Chapter 4 - Emergence Of Power

{ The Moment Of Awakens}

(All this time, it was those dreams that were changing her life. But now, besides the dreams, something else has started to haunt her. Into Shinoyya's life, which is weakened and off-balance due to the dreams, some uninvited guests have now arrived.)

.... 1:3

"Doctor"...

" Doctor..."

As usual, Davis is on duty in his clinic. But somehow, he is unable to focus on his patients as he normally does. The client who came in has been calling him for quite some time.

"Doctor..."

"Y... Yes" Startled, Davis finally saw the patient sitting in front of him.

"Doctor, what happened? I've been calling you for so long."

"Oh, sorry, what was it about?"

"It's about my father's case report that you looked at."

"Oh, that's right. I did look at it. It's nothing serious; I will inform you if there's anything."

The person left the room, completely confused.

His mind is still preoccupied with the sights he saw that day.

"But still, how?" he said to himself.

"What 'still, how'?"

Darren entered the room. Davis hadn't expected Darren's arrival.

"What?"

He asked back as if he knew nothing.

"What and how?"

Darren asked sternly.

"Nothing," Davis quickly turned away and started looking at the case sheets.

"Davis."

"Yes."

"Are you hiding anything from me?"

Darren asked suspiciously.

"No," he replied in a single word without looking up.

Davis's behavior started to make Darren very suspicious.

"Davis, did you see Dr. Roy?"

Davis was slightly startled by the question.

"There's nothing to hide, I know you went there, and with you were two girls, one for treatment and the other as a companion."

He didn't know what to answer to Darren's questions.

"I know who you went with, why? Just answer me that."

Davis remained silent.

"Davis, you are trying to hide something, why? I am not your enemy."

Darren's words somehow made Davis very angry.

"Davis, what are you people hiding?"

"We!"

"Yes, I know who you went there for. I won't force you, but whatever you are hiding should not affect your life."

Darren walked out of the room.

His words greatly weakened Davis. He wants to confess everything, but for some reason, something is stopping him.

(At office)

Nancy is going through her work. Her mind, too, is filled with thoughts.

"She is getting into trouble again because of that missing case. Then Maryam's case, and what Davis said, what is all this? Is she really a ghost?"

"Nancy..."

A colleague called her.

"Yes."

"Miss Nancy, the boss is calling you."

"Oh, okay."

She went to the boss's cabin.

"May I come in, Sir?"

"Yes."

Her boss is a very strict person.

"Miss Nancy... Shino hasn't come in today either, has she?"

He asked without taking his eyes off the computer.

She stood there, not knowing what to say.

"I am asking you?"

"Sir, Shino has a health issue, that's why."

"For how long?"

"For some time, Sir."

"Okay."

He resumed his work.

Seeing that he wasn't saying anything more, Nancy turned to leave.

"Miss Nancy."

She paused for a moment.

"If Shinoy doesn't come in again, tell her not to come back here."

Nancy couldn't say anything.

(At room)

Shinoyya's fatigue is only slowly subsiding. All that has happened is pushing Shinoy into severe depression.

"First the dream, now someone else."

KRAAKK...

A grating, disturbing, and frightening sound from the bathroom.

KRAAK.....

KRAAK....

KRAAK...

She started hearing the sound again and again.

The sound kept getting louder; hearing it in her own ears made her feel an intense discomfort.

Slowly, she opened the door. There was no one inside.

There was no possibility of anyone being there.

"Where did that sound come from?"

She said to herself.

She checked everything inside the bathroom. No one!

She turned to leave but heard the same sound again, behind her.

Kraak kraak

Shinoy froze for a moment,

The sound began to be heard close to her ears; she started feeling the sensation one gets when someone is near.

Suddenly, Shinoy turned around, but there was no one.

Kraak,... Kraak...

Now the sound was again coming from behind her.

The sound was heard in the opposite direction of every direction she turned, meaning behind her.

Shinoy couldn't understand anything.

Kraak... Kraak... Kraaak

The grating, discomforting sound, like someone scratching the floor with nails, now started to be heard all around her.

"No... this isn't real..."

The walls around her now seemed to be closing in on her; the room began to feel tight and cramped...

"This... this isn't real..."

She stood stunned by what was happening.

As the walls closed in, the sound pierced her ears.

"Ahhhhhh"

Covering her ears, she fell to the floor.

"Aahhhh"

Unable to bear the sound, Shinoy lay on the floor.

Slowly, the sound subsided,

But...

She couldn't walk.

Her legs felt paralyzed.

Somehow, Shinoy crawled into the room.

She didn't know what happened to her legs; they were paralyzed.

She could not stand up, even with support near the bed.

Shinoy lay on the floor next to the bed, "What is happening? ... None of this is real."

She started to console and reassure herself.

Suddenly, a strange silence spread in the room; not even a sound from outside could be heard.

The floor began to freeze and solidify. Shinoyya's body also became cold and started to shiver.

"Shinova..."

She heard the voice from under the bed next to where she was lying.

Fear began to surge within Shinoyya; her heart rate increased.

"Shino..."

Someone called her softly, suppressed.

She wanted to look, but fear held her back.

"Shinova..."

Tears slowly flowed from Shinoyya's eyes.

"This is all just my imagination,"

She tried to calm herself by repeating this, but she couldn't.

The coldness of the floor slowly spread to the back of her head,

And started spreading to her ears and all over her face.

Slowly, she looked under the bed.

Fear flickered in her overflowing eyes.

In the darkness, there was the same faceless figure.

It crawled, crawling closer to her.

"No... No..."

She tried to move away, but

Now her entire body felt paralyzed and unable to move.

The figure crawled and slowly touched her face...

Frozen, cold fingers.

Slowly, the figure climbed onto her and lay prone.

Shinoy felt the warmth of that body in the cold.

"Shinova..."

The figure softly called her name.

"Only you can stop him....,"

The figure whispered to her like a secret in a low voice.

"He knows you are searching for him... He will come looking for you."

Shinoy lay trembling, hearing the figure's words.

"You have realized your power... you must be ready to face him."

The voice slowly said again.

The figure slowly took its finger and placed it on Shinoyya's forehead.

Suddenly, her eyes turned white; she began to writhe, thrashing as if seeing death before her...

"Ahhhhhh"

"Shino!"

Shinoy opened her eyes with a start.

She was now on the bed in her room.

"Shino, what happened?"

Davis and Nancy were beside her.

"Shino...."

They shook her awake.

"No... No..."

Shinoy kept muttering.

"SHINOVA!"

Davis called out to her loudly. Hearing his voice, she instantly came back to her senses.

"Shino, what happened?"

"Davis... he... he is coming after me," she said, trembling.

"Who?"

"The murderer..."

They could not believe it.

"What?" they said in unison.

"Yes, that boy. He realized I am looking for him."

"Shino... what are you talking about? It's just your imagination," Nancy said, trying to prevent her from falling further into depression.

"No... It's not all imagination," Shino said firmly.

"Shino, it's your imagination, just imagination."

"After all these things have happened, are you still saying it's all my imagination, Nancy?"

Shino started to get very angry.

"I thought you were the one who understood my situation the most, but that's not the case. You still don't believe me."

"Shino..."

Nancy's voice began to falter.

"Don't...

Everything I see is true. I see many things that you cannot see. It started with a dream and now it has reached this point. And yet, you still think it's just my imagination?"

Not knowing what to say to Shino, Nancy walked out of the room.

"Hey, Nancy!"

Davis followed her.

"Nancy, wait!"

He stopped her.

"Nancy, where are you going at this hour? It'snot safe to leave now."

"Or maybe it's fine,"

"Nancy, I understand your distress, but try to think from her perspective. Shino is currently very confused and depressed. You're not understanding that."

Nancy started to cry sadly.

"I know, I understand everything, but she's heading into danger again. I can't let her go into that, Doctor!"

"But Nancy, there's no point in that."

"What?" Nancy looked at him.

"Nancy... the more you try to keep her away from it, the closer she gets to it. We can't change her. You are right, she is heading into danger, but nothing will happen to her. That person she is talking about will definitely come looking for her."

He said with certainty.

"Then, Doctor, have you seen that person?"

She looked at him suspiciously.

"Yes, his eyes, his strength, I felt it."

"What?"

"Yes, Nancy, I saw him at that building. Just as you said, I went to check there that very night. He was there that day."

Nancy stood in shock.

"Yes, I only saw his eyes shining eyes. He is powerful, Nancy."

"So, how can we save Shino now?"

"We don't have to worry about that, Nancy. She is stronger than us."

The thought that she had hurt Nancy started to weigh heavily on Shino.

Sarah's words that she was ignoring the minds that worried about her came back to her.

(Shino thought:){ Nancy would never abandon or disbelieve her. If she is trying to pull her away from this now, it is only to prevent her life from being in danger.}

Davis brought Nancy back into the room.

Nancy sat there, avoiding eye contact with Shino .

"Shino... who is this boy you are talking about?" Davis asked her.

"I don't know, Davis. I don't know who he is."

"Then how can you be so certain he is coming after you?"

"Because, I first saw him at the station. Since that day, I started seeing him in my dreams."

"Okay, but how can we be sure he is the killer?" Davis asked, firmly stating his doubt.

"Davis, the first time I saw him was with the missing girl, and the second time was with another girl. Both of them died. Just as I saw."

"But Shino. This is your dream. If all this is being done by a human, how would he know all this? That's not possible, is it?"

"I haven't said he is just an ordinary human being, Davis!"

They were all startled by Shino's reply.

"What?"

Suddenly, Shino paused...

"Shino, so what are you trying to say??!"

Shino stood silently, looking out the window.

{"Tring..."}

Someone was calling her phone.

"This is..."

It was the call from the anonymous person.

Davis took the phone and answered it.

"Shino. Shino..." The person called her name in a low voice.

"What do you want?" he asked back angrily.

"Shino, why so much anger?" the person asked with a small smile.

"Who are you?"

Shino's anger began to intensify.

"Shinova, I will tell you what I need, you just have to wait until then."

"Why did you call now?"

"It is my duty to make sure you are alive."

The person cut the call.

"Who was that?" Davis asked suspiciously.

"That is the person who is observing me without my knowledge."

(At the Station) :

A girl got off the train and hurried towards the entrance. She was walking while making a call.

"Haven't you arrived... yet? Hello... Hello..."

She was trying to connect with someone on the phone, but no one responded from the other end.

"Hello..."

She waited for a long time, but still no one responded.

She stepped outside and sat on a bench.

After a short while, a boy came towards her.

"Sorry... have I been long?"

"Oh, no."

He took the girl and walked away.

{ Awaken :1/4} :

Witnessing Shinoyya's deteriorating condition, Nancy began to sink into deep sadness.

"Nancy, are you okay now?" Davis asked her.

"Yes," she replied, looking outside without making eye contact.

"Nancy, I understand your distress. If we don't stop Shinoy, she will go further into danger."

"Doctor, I know. But I can't continue doing that anymore. As Shino says, this might be her destiny. Our job now is to support her in it."

Hearing Nancy's words, he felt a sense of respect for her.

"As a friend, I cannot push her into danger. Instead, I will always support her. I will protect Shino until my last breath."

He looked at her with a smile.

"Doctor... why are you putting in so much effort to help her?"

He didn't know what answer to give to Nancy's question.

"Doctor..."

"It's just that, I understood her situation."

"How?"

"It's... Nancy, when I was young, I also used to see things as if something similar was happening. Back then, no one believed me. The mental state I experienced when no one believed me is what I saw in Shinoy, and that's why I decided to help her."

"Hmm."

"There are too many people here who are misunderstood. Many people are sad thinking, 'If only those close to me had understood.' How many people end their lives? Amidst all this, are we, who are alive, also being selfish?"

"That's true, Doctor."

"Shino is not harming anyone. She is trying to find those who cause harm. This is all to protect those who are hurting."

Nancy felt a sense of doubt about his words.

"What?"

"Nancy, Shino is not an ordinary girl like us. There are some meanings behind her birth. Perhaps all these dreams she sees are tasks she must complete. Every time people went missing or struggled with death, she knew about it before everyone else. That means she can save them."

"Even if that's the case, how will she save them? No one here will believe what she says except us."

"That's where we need to rethink, Nancy. She can overcome this herself. Didn't I tell you that Shino is not an ordinary girl? We need to know more about her."

Davis was speaking as if he was certain of something.

Sitting alone in the room, Shinoy was deep in thought.

The sight of her mother and her mother's words.

Shinoy looked at the photo of her and her mother that was next to her.

"I haven't understood all the meaning of what Mom said. But soon, I will change as your wished."

She took out the box she had received earlier.

The pictures were still inside.

She took them out and looked at them one by one.

"Why, why must you be so cruel to them?" Anger began to rise within her.

She took out the picture of the face from the box.

Shinoy was drawn to the picture without even realizing it.

Something felt strange around her.

Silence.

"Tuk."

A drop of water fell from the tap onto the floor.

Shinoy was now in front of the mirror again.

This time, the reflection was not Sarah's.

Instead, it was of another girl.

The girl was sitting bowed down, not looking at her.

"Who are you?" Shinoy asked this time, without any fear.

She didn't answer.

"Tell me, who are you????" Shinoy asked again.

"Irine," she said her name.

"Irine... why have you come looking for me?"

Again, the girl remained silent.

"Tell me, Irine."

"Only you can help me, Shino," the girl said in a low voice.

"Me...!!!"

"Yes, you... I came looking for you before, but you didn't realize it."

The girl began to cry.

"Release me from this pain, Shino. You can do it, please..." she sobbed and cried.

Shinoy was stunned, not knowing what to say.

"Shino."

The girl slowly raised her face and looked at Shinoy.

Shinoy was shocked to see that face.

"You... y... your face..."

The girl had no face.

Blood was dripping down from where her face should have been.

"Your face," she stammered.

The girl silently pointed towards Shinoyya's hand.

Shinoy looked at her own hand with a little fear.

Her heart stopped; fear plunged her into its depths.

What Shinoy held in her hand was the girl's face.

Shinoy's tongue could not move to even scream.

"This..."

As Shinoy lifted her head to look at the girl, suddenly,

The girl came out of the mirror and tightly grasped Shinoyya's face with her hands.

"No, no, no...."

Shinoy screamed and, the moment her hands touched the girl's face,

"Aahhhhhhh!"

The girl screamed and began to burn...

Shino's hands began to glow again like a fire.

The mirror shattered into pieces in front of her...

Sitting on the chair in the room, Shinoy suddenly opened her eyes.

Blood was trickling down from her nose.

She slowly wiped the blood with her fingers and looked at it. But the blood quickly crumbled into ash.

Her hands were burning like fire again.

Unable to bear the heat, she went to the bathroom, turned on the tap, and cooled the burn.

When she looked into the mirror, Shinoy was startled. Many strands of her hair had now turned blue.

"How is this possible?"

The blue color spread through her hair.

Coming back into the room, she quickly used scissors to cut the long hair. But the hair quickly grew back to the same length.

She stood there, not knowing what was happening.

Shino ran out of the room. Nancy and Davis were standing outside.

They were shocked to see the change in Shinoy.

"Shino, what happened to you?" they asked in shock.

"Davis, Nancy... I don't know what's happening. My hair, my hands, everything about them has changed." Shino said, still in shock.

Suddenly, Shino started getting a severe headache.

"Ahh!" She knelt down on the floor.

Several things started flashing before her eyes. The boy was taking another girl away. He was dragging her roughly across the floor. Suddenly, there was the sound of a train.

Shinoy startled and opened her eyes. Blood was coming from her nose, but this time, she didn't collapse.

"Shino..." They helped her up.

"He's going to kill someone again..." Her eyes were filled with rage.

"What???" Davis asked in shock.

"Yes, he has started his hunt again. This time, I won't let him get away with it." She moved forward from the spot. Nancy quickly tried to stop her.

However, seeing the look in Shino's eyes, Nancy couldn't stop her.

"Where are you going?" Davis asked urgently.

"He is at the station right now."

"I'll come back with the police, you need to be careful." Davis left from there.

Shino ran towards the station. "This time, I won't allow you," Shino went, determined in her mind.

The two of them reached the station and searched everywhere, but there was no one.

Although Nancy was scared inside, she was determined to help her friend and checked all the washrooms there.

There was no one.

"Shino, no one is here..."

Shino looked all around.

"Shino... as you said, no one is here."

"No, I saw it, Nancy, here..." Suddenly, she thought about it again. There was something peculiar about that station.

"The yellow board."

"What?"

"Yes... there was a big yellow board there, with the train timings written on it." She was certain.

"Shino, that's not this station. That's the North Station, the old station, where that board is... but!"

Shinoy looked at her suspiciously. "But... what?"

"But... that's an old station. No trains run there anymore."

Shino seemed to understand something. She headed straight for the North Station.

Shino was very tense. Her demeanor had completely changed.

The two of them reached the station. The station on the North Side was a very old one.

"Are they here?"

"Yes."

Shino entered the station without thinking. Nancy went to another side.

She looked in many areas but couldn't see anyone.

"I can do this. I won't lose this time." Reassuring herself, she walked forward.

Platform 1 was deserted.

Suddenly, her body started to get cold. She understood that there was a spirit here.

Suddenly, all the lights in the area went off. Shino stood in the darkness, unable to see.

Suddenly, a light appeared at the end of the platform. She walked towards it. It wasn't a light; it was Irine, the faceless girl.

"Irine," Shino called her.

The girl pointed her hand in a direction. Shino looked in that direction.

"Go... go and save them," the girl whispered in her ear.

Suddenly, all the lights in that place turned on.

At the same time, Nancy was searching another section to see if anyone was there.

She walked and reached the station's bathroom section.

The door was slightly ajar. Assuming someone was inside, she went in, but not before taking an iron rod in her hand.

She went inside and opened each door, but there was no one.

Suddenly!!!

"Nancy!!!" A small sound, as if someone was standing behind her.

"Hah!!!!!!" Nancy froze for a moment.

She started to sweat profusely. Overall, Nancy was terrified and trembling.

"Nancy!!!" She heard the voice again.

She heard the footsteps of someone walking closer.

"Miss Nancy Grace... you are so beautiful..." the voice said, flirting in a terrifying way.

Nancy couldn't even scream.

"Your scent, it's seeking me out, Nancy... it's making me stubborn that I must have you."

A hand touched her shoulder. Gathering all her courage, Nancy turned around and struck with the rod in her hand.

"That will never happen, you son of a bitch!!"

After hitting, she looked, and there was no one.

Suddenly, it sounded like many people were laughing inside the bathroom.

Nancy ran out of there, and in the process, she noticed it.

She had entered the Men's Bathroom.

"God!!! Was this where I walked into? Get lost, you lustful demons!"

She ran for her life, searching for Shino.

Shino went forward on the path Irine had shown her. She walked straight into an old office building.

There was no one around...

"Ahh... Ahh..." Someone was screaming.

When she went towards the sound, she saw a girl had been brutally beaten. She was close to death.

"Hey," Shino gently raised the girl.

"Who did this..."

The girl's condition was very poor.

"Ah... he..." Before she could finish, the girl passed out.

"Hey..." Shino tried to wake her.

Suddenly, she heard someone running from the other side.

She laid the girl down and went after the person who was running.

He was running fast, trying to escape.

"You won't escape this time!!"

As Shino reached out her hand to grab him, something suddenly bound him, and he stopped.

Shinoy was startled for a moment. "What?"

Yes, some power was starting to emerge from within her. The person moved according to how Shino moved her hand.

He broke free from her control and suddenly threw a nearby chair at her.

The chair hit her, and she fell.

He came forward with another iron rod to hit her.

Shino defended herself as best as she could.

But he tied a rope around Shino's neck.

"Are you going to die so soon, Shino?"

Shino was startled by the voice. It was the same voice she had heard at the hospital that day.

"Are we meant to meet like this, Shino?" he started laughing to himself.

As he tightened the rope, Shino was getting closer to death.

"Ahh!" Blood started coming from her mouth.

"Shh shh, why are you in so much pain, Shino?"

He tightened the rope more... Shinoyya's heart felt like it was stopping. Her eyes slowly closed.

"Shinova..."

Sarah was standing in front of her now.

"Shino... fight! Show him what your power is. It is not your destiny to collapse and die here, Shino. Your death should not be determined here... You have many more things to accomplish on this Earth. Don't falter, Shino..."

Sarah placed her hands on Shinoyya's forehead.

In the next moment, Shino's body, which was lying on the ground as if dead, rose into the air.

Her body completely changed. The blue color in her hair intensified. The person watched her, not knowing what was happening.

Shino opened her eyes. Her irises turned a deep blue color. The rope tied around her slowly melted and fell away.

As Shino reached out her hand towards him, he was lifted into the air.

As she clenched her fist, he began to writhe as if someone was grabbing his neck.

"Ahhhhhhh!" he screamed.

She tightened her grip again.

"You are not strong enough to decide my death," she said.

Red marks began to appear on his neck.

"You don't need to suffer the pain I suffered."

She put more force into her hands again.

His body began to turn like ash... Within moments, he fell from her hand to the ground as dust.

As he died, Shino returned to her normal state.

She remembered everything that happened, but she wasn't sure if it was all real.

"Shino..." Nancy ran to her side.

"Shino... are you okay?" She hugged Shino.

"I... am... fine," Shino checked her body; there were no marks from the assault.

"That girl..."

"I saw her... she's not dead."

A little later, as informed by Nancy, Davis arrived with the police and a medical team.

The police examined the area. The girl was taken to the hospital.

"Shinova," Davis called her gently.

"Where is the boy? Was it the boy you saw who attacked her?"

"No."

"Then?"

"This isn't the boy I was seeing; he is different from this one. But!" She paused and looked at Davis.

"But???"

"This one also knows about me."

"How?" Davis asked in astonishment.

"He said my name."

"What happened to him?" Nancy asked in shock.

Shino said nothing, just looked at her hand. Davis understood what must have happened.

He placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Shino, don't worry about anything anymore. You came here to save that girl. You did it, that's all that happened." He said, looking into her eyes.

"But, what will we tell the police then?" Nancy asked suspiciously.

"Nancy, don't stress about anything. I've dealt with that. You two go back to the room."

Nancy took Shino and walked out.

"Shinova," Davis came up to her.

"You have started fulfilling your duties. Now go forward without fear. We will always be with you, anytime. And whatever happened to that boy, you don't need to think about it anymore. What you saw is the truth, just that."

He said this to Shino.

She felt that Davis knew something, and she looked at him for a moment.

"Miss Shinova, let's go. This place isn't safe anymore."

Nancy, scared by what she had experienced, took her and left the area...
