a cat?"
"Then why didn't you go closer instead of staying away? If it had been a dog or a cat, you would have gone and stood right next to it, so why didn't you go?"
Nova stood silent.
"So you know this was dangerous. Then why? If he had seen us, my life would have been lost along with yours." Nimmy's anger
was becoming uncontrollable. "This is not a joke, Nova," she stated firmly.
"Excuse me?"
Suddenly, that person came close to them. Seeing him, both girls froze, trembling with fear.
"Miss, the way to this Albert Villa??"
Hearing his voice, Nancy (Note: The name mentioned here seems to be an error in the original text, as the character is Nimmy. Assuming the correct name is Nimmy for continuity) shivered. He asked her.
"I don't know," she replied, terrified.
"You live here and you don't know??"
"Just because we live here, does that mean we must know everything??" Nova retorted sharply.
"Hmm, smart," he moved closer to Nova.
Suddenly, " Nimmy no !" Nova said, shocked, looking behind him.
He also quickly turned to look.
But there was no one there. As soon as he turned, Nova looked at his face and, since she knew Judo, delivered a powerful spin kick. Since it was an unexpected strike, he immediately fell to the ground.
"Nimmy, come on!"
Both of them quickly ran away from there. Intermittently, they checked to see if he was following them. Perhaps because of the unexpected kick, the person couldn't get up.
The girls reached their house.
Their mother and father were scared to see both of them standing drenched in the rain.
"Nimmy, Nova, what happened?" Their mother took them inside and asked anxiously.
They stood there, not knowing what to say.
"Did you two fight again? Nimmy, you tell me what happened."
Finally, Nimmy told them everything—everything they had seen.
Hearing this, the father and mother were greatly frightened. Nova felt sad, thinking that she was the cause of it all.
"Nova," her father called her over.
"Sorry, Dad, I did it because of my curiosity," she said fearfully.
"It's okay, let it go. Just don't repeat this again." He comforted her and sent her to her room. "Nova, from now on, you must always be there for your sibling, just like you protected her today. I am proud of you, my child." He then left the spot.
Nova slowly walked into her room.
Nova is not like Nimmy. Nimmy is an innocent, gentle girl who interacts kindly with everyone. But Nova is the exact opposite.
"Nova."
Nimmy was waiting for her in the room.
"What, wasn't what you said here today enough? Is there more?" she asked, not looking at her.
Nimmy suddenly hugged her.
Nova was startled and frozen because of the sudden action.
"Ni... Nim... Nimmy," she stammered.
"Thanks," Nimmy said, hugging her.
"For what?"
"I am alive today because of you. I scolded you a lot, but that was out of fear that something might happen to you. But looking at you now, I am proud, Nova."
Feeling that there was some truth in what Nimmy and Nova said, their parents informed the police.
(The next day) ::
Based on the complaint from Nova and Nimmy's parents, the police began inspecting the spot where the person was said to have buried something. At the end of the inspection, they found something wrapped up there.
Nimmy and Nova were shocked to see it. When it was opened, what was inside was something that would shake the entire village.
A girl's corpse. A fresh corpse, not very old.
Nimmy and Nova were shocked by the sight. Nimmy slowly looked at Nova.
(At the Office)
It felt as though all the problems had subsided now. Shinova had begun to understand her dream. She was tackling the pending work she had accumulated from not going to the office for a while, one by one.
Nancy approached Shinova, who was busy working.
"Excuse me, Miss Zerin Shinova."
Shinova glanced at her and continued working.
"Yes?"
"What is it? Seems like you have quite a lot of pending work?"Nancy picked up the files on the desk and looked through them.
"Nancy, put that down. I've finally managed to arrange them in order." Shinova grew anxious.
"Oh, sorry, sorry. Alright, let the work continue." Nancy left the area.
(Afternoon)
After finishing the pending work and submitting it to the boss, Shinova went to Nancy's cubicle. Nancy was just about to leave for lunch.
"Hey, is your work done? I stayed here thinking I would go once you arrived." Nancy walked out.
The two of them went into a restaurant outside.
"Shinova, are you okay now?" Nancy asked.
"Hmm... yes," she replied slowly.
"I finally felt relieved once everything settled down. Now you won't have any problems like before, right ?" Hearing Nancy's talk, Shinova fell into thought.
"Shinova, what are you thinking? Did I say anything wrong?" Nancy asked.
"I don't know."
"What?" Nancy asked with suspicion.
"Shinova, is there a problem? Did you see something again?"
Shinova was having some kind of feeling.
"No. I haven't seen any dreams for the past few days."
"Then what is it? Why do you seem a bit off?"
"I don't know, Nancy, I just feel like the problems here haven't ended."
Nancy looked at her suspiciously.
"Hmm, whatever it is, let's just hope the next problem doesn't land at a police station again."
Shinova looked confused.
"In all these years, I wasn't afraid of ghostsor spirits until I saw one in person. But," she paused, "now I can't afford to stop believing in them either."
"What are you trying to say? Did you see a ghost?"
"Did I see one? Yes, and I even saw it off with a good smack."
"What?" Shinova looked at her with astonishment.
"Yes. All this time, hearing the word 'ghost' brought fear. Now, it's just disgust." Disgust over the past events was evident on Nancy's face.
"Nancy, tell me clearly what happened."
"That day at the station, amidst all the chaos, I saw a ghost. I have never seen such a lustful ghost in my life. The son of a dog, a scoundrel, a creep, wanted me! I immediately gave him one right on his head."
"Where at the station?" Hearing Shinova's question, Nancy hesitated slightly.
"Tell me, where was it??"
"Well, it was near the bathroom section there," she whispered.
"Which section? Gents or Women's?"
"Gents'," Nancy replied.
Hearing that, a small smile crept onto Shinova's face, but she didn't let it show.
"It's alright. Next time, show him your full revenge."
The New Case at the Office :1/5
After lunch hour, the two of them returned to the office. Nancy went to her cubicle, and Shinova went to hers.
A short while later, Nancy rushed to Shinova's cubicle.
" Shino !!!" she called out.
"What is it?" Shinova asked, startled.
Nancy's face was a mix of fear and shock.
"What happened, Nancy ?" she asked, seeing Nancy's expression.
Nancy placed the file she was carrying onto Shinova's table. Shinova picked up the file and opened it.
{An unidentified corpse of a girl has been discovered}
The news shocked both of them. However, the fear that was previously in Shinova's eyes was now gone.
"Shinova... this is..." Nancy said, fearfully.
"He has started again !" A deep anger began to rise inside Shinova.
"But how...? You destroyed him, didn't you?" Nancy asked with doubt.
"Yes, but it wasn't him."
Nancy looked confused. "What? Not him? What are you saying, Shinova? Then who was that?"
"Nancy, the one we are searching for is not the one I destroyed that day. That was a..." Shinova suddenly stopped.
"That....!!! Then who was that person?" Nancy pressed again.
Suddenly, someone knocked on Shinova's cabin door.
"Yes, come in."
It was her boss. "Miss Shinova, are you free?" he asked.
"Yes, Sir, what is it?"
He took a paper and placed it in front of her. "Well, this person's dog has gone missing. He came to place an ad in the newspaper. You need to handle it for him."
There was another person with the boss—a young man, handsome to look at.
"Certainly, Sir." She took the paper.
The boss left after having the man stand in Shinova's cabin. Before leaving, he called, "Miss Nancy, you come too."
"Yes, Boss, coming," Nancy left.
Shinova returned to her seat. "Please sit, Mr....?"
"Kevin."
"Oh yes, Kevin. Tell me about your missing dog." Kevin recounted the details to her with great sadness.
"Okay, Mr. Kevin. Please give me a photo of the dog; I will place the ad in the newspaper. I also need your correct address."
"Okay, Miss...?"
"Shinova... I mean Zerin Shinova."
"Ok, Miss Shino."
He gave her his details and left. Even after he left, Shinova was preoccupied with the new death news.
"He is still here, somewhere,"she said to herself.
The Shocking Revelation :1/6
After finishing the remaining work and Kevin's case, she left the office to head home. Nancy also seemed to be deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing."
"Nancy, tell me what happened ?" Shinova pressed again.
"Well, that guy who came in today, the one the boss assigned to you..."
"Yes, what about him?"
"I've seen him somewhere." Nancy tried to recall something.
"Nancy, don't you start too. Come on, let's go."
The two of them boarded the train.
"Shinova, you didn't finish telling me the rest."
"What ?". She looked at Nancy suspiciously.
"What we were talking about—about the guy you destroyed last." Nancy said, looking around cautiously.
"Nancy, that...?" Shinova hesitated to speak.
"Shinova, you are hiding something from me, tell me,. !" she insisted.
"Nancy, the one I destroyed was a normal human being." Nancy was shocked by Shinova's answer.
"What???"
" Yes, a normal human."
"Then the one we are searching for?!"
"Exactly. I don't know if he is a ghost or some kind of power, but I am sure he is not a human."
Nancy sat there, stunned by everything she heard. "Shinova, all this is making me scared. I can't believe there are such people on earth."
Shinova looked out the window. "Nancy, all the people living on Earth are like this in one way or another—ghosts, cruel beings, superhumans, and so on. But they can only show those feelings within themselves; in a way, they are just feelings. They can only show them as mere feelings. However, there are others. They are not just like this because of feelings; they can show it through their actions. They will also possess some kind of power. They use that power to defeat those who stand against them, they commit murders, and perhaps they could even destroy the world. The one we are searching for belongs to the second category I mentioned. But I haven't been able to figure out his goal here yet. He is committing all these murders with some intention. Perhaps his target could even be me. Or, he could be a slave working for someone else."
Nancy was terribly scared by what Shinova said. "Shinova, then he must know that you are searching for him, right ?" she asked quietly.
"He might know, I can't give you a definite answer, Nancy."
Seeing her stop approaching, Shinova got off the train. Before that, she told Nancy, "You are enduring a lot for me, but it shouldn't endanger you. You must be careful, Nancy. Whatever happens, you must inform me or Devis."
She got off at the stop and walked forward.
{Tring...}
"Hello." It was Devis.
"Devis, what is it?" she asked.
"Shinova, where are you now? I need to see you."
"I'm at the station now, Devi," she replied.
"Hello... Shinova..." The range started cutting out.
"S **t. She walked forward.
The Confrontation :1/7
As she walked a little further out of the station, she began to feel like someone was following her. She gathered her courage and walked on. She turned into the same alley she had entered once before. After walking for a while, she stopped in front of the tall wall.
"Smart."
The person behind her said, smiling.
"You truly are clever, Shinova," he said again.
His voice was low, yet it did not instill fear in Shinova.
"I also didn't expect you to return this quickly." she said fearlessly.
"Good. Now you are not the same person as before; you have changed. That courage in your voice, I feel like I've seen it somewhere before..."
She slowly turned to face the person. She stared at the figure standing in the dark.
"You are always afraid of me..." Hearing that, a smile appeared on Shinova's face.
"The one always hiding in the dark is not me. I have always stood in the light. Every moment you came before me, you hid behind a veil of darkness. Does that mean I am afraid of you, or...?"
"Sarah," the person said quietly.
"Yes, Sarah... She was the last person I sawthis courage in. But it didn't last long. Thiscourage in you now, well done!" He began to laugh, a terrifying laugh. "You are just like her, your courage, everything."
"Who are you? !" Shinova asked angrily.
"There is still time for you to know who I am, Shinova... Why the hurry...? You could be me sometimes, or sometimes you could be from me. Why this insistence on knowing everything all at once, Shino... Miss Zerin Shinova."
He emerged halfway from the darkness, but his face was still not clear.
"What do you want? Why are you following me?"
Hearing that, he laughed again.
"Tell me ???" Shinova asked again and again, angrily.
However, he slowly started walking back into the darkness.
"Stop! You must answer my question." No matter how much she asked, he started to disappear backwards without saying anything.
"No!"
As she moved forward to stop him, suddenly...
{AAHHHHHHHHHH}
An unbearable headache began to attack her again. Shinova started losing control, and she slowly fell to the ground. "No... No," she said softly. Blood began to flow from Shinova's nose. She slowly lay there, unconscious.
The Change : 1/8
Following her disappearance after a long time, Devis came searching for her. He checked his phone, but the call wasn't connecting. After searching for a long time, he finally checked the alley.
"Shino..."
Shinova lay there unconscious, with blood coming from her nose. Understanding that something had happened, Devis immediately took her to her room and gave her the necessary medical treatment.
After a few hours, Shinova opened her eyes. She sat up, startled.
"Shinova..." Devis was nearby. "Shinova, what happened? Did... something... happen again?"
He saw anger instead of fear in her eyes now.
"Shinova," Devis called, shaking her gently.
Shinova looked at his eyes, startled. He noticed a difference in her eyes; the color of her pupils had changed from normal.
"Shinova... what happened?" he asked.
"He came again."
"Who?" he asked, shocked.
"The one who is the cause of everything, the one we are searching for. He came looking for me today."
"What?"
"Yes, Devis, he came. He knows about me, and he has some intention regarding me." she said.
"What intention? But didn't you destroy him?"
"No, the one I destroyed wasn't the one we are searching for. The one I destroyed wasahuman." Devis couldn't believe it. "What?"
"Yes, I destroyed a human. We are not searching for a human, but a power living in the guise of a human." The shock flashed in Devis's eyes.
"He has killed another girl again. We must destroy him, or he will destroy this entire world, Devis."
She looked out at the pouring rain.
{Time 2:10 am}
The Obsession :1/9
A building outside the city. A dilapidated room inside it. Candles are lit here and there. A person entered the room from the darkness.
"How long, how much longer must I wait...!!!" he said in anger.
"Even though you were within arm's reach, why...!!! Why can't I get close to you??!"
He picked up a glass and threw it at a wall in front of him, shattering it. Shinova's picture was pasted on that wall.
{AAHHHH}
Shinova woke up, startled... Another dream had come to her again...
Shinova went to her bathroom, washed her face, and then looked at the mirror...
The pupils of her eyes had changed to a color that was a mixture of deep ""green ""and deep"" blue"". The veins on her palms were clearly visible in a ""blue ""color. That blue color had also spread into her hair.
"What is all this???? What is happening to me...???? I... Who am I....?!"!!!!!!...
