Chapter 7 - 51 to 59

Umbrella Corporation meeting room.

Nathan Hawke, Wesker, Andre, The Invisible Man, Electro, Zhan Ji Lingma, and Kroitz, a total of seven people, were discussing the candidates for this crossing.

"I can't leave; my schedule is packed recently," The Invisible Man said first.

Kroitz followed closely: "Although I also really want to experience other Worlds, there's too much work on genetic engineering, so I won't go."

"I'm not going either," Andre said, then continued, "I've been cultivating my Psychokinesis all this time, and I need to continue cultivating until I feel I've made progress."

Everyone expressed understanding. Ever since that day, after defeating Supergiant, who was already injured, Andre, realizing his own weakness, immediately began to cultivate desperately, losing all interest in being Superheroes and going to parties.

As for Supergiant, she was currently in the Umbrella Corporation's underground Laboratory, becoming the subject of research.

"Is anyone else not going?" Nathan Hawke asked, his gaze sweeping around.

Seeing no response, Nathan Hawke tapped the table with his right index finger and decided, "Then the candidates this time will be the four of us: myself, Wesker, Electro, and Zhan Ji Lingma."

"Say your goodbyes; we'll meet at the usual place in half an hour."

Half an hour later... Wesker and Electro were wearing their own battle suits, while Zhan Ji Lingma was wearing his own special attire and carrying a briefcase.

Nathan Hawke nodded, "If you're ready, we'll set off."

The hexagram shone, and a dazzling light dispersed... In the night, the four appeared in a desert. The night wind blew, revealing a hint of dryness.

Night fell, and the desert was silent, with only the wind and sand howling in the night wind, raising sheets of yellow sand.

Nathan Hawke, Wesker, Electro, and Zhan Ji Lingma stood in the center of the desert, surrounded by a desolate landscape. The ground was exposed yellow sand and hard rocks, and the sky was adorned with bright stars and a clear moon.

"Where is this?" Electro asked curiously, looking around with bright eyes.

"Cyberpunk 2077," Nathan Hawke said.

"Cyberpunk 2077? What is that? I know Cyberpunk, or is it a World similar to the Blade Runner movie?" Zhan Ji Lingma retorted.

"Something like that," Nathan Hawke said, while looking at the information that was completely invisible to the others.

"Crossing World: Cyberpunk 2077"

"Duration: 7 days"

"Number of new people who can be brought: 1 (voluntary)"

Wesker gazed at the distant horizon, silent, quietly on guard.

Suddenly, Wesker's ears twitched, "A group of guys on motorcycles are heading our way."

Nathan Hawke and his group faced the menacing Scavengers, their faces still indifferent, showing no panic. Wesker stood at the very front, blocking the other three, his eyes fixed on the Scavenger leader.

"Yo, yo, yo, are these young lads heading to Night City, hoping to make a name for themselves? Did you get lost or intentionally trespass on our territory?" The Scavenger leader laughed mockingly, his eyes gleaming with greed.

Wesker didn't answer, merely looking at them calmly.

"What are you looking at? Haven't you seen such handsome guys? Hahaha!" The Scavenger subordinates began to mock Wesker.

Suddenly, a subordinate came to the leader and pointed at Nathan Hawke and his group, saying, "Boss, they don't have cyberware; they are complete people."

The Scavenger leader's eyes immediately lit up. He carefully scrutinized the four people opposite him. So clean! The organs of such people must be the most favorite treasures of the "big shots" because they haven't been contaminated.

The Scavenger leader, full of malevolence, walked up to Nathan and said with a sinister smile, "Wow, wow, what do we have here? A bunch of guys who don't know Death. Looks like we've got a big client tonight."

The other Scavengers also joined in the mockery, their fierce eyes fixed on Nathan and his group.

"You have One Strike minute left. Put down your weapons, take off your clothes, and then kneel and surrender honestly, otherwise..." The Scavenger leader said, making a throat-slitting gesture with his hand, while also thrusting his hips.

Nathan Hawke's face showed no emotion. He looked at the leader and said coldly, "You'd better leave now, or you'll bear the consequences."

"Hmph, I'd like to see what you can do," the leader sneered.

Just as the Scavengers were about to act, Electro suddenly flashed out, moving so fast that he was almost impossible to catch. In the blink of an eye, he had appeared in front of the leader, his right hand slashing like lightning, instantly piercing the opponent's throat.

The other Scavengers stared at this scene in astonishment, not expecting the opponents to be so powerful.

Wesker transformed into a Shadow, instantly appearing among the Scavengers. His hands were like steel claws, swiftly grabbing a Scavenger's throat, blood splattering. Another Scavenger tried to counterattack, but Wesker's speed was too fast for him to react; his head was already sliced off by Wesker's sharp claws.

The Scavengers were instantly terrified. They finally understood that these people were not enemies they could deal with. But anger and fear made them decide not to retreat, so they drew their weapons, attempting to fight Wesker.

However, every swing of Wesker's was accompanied by spurting blood. Wesker's attacks were almost without hesitation; his eyes held only indifference and ruthlessness. He was like a merciless reaper, harvesting the Scavengers One Strike by One Strike.

"Mon... Monster!" some Scavengers shouted, while others began taking drugs to enhance their combat power.

Wesker showed no fear. He looked indifferently at the Scavengers before him, as if looking at a group of ants. His figure weaved among the Scavengers, each swing accompanied by the Death of a Scavenger. He used his strength and combat skills to effortlessly kill the ants.

The Scavengers constantly tried to counterattack, but their weapons seemed to have no effect on Wesker. Wesker's body was incredibly strong; he could easily withstand almost all attacks. Every One Strike of his attacks was fatal, and the Scavengers were routed by him.

"He... they aren't equipped with Stun-Wistan (Stun Device), ah!" One Scavenger, who spoke half a sentence before collapsing, fell with unwillingly open eyes.

Electro also displayed his astonishing strength in the battle. Carrying electricity, his speed was beyond the imagination of the Scavengers. The Scavengers couldn't even clearly see his figure. As electric arcs wrapped around Electro's right hand, the Scavengers could only watch helplessly as their companions fell One Strike by One Strike.

The battle progressed extremely swiftly. In just a few minutes, the Scavengers were completely annihilated. Wesker's face was cold and ruthless, and Electro also reined in his previous killing, shaking his hand and becoming indifferent.

"Let's go, we continue forward," Nathan Hawke said lightly. Based on the deceased Scavengers' instruments underfoot, they learned the way to Night City.

After walking for about 1 hour, they finally reached the outskirts of Night City.

In a dark, narrow alley in the northern industrial district of Night City, Nathan Hawke and his three companions entered the territory of the Vortex Gang. The characteristics of the Vortex Gang were visible everywhere; mysterious black metal tattoos were carved on the walls, and the light of cybernetic eyes occasionally flashed under the streetlights, making the entire area appear unusually eerie.

A group of Vortex Gang members appeared at the alley entrance, their gazes cold and fanatical, like predatory Beasts. They immediately recognized Nathan Hawke and his group and began to mockingly surround them.

"Hey, look what we have here, a bunch of little lambs without cyberware, daring to come to our Vortex Gang territory!"

"Did you get lost? The Vortex Gang in Night City isn't a place for rookies like you."

"Get out of here, don't make a fool of yourselves!"

The Vortex Gang members surrounded Nathan Hawke and his group. Their cybernetic modifications gleamed with an eerie light, appearing extremely arrogant and terrifying.

"Your Vortex Gang's reputation truly precedes you. I heard you have a soft spot for cyber technology and have even contracted cyberpsychosis?" Nathan Hawke slowly began, his tone relaxed, yet full of mockery.

"You brat, you're really tired of living, daring to say such things in front of us!" A Vortex Gang member shouted, pointing at Nathan Hawke.

"Tired of living? Heh, perhaps you are tired of living," Zhan Ji Lingma suddenly interjected, his voice calm and mocking, making the surrounding atmosphere even more tense.

"You should thank us properly, after all, we're swaggering through your territory; you should learn from us." Electro joined in Zhan Ji Lingma's teasing, his voice echoing in the darkness, sending shivers down one's spine.

Although Wesker didn't speak, his indifferent eyes already conveyed his disdain for these people.

The Vortex Gang members were enraged by their attitude. They unleashed frenzied energy from their cybernetic implants, preparing to attack Nathan Hawke and his group.

However, just as they were gathering their forces to act, Nathan Hawke suddenly raised his hand to stop them.

"Don't be in such a hurry to act; we're just passing through. Your territory holds no interest for us," Nathan Hawke said lightly, without a hint of fear in his tone.

These words, however, stunned the Vortex Gang members. They didn't expect these people not to fight, but instead to leave.

"What, scared?" A Vortex Gang member sneered.

"Why are you even talking to this idiot in front of us? Let them taste my newly installed big-dick cyberware," a Vortex Gang member said excitedly.

Nathan Hawke smiled slightly, a hint of disdain in his eyes: "Scared? For us, you are merely a group of pathetic weaklings."

His words provoked the members of the Vortex Gang, making them even more furious.

But just as they were about to launch an attack, Zhan Ji Lingma suddenly let out a light chuckle.

"You guys are truly naive, aren't you? Do you really think you can deal with us? With just your cybernetic modifications?" Zhan Ji Lingma's voice carried a hint of mockery as he casually watched the Vortex Gang members, as if looking at a group of pathetic Jokers.

The Vortex Gang members were infuriated to the extreme by their attitude.

They angrily lunged at Nathan Hawke and his group, but they didn't expect them to show no reaction at all.

"Hmph, what makes you think you're qualified to speak to us?" A Vortex Gang leader sneered as he stepped forward.

"Here, only strength matters.

You four don't look like much.

I don't know where you came from, but since you dared to trespass on our territory, you'll have to pay the price!"

Nathan Hawke smiled; he had no intention of making a move, but his gaze revealed an unassailable aura.

Wesker and Electro maintained indifferent expressions, while Zhan Ji Lingma watched the gathering Vortex Gang members from the side, a playful glint in his eyes.

"Price? That depends on whether you have the ability to make us pay it," Wesker said coldly, his voice devoid of any emotional fluctuation.

"Look at them; they really think they're some big shots."

"Since they're courting Death, then we'll grant it to them!"

The Vortex Gang members gradually began to lose their minds, preparing to surround the four and subject them to sadistic torture and cruel treatment.

However, Zhan Ji Lingma chuckled playfully at this moment, confidently looking at the assembling Vortex Gang members around him, as if they were a group of pathetic ants.

The Vortex Gang members gradually surrounded the four, unaware that they had already walked into a trap of Death.

Facing Nathan Hawke and the other three, their demise was inevitable.

Wesker's figure transformed into a Shadow, his movements so fast they were almost impossible to track.

A sharp blade appeared in his hand, and his cold eyes fixated on the Vortex Gang members, utterly fearless and without a hint of pity.

Although the Vortex Gang members had activated their cybernetic enhancements, their movements still appeared clumsy and slow compared to Wesker.

They had lost their minds, becoming irritable and frantic, intent only on riddling these seemingly ordinary people with holes.

One member roared, swinging his cybernetically enhanced fist, attempting to defeat Wesker.

However, Wesker's reaction speed was incredibly fast; he easily dodged the opponent's attack and, in an instant, plunged his sharp blade into the opponent's heart.

Blood splattered, and the Vortex Gang member fell to the ground, dead.

Wesker didn't even glance at him, turning to face the next enemy.

Then, the moment they raised their weapons, Wesker had already appeared like lightning in front of one of them.

His blade sliced through the air, like a black bolt of lightning, instantly piercing through that person's chest.

Blood gushed out, and the Vortex Gang member didn't even let out a scream before collapsing to the ground.

But Wesker didn't stop; his movements were like a fierce storm, continuously assassinating the Vortex Gang members.

One after another, Vortex Gang members fell; their bodies were pierced, severed, and torn, a bloody spectacle.

Wesker's eyes remained cold, devoid of any emotional fluctuation; he was like a merciless killing machine.

Bullets swarmed towards him, and Wesker swung his blade down, producing crackling sounds.

Some of the Vortex Gang members began to panic; their offensive was easily crushed by Wesker, and even their strongest cybernetic bodies couldn't withstand Wesker's fierce assault.

They realized that this seemingly ordinary person was, in fact, an extremely terrifying enemy.

But it was already too late.

Wesker's attacks never stopped; his blade gleamed in the darkness, each swing bringing a streak of blood.

The Vortex Gang members were like fragile puppets before him, utterly powerless to resist.

Electro stepped forward, his body suddenly blurring, his speed so fast it was hard to grasp.

He flashed like a bolt of Electrical Energy, instantly appearing among the Vortex Gang members.

Screams of agony rang out as Vortex Gang members fell one after another.

Electro's attacks were like lightning and thunder; he used Electrical Energy to strike down his enemies, and those Vortex Gang members entangled by the Electrical Energy let out heart-wrenching howls of pain.

His attacks were merciless and ruthless.

Electrical Energy, under his control, formed sharp blades, severing the limbs of his enemies one by one.

His eyes were cold and indifferent, as if he were slaughtering a group of pathetic ants.

The Vortex Gang members fell into chaos and fear; their defenses collapsed, and they were helpless against Electro's attacks.

Electro showed no sign of stopping; his attacks continued.

The Vortex Gang members became targets of his merciless slaughter; they suffered the torment of Electrical Energy, like a nightmare from hell.

Before Electro, the Vortex Gang members were destined to meet their doom.

His cold-blooded slaughter was like a merciless storm, engulfing the entire area.

Under his hands, the Vortex Gang members became a pile of helpless corpses; their lives extinguished like candlelight.

Electro looked at the wreckage beneath his feet, his expression still cold.

To him, this was just an insignificant battle; the Vortex Gang members were merely cannon fodder for his slaughter.

In this unfamiliar World, he had no emotions, only cold killing intent.

Meanwhile, the other two, taking a break from the action, were conversing.

"Recently, Electro told me he developed a new move called 'Thor's Soul,'" Zhan Ji Lingma said, and just as he was about to mention the data, Nathan Hawke interrupted, "Are there any side effects?"

"Yes," Zhan Ji Lingma looked at Electro's cold, merciless expression as he slaughtered, and told Nathan Hawke, "He told me that after using Thor's Soul, he felt his inner self become unusually calm, with extremely small emotional fluctuations.

At the same time, his seven emotions and six desires were suppressed to the point of almost non-existence, as if he had transformed into a mecha (mechanical human), cold and emotionless."

Nathan Hawke frowned; he knew that such side effects could cause Electro to lose his humanity and become a cold, emotionless combat mecha (mechanical human).

Although increasing combat power was necessary in the World of Superheroes, losing emotions and humanity was also a huge price.

"Can he control it?" Nathan Hawke asked.

Zhan Ji Lingma shrugged, "He said he's trying to control it, but for now, he can't fully master the after-effects of this move's power."

"Hmm, help him out more when we get back," Nathan Hawke said seriously to Zhan Ji Lingma.

Zhan Ji Lingma nodded in response.

Boom! A violent sound rang out.

Nathan Hawke and Zhan Ji Lingma looked in that direction.

The Vortex Gang leader suffered a cyberpsychosis breakdown, burning his cyberware, and instantly fell into a state of madness.

His eyes were filled with mad, crimson light, as if he had lost his reason and humanity.

His cyberware began to smoke, emitting terrifying high temperatures, seemingly intent on burning himself to ashes.

"Hahahaha! You are all my toys!" The leader laughed wildly, his voice full of savagery and pleasure.

Wesker looked coldly at the mad leader before him; he showed no sign of wavering, maintaining his calm and composure.

His gaze revealed a hint of determination, as if he had already anticipated the leader's 瘋狂 behavior.

The leader's body rapidly lunged at Wesker, his fiery fists striking fiercely at Wesker.

Wesker dodged like a ghost, evading the leader's attacks one after another.

His movements were exceptionally agile, and he managed to avoid every attack almost unscathed.

"You dodge well!" The leader laughed maniacally, his burning cyberware releasing even more powerful Fire, and his attacks became more ferocious and frantic.

Wesker remained cold and emotionless; he was not swayed by the leader's madness.

He suddenly leaped, using his agile movements to get behind the leader, then delivered a fierce whip kick.

The leader flew out but didn't fall; instead, he attacked Wesker even more frantically.

His body burned even more intensely, as if he wanted to unleash his power to its limit.

"Power, I feel the power."

The leader, transformed into Pyro, unleashed a full-strength punch, sending a scorching tornado towards Wesker.

Wesker dodged with a flip, then looked at the leader, who had burned to ashes.

Electro appeared beside Wesker, "More and more people are noticing this area; the Head ordered us to leave quickly."

Wesker nodded and left the battlefield without a backward glance.

Electro followed closely, and the four quickly left the northern industrial zone.

As the four passed through Watson District, they noticed many Vortex Gang members driving cars towards the industrial zone, seemingly preparing for reinforcements.

Everyone exchanged thoughts, and Wesker shared his speculation, "They probably realized the enemy was strong, which is why they gathered so many members for support."

"That's perfect; we can escape this area even more easily," Zhan Ji Lingma said with a smile, who was using a briefcase to crack a Vortex Gang member's credit card, stealing information for their own use.

Then the three looked at Nathan Hawke.

"How is it? Do you have a plan?" Zhan Ji Lingma saw that Nathan Hawke already had a plan.

"Yes, I have a plan, but how's the information theft coming along?" Nathan Hawke asked.

Zhan Ji Lingma gave an OK gesture and then said with some surprise, "It's done, but what I didn't expect was that this World actually uses Euros.

I'm currently in the process of legalizing it; otherwise, if we used their credit cards, we would be precisely tracked by the Vortex Gang.

And what also surprised me was how fast the wireless network is here."

Nathan Hawke nodded slightly upon hearing Zhan Ji Lingma's words, "Once Ryoma is finished, we'll go to a place where we can rest, and then we'll discuss the details."

The Kabuki district in the dead of night appeared particularly eerie, with the dim yellow neon lights casting strange shadows in the narrow alleys. There weren't many people on the streets, only a few suspicious figures lurking in the darkness.

Nathan Hawke and his group moved silently through the narrow alleys, cautiously observing their surroundings. This was the poorest and most dangerous area of Night City, where many criminals and lawbreakers operated. However, for Nathan Hawke and his group, such an environment was not unfamiliar; they were already accustomed to dangerous places.

In the alleys of the Kabuki district, faint music and hushed conversations could be heard, suggesting that someone was conducting a transaction somewhere. Under the neon lights, various dazzling goods were displayed in shops, and some vendors called out to passersby.

Wesker's eyes remained alert. He suddenly stopped, signaling the others to halt.

"Someone is following us," Wesker whispered.

Suddenly, a figure darted out from the shadows and attacked with a knife. Wesker reacted quickly, easily evading the attack, then kicked the assailant.

The attacker was a young man dressed in tattered clothes, his eyes fanatic and fierce. A wild desire gleamed in his gaze.

"Hand over your money!" the man shouted, then lunged at them again.

Wesker no longer held back. His fist swiftly struck the man's cheek, sending him flying. But the man did not retreat, immediately scrambling to his feet, eyes bloodshot, and attacked them again. During the fight, Wesker noticed that the man's body was covered in cybernetic implants, some of which even looked a bit crudely made.

Bang!

The man was knocked unconscious by Wesker.

"I was originally thinking of finding a place for us to get some good rest, but given the current situation, we'll just spend the night in a derelict house in the Kabuki district," Nathan Hawke snapped his fingers.

"I want to buy some things to research," Ryoma Sengoku said.

"Alright."

After buying some bizarre items, the four found a relatively clean small house. As for the original owner, their whereabouts were unknown.

Meeting.

Nathan Hawke said, "This time we have one week, and the only thing we need to do is acquire as much technology from this world as possible."

"The technology in this city can be broadly divided into four categories: smart cities, artificial intelligence, bioengineering, and virtual reality. And in Night City, there are only two corporations that are our targets. The first is: Militech. The second is: Arasaka Corporation. Our target is Militech."

"They have the technology we need, and the location is Militech's branch office in the city center."

"First, we need intelligence. Coincidentally, our current location is the Kabuki district. Electroman and I will go to Lizzie's Bar, run by the Mox gang."

Ryoma Sengoku didn't go because he needed to research gadgets, while Nathan Hawke allowed Wesker to act freely.

In the dead of night in the Kabuki district, Lizzie's Bar glowed with dim yellow neon lights, like a brilliant star shining in the darkness. This was Mox territory, where various intriguing characters gathered, stimulating the nerves of Night City.

Nathan Hawke and Electroman walked one after another through the narrow alleys. The street crowd was diverse, with no shortage of people using drugs. Some revealing outfits were even jaw-dropping, but this was commonplace in Night City.

"This place is truly insane," Nathan Hawke muttered to himself.

Electroman nodded; he was no stranger to such scenes. In this chaotic city, all sorts of intriguing things filled every corner, and what they needed now was to gather intelligence, to find the clues they needed from this chaos.

Walking down the street, a scantily clad Mox prostitute approached them, her eyes seductive and alluring.

"Handsome, want to have some fun?" She looked at Nathan Hawke with flirtatious eyes, a tempting smile on her lips.

Nathan Hawke gave her a cold glance, ignoring her. He knew such prostitutes often acted as intelligence informants for the Mox, but they didn't need to be distracted by these tricks.

"We're just here to find some information," Electroman said indifferently.

The prostitute wasn't discouraged. She turned to Electroman, her eyes flashing seductively: "Handsome, don't you want to have some fun too? I have a lot of interesting toys, you know."

Electroman ignored her and continued forward.

They arrived at the entrance of Lizzie's Bar. Nathan Hawke gently pushed open the bar door, and a strong scent of tobacco and alcohol wafted out.

The bar's interior was dim and lively, with all sorts of people gathered there. Their identities and purposes couldn't be discerned from their appearance, but Nathan Hawke knew that countless secrets were hidden behind every person.

They found a secluded corner and sat down, beginning to observe their surroundings. In this bar, there were many Mox members, as well as some suspicious characters.

Electroman's eyes scanned every corner, his electrical energy ready to respond to any potential threat. Nathan Hawke carefully observed everyone, trying to find clues from their words and actions.

A scantily clad woman walked up to them, a hint of cunning in her eyes.

"Welcome to Lizzie's Bar, handsome men." Her voice was alluring and provocative. "Is this your first time? I can tell you about our bar's specialties."

"We're just here to find some intelligence," Nathan Hawke said bluntly.

The woman smiled slightly, gently running her fingers through her long hair: "Intelligence? That's not something so easily obtained. However, if you're willing to stay and play with me for a while, perhaps I can consider helping you."

Nathan Hawke looked at her coldly. He knew this was a common tactic they used to get information from visitors. But they had no intention of getting deeply involved.

"We're only interested in Militech," Electroman said calmly.

A flicker of surprise crossed the woman's eyes, but she quickly recovered her smile: "Militech! You're interested in that kind of thing?"

"We're just curious," Nathan Hawke replied indifferently.

The woman looked at them, seemingly weighing something. Finally, she nodded: "Alright, since you're interested, I can give you some information. However, this will come at a price."

"What do you want?" Electroman asked.

The woman smiled alluringly: "Play with me for a while, make me happy, and I'll tell you."

Nathan Hawke looked at her coldly. He knew this was a waste of time. But Nathan Hawke had no intention of playing with her.

Inside a private room at Lizzie's Bar, dim lights illuminated the entire space. The woman sat elegantly on the sofa, her seductive eyes fixed on Nathan Hawke and Electroman, with a hint of ambiguity in her gaze.

"Susie Q will be here to see you very soon." Her voice was low and alluring. "But before she arrives, you can play with me for a while."

"We're just here to get intelligence," Electroman emphasized again.

The woman raised the corner of her mouth, her smile charming: "Of course you can get intelligence, but to get more, you'll have to pay a price."

Her words were full of innuendo, but Nathan Hawke and Electroman exchanged cold glances; they understood her meaning. In this chaotic city, weighing pros and cons was something that happened every moment. However, for two people with extraordinary powers, this was undoubtedly as simple as Kun Kun playing basketball.

Time passed quietly. The door to Lizzie's Bar's private room slowly opened, and a seductive woman walked in. She was dressed in a dark red, tight-fitting outfit, not at all concealing her impressive curves. Her gaze fixed on Nathan Hawke and Electroman, carrying a mysterious smile.

"You're the ones who came to talk to me about intelligence?" Her voice was melodious and magnetic.

"Yes," Nathan Hawke replied concisely.

Susie Q smiled as she sat down, her gaze sweeping over the two: "I heard you're interested in Militech. What for, I wonder?"

"We're just curious," Electroman replied.

Susie Q scoffed: "Curiosity isn't a good thing, especially in Night City."

No sooner had she spoken than the private room door suddenly closed, and the sound of it being locked came from outside.

But Nathan Hawke and Electroman remained expressionless.

Susie Q smiled slightly; she seemed to have anticipated their indifferent attitude. "In that case, I'll just tell you the intelligence directly."

"You must be from the industrial district, right? The word on the street is going crazy. It's said that some fierce tiger from out of town smashed up a Maelstrom gang territory, and the Maelstrom are now offering a huge bounty."

"Max," Nathan Hawke commanded.

Zzzzt zzzzt... Electroman stood up, unleashed his electrical energy, and instantly a beam of electricity blasted open the tightly locked room door.

Susie Q and the other women were all greatly alarmed, watching in astonishment as Electroman blasted the room door open. They hadn't expected these two seemingly indifferent strangers to possess such powerful strength.

Nathan Hawke looked at Susie Q coldly and said, "We're not interested in your affairs; we only care about Militech intelligence."

Susie Q immediately understood what he meant, and she couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. But she also knew that facing these two powerful opponents, now was not the time to fight them.

"Indeed, eliminating a group of Maelstrom members should come with such power; I simply underestimated it. In that case, esteemed guests, let's have a good talk now." Susie Q began to change her attitude after realizing or testing that the other party's power was far superior to her own.

Susie Q then led the two to her office.

"Would you like anything to drink?"

"No, thank you," Nathan Hawke replied.

In Suzie Q's office, Nathan Hawke and Electro sat on the sofa, facing Suzie Q, who still exuded a seductive aura, but her eyes now held a mix of respect and wariness.

"The military tech building in the city center is heavily guarded," Suzie Q began. "It has advanced security systems, including high-level electronic locks, omnidirectional surveillance, intelligent alert robots, and even officers from the Psycho Squad patrol there."

"The Psycho Squad?" Electro asked curiously.

"Yes, the Psycho Squad is the elite special operations unit of the NCPD, only deployed in particularly severe cases. They specialize in eliminating cyberpsychos," Suzie Q explained. "They are well-equipped with the most advanced technology and are the most terrifying presence in the entire police department."

"So how do we get into the military tech building?" Nathan Hawke asked.

"If you're entering the military tech building, it's best to avoid the Psycho Squad's patrols," Suzie Q said with a smile. "Their patrol routes are fixed, so as long as you can evade them, you should be able to get in successfully."

"Are there any other security measures?" Electro pressed.

Suzie Q nodded: "Of course, the military tech building has a strict electronic surveillance system; you'd best be able to crack it. Additionally, there might be security guards patrolling inside the building, so you need to be careful."

Nathan Hawke thought for a moment, then asked, "Do you have a floor plan or any other detailed information about the military tech building in the city center?"

Suzie Q glanced at Nathan Hawke, then smiled and handed him a data shard: "This is some information my subordinates collected. While it's not a complete floor plan, it should be enough to help you."

Nathan Hawke took the data shard and nodded his thanks.

"But you need to be careful," Suzie Q's gaze grew serious. "The military tech building in the city center is not a place to be trifled with. I suggest you find some helpers or prepare some special equipment."

"Thank you for the reminder," Nathan Hawke said. "We'll be careful."

Suzie Q nodded, then smiled and said, "Alright, you've got the intel. Can you do me a favor?"

"What is it?" Electro asked.

"Our Mox gang has also run into some trouble recently. A group of cyberpsychos is causing chaos in our territory, bringing us a lot of problems. If you can help us solve this, I'll give you some extra intel," Suzie Q said.

Nathan Hawke and Electro exchanged glances, then nodded.

"Good, then we're allies," Suzie Q revealed a satisfied smile.

Nathan Hawke and Electro were silent for a moment, then nodded, indicating their willingness to help Suzie Q resolve the cyberpsycho problem.

"Thank you very much for your help," Suzie Q said with a smile. "I'll have my people provide you with the relevant information."

Nathan Hawke and Electro weren't particularly interested in the Mox gang; they just wanted to get information about the military tech building as soon as possible. However, in this strange and dangerous city, allies were always more valuable than enemies.

Suzie Q turned and gave some instructions to a female member outside the door. Soon, a young female member entered with a tray laden with various delicious snacks.

"Please enjoy yourselves," Suzie Q invited.

Nathan Hawke and Electro didn't stand on ceremony and began to sample the delicacies. Although they didn't need food to sustain life, trying these various delicious foods was a pleasure for them.

"So, about the intel on the city center's military tech building..." Nathan Hawke asked.

Suzie Q pondered for a moment, then began to explain in detail. She told them about the building's internal structure and security systems, provided diagrams of some key areas, and pointed out potential security vulnerabilities.

"On one side of the building, there's an abandoned aircraft dock. The security there is relatively weaker, which could be your entry point," Suzie Q said, pointing to the location on the diagram. "However, there are also some reconnaissance robots patrolling there, so you'd best evade them."

"We'll be careful," Electro nodded.

"Also, there are many electronic locks inside the building, so you'd best find a professional hacker to crack them," Suzie Q added. "However, those electronic locks might be connected to the main server, and the cracking process could trigger an alarm."

Nathan Hawke smiled slightly: "We'll handle it."

"Oh, and most importantly, on the top floor of the building, there's a high-level conference room where a lot of sensitive information and technological data are stored," Suzie Q said mysteriously. "The security there is extremely tight; ordinary people cannot enter."

"We can enter," Electro said confidently.

Suzie Q looked at these two confident and powerful individuals, believing they absolutely had the ability to achieve this.

"Well, one last thing. My information is already a year old, and I, a small-time person, have no idea about the actual situation," Suzie Q smiled slightly, only able to show an apologetic expression.

"No problem," Nathan Hawke nodded in understanding.

"Alright, I've told you the information," Suzie Q said. "I'll have my people take you to find clues about those cyberpsychos."

Nathan Hawke and Electro stood up to bid farewell and left Suzie Q's office. Suzie Q sent two female members to accompany them, leading them to the Mox gang's territory to search for traces of the cyberpsychos.

And just after Nathan Hawke and Electro left.

Suzie Q looked at the female member who had initially greeted Nathan Hawke and said sternly: "Later, have someone monitor the target location to see if these two have the strength to deal with that group of cyberpsychos. If they run away, help me arrange a time; I need to meet with Dexter DeShawn. But if they solve it easily, then act as if this matter never existed."

"Yes."

Late at night in Kabuki, the dark alleys were filled with the strong scent of tobacco and alcohol. Several scantily clad female members of the Mox gang cast flirtatious glances at Nathan Hawke and Electro, trying to attract their attention.

"We should first focus on finding those cyberpsychos," Nathan Hawke said to Electro.

Electro nodded; they had no intention of wasting time with these female members. They continued deeper into Kabuki's alleys, searching for clues.

As time passed, the two Mox gang members led them to a location. Strange sounds and shadows emanated from an abandoned building.

"Sirs, this is the place. The cyberpsychos are inside," one Mox gang member said.

"Understood," Nathan Hawke said, and at the same time, Electro walked straight in.

Inside the abandoned building, a group of cyberpsychos saw Electro coldly walk in. They let out insane roars and lunged at this seemingly suicidal guy. Their bodies were equipped with various strange cyberware components, such as mechanized arms, spring-loaded implants, flamethrowers, and sharp blades, making their combat power extremely terrifying.

"What a bunch of overconfident fools," Electro sneered, placing his hands in front of him, electricity coiling around, exuding a chilling aura.

A cyberpsycho wielding a sharp blade charged forward, attempting to slash at Electro. Electro sidestepped, evading the attack, then instantly appeared behind the psycho. A beam of electric energy directly pierced his chest, instantly striking him down.

The other cyberpsychos, seeing this, grew even more furious and frenzied, attacking Electro en masse. One psycho rushed forward, his leg implants erupting with a powerful gravity field, attempting to pin Electro to the ground. However, Electro's reaction was extremely fast; his body quickly maneuvered, using the thrust of electric energy to avoid the gravitational restraint, then attacked again. An electric-flashing fist instantly shattered the psycho's head cyberware, completely incapacitating him.

Another cyberpsycho had spring-loaded cyberware implanted, making his legs as flexible as springs. He charged at Electro with astonishing speed, attempting to launch a close-range attack. Electro remained unperturbed; he quickly dodged, and as the psycho approached, a heavy punch carrying electric energy struck him in the chest, sending him flying.

Electro displayed extraordinary combat skills and agile movements. He quickly moved between the psychos, striking them down again and again. Each release of electric energy was a fatal blow, causing the group of cyberpsychos to constantly fall.

Meanwhile, the other cyberpsychos were not to be outdone; they attacked with various types of cyberware. Some psychos held firearms, shooting at Electro, but their attacks seemed ineffective against him, as he swiftly dodged and counterattacked.

The battle was in full swing. Electro moved like a lightning bolt among the psychos, his electric attacks like the scythe of death, reaping the lives of the psychos again and again. His footwork was also unparalleled; he nimbly dodged enemy attacks while launching counterattacks.

"The opponent might be a fully Sandevistan-implanted cyberpunk!" a cyberpsycho shouted, his eyes filled with fanaticism.

Time passed, and the battle continued. Electro's electric attacks became increasingly fierce, while the psychos grew more frenzied and desperate in their assault. They disregarded their own safety, only wanting to kill this seemingly fragile opponent.

However, the final outcome was obvious. Under Electro's powerful combat ability and calm fighting skills, the cyberpsychos fell one after another. Their cyberware was shattered, their bodies incinerated by electric energy, eventually turning into a pile of scrap metal and ashes.

The battle ended, and the entire building was filled with the smell of charring and a scene of desolation. Electro stood in the ruins, his body covered in dust and residual electric light. He coldly surveyed his surroundings, without the slightest emotional fluctuation.

"Mission accomplished," he said indifferently.

Nathan Hawke walked in from outside, saw this scene, and smiled slightly: "Well done."

The other two Mox gang members who had not yet left also walked in, looking shocked and dumbfounded at the incredible scene before them.

Deep down, two words unconsciously surfaced.

"Legend."

The morning sun shone through the glass windows of the skyscraper, casting light on Dexter DeShawn's face.

He sat in his spacious, luxurious office, gazing at the city view outside.

Night City's lights still twinkled, but the morning streets seemed calm and peaceful.

Dexter was one of the hottest fixers in the city; nothing that stirred in Night City escaped his notice.

He possessed a killer's intuition and matching experience—street rumors said that anyone who did business with Dexter DeShawn was destined for future success.

Sitting opposite him was Oleg, his loyal bodyguard and driver.

Oleg was a tall, burly man with cybernetic implants on his hands and neck, enhancing his unarmed combat abilities.

He was a man of few words, extremely loyal to his employer.

"Oleg, we're going to see Susie Q," Dexter said, his gaze still fixed on the window.

Oleg nodded, stood up, and gestured for Dexter to follow him.

The two left the office and walked into the black luxury car parked downstairs.

Oleg sat in the driver's seat, and Dexter sat in the back passenger seat.

The car slowly started and drove onto the streets of Night City.

Along the way, Dexter looked at the scenery outside, his mind filled with thoughts.

He had received intelligence late at night that a very powerful group of people had arrived in Night City, making the entire city suddenly more vibrant.

This piqued his interest, as he knew that such a change might affect his business.

"Oleg, have you heard? A new group of people has arrived in Night City," Dexter asked.

Oleg was silent for a moment, then replied faintly, "Yes, I have heard."

"Who are they? Why did they come to Night City?" Dexter's brows furrowed slightly as he pondered these questions.

Oleg didn't answer, just focused on driving.

He knew that Dexter wasn't just asking casually, but was considering his next move.

As his bodyguard and loyal assistant, Oleg would always support and execute his decisions.

The car drove through the busy streets, and Night City's skyscrapers glittered in the sunlight.

Dexter continued to gaze at the scene outside, his mind filled with thoughts.

He knew that Night City was full of opportunities and dangers, and only by staying vigilant and astute could he establish himself in this city.

Finally, the car arrived at the place Susie Q had arranged.

Oleg stopped the car, and Dexter got out.

Dexter DeShawn walked into the private room Susie Q had arranged, his gaze sweeping across the room.

Susie Q sat on the sofa, her eyes fixed on Dexter, with a hint of a mysterious smile.

"Dexter, long time no see.

You still look as energetic as ever," Susie Q broke the silence, her voice melodious and magnetic.

"You too, Q.

Your business seems to be booming," Dexter replied, his face showing little emotion.

Oleg followed behind, vigilantly observing his surroundings.

The two first engaged in some casual conversation, chatting about some gossip and rumors in the city.

However, Dexter knew in his heart that Susie Q wouldn't talk to him for no reason.

Susie Q smiled, and tentatively asked, "Dexter, are you interested in some information?

Information about that group from yesterday."

Dexter didn't answer immediately; he pondered for a moment.

The late-night intelligence told him that the group was not to be trifled with, but he was currently unsure whether he needed this information, or whether it would be beneficial to him.

"Tell me," Dexter finally spoke, wanting to hear what kind of information Susie Q was going to offer.

Susie Q smiled, her eyes twinkling, as if she was thinking about how to deliver the information.

"There were two people who came to me; their goal was to acquire as much technology as possible," Susie Q said slowly.

"As you know, there's a lot of technology in this city that would interest them, especially military-grade tech.

My guess is that two corporations in Night City are their targets: first, Militech, and second, Arasaka Corporation," she continued.

Dexter listened carefully, beginning to consider whether this information would benefit him.

Militech was indeed a very attractive target, but also quite dangerous.

"Q, why are you telling me this information?

What's in it for you?" Dexter finally asked, knowing that Susie Q wouldn't offer information selflessly.

Susie Q smiled, her gaze fixed on Dexter's eyes.

"I thought about it all night, Dexter.

You're one of the most respected fixers in Night City.

We need someone like you to help us get more information; you know how to handle this kind of intel.

And for me, this is also a trade.

If you can help us, we can also provide some information that might interest you," she said, her voice carrying a hint of temptation.

"It seems you intend to play both sides.

But aren't you afraid of retaliation if they find out?" Dexter immediately guessed Susie Q's intentions.

"Oh, you found me out.

I am afraid, but, well, let's give it a try, after all, you're also a prominent figure in Night City, aren't you?

As long as you don't tell the Militech people, like that arrogant Meredith Stout," Susie Q flattered.

Dexter understood Susie Q's hint and, after a moment of thought, said, "I've actually been doing business with her recently."

"In that case, then tell me about their strength."

"Legends," Susie Q had just finished speaking.

Dexter immediately spat out the drink he was sipping, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Susie Q opposite him: "What?

Say that again?

I thought I heard 'legends' just now."

Susie Q nodded in confirmation: "Very strong.

Among those two, one uses electricity, and my subordinates say he's very fast."

"Electricity?" Dexter pondered for a moment, then asked uncertainly, "Is it because of a Sandevistan or military-grade cyberware?"

Susie Q shook her head and said something that made Dexter feel a little apprehensive.

"There's no trace of any cybernetic implants on them."

As if afraid Dexter wouldn't believe her, Susie Q firmly repeated, "That's right, they have no cybernetic implants."

"Impossible!" Dexter suddenly stood up, completely disbelieving.

"Then how did they manage to wipe out about fifty Maelstrom gang members in such a short time?

And I also gathered some intel on the way here; it's said that the group of cyberpsychos you had a beef with were eliminated.

Could it have been them?"

Dexter pondered internally, and the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.

But after realizing it, he unconsciously started to break out in a cold sweat.

"So, their goal is Militech, not some bait sent out by the corporations?" Dexter asked tentatively, because this was crucial.

If the other party truly had the strength and truly intended to target Militech, then this period would be a critical time for change, and whether he could elevate his status, wealth, and influence would depend on these next few days.

Dexter looked at Susie Q seriously, and seeing her serious expression, he then smiled: "Since you're so confident, then I'm in.

But before we do anything, we must extract ourselves from this vortex."

...

Dexter DeShawn returned to his luxury car and began to ponder.

If the other party truly had the ability to enter Militech Tower and turn the city center upside down, then some of Militech's warehouses, some of its resources in Night City...

Dexter DeShawn finally couldn't help but show a hint of greed.

"Perhaps I should hire more mercenaries."

Dexter DeShawn sat in the back seat of the car, looking at the scenery outside, his inner thoughts merging with the cityscape of Night City.

The car weaved through the streets of Night City, neon lights reflecting the city's prosperity and hustle.

His heart was filled with complex emotions.

The information Susie Q had given him had plunged him into thought, and he was beginning to doubt his own choices.

The strength of that group of people had shocked him, especially the one who used electricity, who had no cybernetic implants whatsoever.

This was almost unthinkable in Night City.

"Who exactly are they?

Why did they come to Night City?" Dexter mused silently.

He knew he had to act carefully, avoiding revealing his intentions and plans.

At the same time, he also began to consider whether he needed to strengthen his own capabilities.

For a fixer, strength was the best trump card.

If he could have more mercenaries and powerful weapons and equipment, then in this turbulent city, he would be better able to protect his interests and status.

The car passed through the hustle and bustle of Night City, driving towards the distance.

Dexter watched the flashing lights of the streetlamps, his heart still full of doubt and challenge.

"This time, I must act carefully.

I must seize the opportunity and protect my interests," Dexter vowed to himself.

He knew this would be his greatest test in Night City, but also an opportunity, a chance to stand out even more.

The sights of Night City gradually faded from his vision, replaced by his inner resolve and determination.

No matter what risks and challenges lay ahead, he would face them bravely, because in this city, only the strong could survive.

"If possible, perhaps I really should ask Susie Q to find out what kind of people they are, what they look like, and how powerful they are.

That way, my bet would be more certain.

It's a choice between Militech and this group of people."

Suddenly, Dexter remembered the two words Susie Q had used to describe their strength: "Legends."

Dexter DeShawn unconsciously scoffed.

"Legends?"

"In Night City, only dead legends are legends."

My dearest boss, I've discovered from the data shard you gave me that the construction of this building wasn't entirely done by one team," Zhanji Lingma typed on the keyboard, analyzing the model building sorted by precise values on the laptop.

"Tell me about it," Nathan Hawke gestured for Zhanji Lingma to continue.

"According to my simulation, the construction of the building below the tenth floor was the work of Night International, the predecessor of NightCorp in Night City," Zhanji Lingma presented the data to Nathan Hawke one by one.

"Wait a moment," Zhanji Lingma suddenly stopped typing, a flash of inspiration crossing his mind, then he quickly started typing on the keyboard again.

"David James."

Nathan Hawke narrowed his eyes, intrigued by Zhanji Lingma's information. He knew that Night City's history was not simple, and many buildings hid secrets.

"Lingma, are you saying that this building was constructed by Night International, and this David James was the former CEO of NightCorp?" Nathan Hawke asked.

"That's right. Based on the data I analyzed, David James was the former CEO of NightCorp, and his traces are very evident in the design and construction of this building," Zhanji Lingma explained.

"I found some design blueprints from NightCorp's official website and some dark web sources. Although NightCorp is now dedicated to public construction, I can still compare and find some extremely similar traces."

"Interesting," Nathan Hawke lightly tapped the table, his eyes shimmering with thought.

Zhanji Lingma nodded, giving Nathan Hawke a look.

"Max, you and Zhanji Lingma go on a trip," Nathan Hawke said to the Electroman, who was sitting silently with his eyes closed.

The Electroman slowly opened his eyes, nodded gently, and then electricity slowly emanated from him as he floated up.

This showy action left Nathan Hawke and Zhanji Lingma speechless.

The Electroman and Zhanji Lingma left, and then Wesker returned, accompanied by several people dressed in very cyberpunk attire.

The moment he saw them, the virus in Nathan Hawke's body began to react.

"These?" Nathan Hawke asked.

"These are the people who survived after I used the virus to control them," Wesker said.

Nathan Hawke instantly understood Wesker's plan: "How many people can you control?"

"I'm not sure, but if you want, I can turn this city into a Resident Evil nightmare. I can roughly direct those infected into zombies in a general direction," Wesker said coldly, as if such a thing was effortless and commonplace for him.

A smile appeared on Nathan Hawke's face: "Very good. Control more people during this time. We will have a battle in the city center to attract attention."

Wesker understood Nathan Hawke's plan, nodded, and then left.

In the evening, while Nathan Hawke was meditating, Zhanji Lingma and the Electroman returned, accompanied by a David James whose suit was a bit tattered.

David James sat down huffily, glancing at the messy room with some disdain, but he endured it and looked at Nathan Hawke, saying, "As long as you don't torture or kill me, just tell me how you want me to cooperate."

Nathan Hawke looked at Zhanji Lingma, who returned a glance, pointing towards the Electroman. Nathan Hawke, seeing the direction of Zhanji Lingma's gaze, knew that the Electroman's ferocity was key to David James's docile cooperation. He smiled and said, "If a big shot like you disappears for a few days, we'd be in a lot of trouble."

David James didn't respond to that, but instead said to himself, "Mr. Zhanji Lingma has already told me that you want the floor plans of the Arasaka Tower. They are in the data shard implanted in my body, but I need to tell you that the Arasaka Tower has been renovated, and the renovation team was Arasaka's own team. I only know the first version of the design after it was built, so there are definitely some inaccuracies."

"No problem, please proceed," Nathan Hawke said, then looked at Zhanji Lingma.

Zhanji Lingma motioned for David James to expose his interface, then picked up the data cable connected to the laptop.

David James obediently exposed his interface, and then Zhanji Lingma inserted the data cable.

Zhanji Lingma noticed David James's somewhat unnatural gaze, knowing what he was thinking, and said, "You just need to tell me which folder it's in; I won't open anything else."

Hearing Zhanji Lingma's words, David James's expression improved considerably. He pointed with his finger at the monitor, showing the folder containing the blueprints for Arasaka Tower.

After Zhanji Lingma's series of operations, he pulled out the data cable connected to David James.

"Very good, Mr. David James, your cooperation makes me greatly admire people like you," Zhanji Lingma said with a smile. He hadn't seen such an obedient person in a long time, which reminded him of those who always opposed him and didn't cooperate when he worked at the World Tree Corporation.

David James said nothing, but his eyes looked towards Nathan Hawke.

The Electroman shook his head and said to Nathan Hawke and Zhanji Lingma, "Something is coming our way."

Zhanji Lingma also smiled and said, "Oh dear, it seems I've been proven wrong." He looked at David James and said mockingly, "Why did you call the Trauma Team bio-chip implanted in your body? Are you planning to have the Trauma Team eliminate us?"

"Trauma Team, composed of professionally combat-trained medical personnel. To protect clients from harm, they will stop at nothing. As long as one is rich enough to afford Trauma Team medical insurance, the client will receive a business card and a bio-chip implant. Once the chip identifies a problem with the client's bodily system, it will immediately notify the Trauma Team to rush to the scene, stabilize the patient's condition, and evacuate them. Regardless of how fierce the battle, come rain or shine," Zhanji Lingma read mockingly from the online definition of the Trauma Team.

Nathan Hawke stopped the Electroman, who was about to eliminate the Trauma Team, and said, "This time, I'll go myself."

"Wow!" Zhanji Lingma exclaimed excitedly.

"Hmm," the Electroman simply responded softly.

David James watched this scene, and his heart suddenly grew cold. It seemed, it seemed these three people weren't afraid at all.

To be honest, David James was initially dismissive. Seeing people who dared to hijack him without any cyberware implants, he simply ordered them to be eliminated and then ignored them. What he didn't expect was that the other party, in what seemed like a minute, had dealt with his hired security team and then brought him here. At the same time, the person who used electricity directly paralyzed most of the cyberware tools on his body. Fortunately, some of his body's cyberware was high-end, and it could operate again after he was brought here, such as the Trauma Team bio-implant chip he bought.

At the same time, he also began to gradually figure out the identity of this group of people; they might be the ones currently rumored to have taken down the Maelstrom gang. What he didn't expect was that even with the Trauma Team arriving, they still appeared so relaxed and at ease. Did they truly not understand the power of the Trauma Team, or did they possess a formidable strength he was unaware of? And this time, it wasn't even the person who used electricity, but clearly their leader who was going out. If so, would the leader of such powerful people be even stronger?

The answer was perhaps obvious, but David James's current thought was to hope that the Trauma Team could defeat these people and rescue him. As for the Trauma Team failing and returning, David James no longer held out much hope. If this batch of Trauma Team failed, then the next batch of Trauma Team would probably only find his ashes.

After Nathan Hawke used the virus to alter some of his appearance, he said before leaving, "Kill them, the kind that can't be revived."

David James was horrified!

...The Trauma Team received an urgent notification that a client was in danger and needed emergency medical attention. They were unaware of Nathan Hawke's existence, simply following the instructions of the emergency mission to provide aid.

A ZetaTech Atlas AV silently descended, and the Trauma Team's medical squad quickly disembarked, ready for action. They wore green uniforms, white pilot helmets, and carried Kang Tao G-58s, equipped with a range of powerful weapons and cyberware. This squad was prepared to complete the rescue mission and extract their target in the shortest possible time.

"What's the situation?" the Trauma Team leader asked.

"According to the emergency notification, our client is nearby," the emergency medical personnel replied.

"Alright, we'll search quickly. Once we find him, we'll evacuate as soon as possible," the security specialist said, gripping his submachine gun.

The Trauma Team quickly spread out, cautiously scouting while preparing for any potential danger.

Just then, footsteps approached, and the Trauma Team members alertly raised their guns, staring intently ahead. Nathan Hawke seized the opportunity, rapidly and accurately using telekinesis to disarm a security specialist.

"Enemy spotted!" the Trauma Team leader shouted, and they immediately returned fire. But Nathan Hawke flexibly dodged the bullets, and once again used telekinesis to tear open another security specialist's armor, exposing him.

"It's gravity or tearing type cyberware!" a member shouted.

The Trauma Team members continuously fired, but Nathan Hawke's speed made it difficult for them to lock onto a target. He moved erratically, sometimes appearing behind them, sometimes hiding in high places. The Trauma Team members found themselves in a tough fight.

With a flash of Nathan Hawke's telekinesis, another security specialist was instantly knocked to the ground, losing the ability to resist.

The other Trauma Team members stared in shock at their fallen comrade, realizing they were facing a powerful opponent. They immediately adjusted their formation, deploying snipers and providing covering fire, attempting to corner Nathan Hawke.

Nathan Hawke felt their pressure and teamwork, and decided to release a portion of the jenova cells' power.

With a low roar, the jenova cells in Nathan Hawke's body rapidly activated, and his body was instantly enveloped in a shimmering golden energy shield. This shield made him almost indestructible, like an immortal War God.

The remaining members of Trauma Team and the ZetaTech Atlas AV launched an even more ferocious attack on Nathan Hawke. Kang Tao G-58 bullets rained down in a frenzy, constantly tearing through the air, their firepower concentrated and orderly, attempting to overwhelm Nathan Hawke.

Nathan Hawke effortlessly dodged all attacks, using Psychokinesis on one side and his fists on the other, capable of sending an enemy flying with a single blow. His movements were agile and swift, like a leopard weaving through the battlefield, continuously breaking through the enemy's lines.

The members of Trauma Team and the ZetaTech Atlas AV fell into chaos and panic, unsure how to deal with this invincible enemy. Faced with Nathan Hawke's furious assault, they could only watch helplessly as their comrades were defeated.

Nathan Hawke's gaze was cold and ruthless; he showed no hesitation, no mercy, just mercilessly killing his enemies one by one.

He was merely counting the number of Trauma Team members in his mind: "This isn't like the game? Is it because I'm a higher-tier VIP member?"

The Trauma Team members present began to feel fear and despair. They realized they were not facing an ordinary enemy, but an indestructible War God. Their attacks had almost no effect, only making Nathan Hawke even more violent.

"Impossible... What kind of monster is this!" a Trauma Team member screamed in terror.

Nathan Hawke ignored their cries and continued to pursue every enemy. There was no emotion in his eyes, only cold killing intent. He knew that only by eliminating all Trauma Team members could he ensure his secret was not leaked.

As the battle progressed, Nathan Hawke's movements became faster and faster, his power growing stronger and stronger. The Trauma Team members seemed to have no resistance before him, falling one after another, unable to get back up.

The ZetaTech Atlas AV was no exception, easily destroyed by Nathan Hawke. His Psychokinesis sent the AV tumbling through the air, eventually crashing heavily to the ground, twisted into scrap metal.

Nathan Hawke grew tired of playing, looking at the Trauma Team members groaning in pain on the ground. He raised a hand, clenching it into a fist. In his palm, a powerful energy shimmered—this was the power unleashed by his jenova cells combined with Psychokinesis.

"If I weren't pressed for time, I would have played a bit longer," Nathan Hawke's voice was cold and emotionless.

He swiftly raised his hand into the air, then clenched it forcefully. In an instant, the entire battlefield seemed to plunge into a chaotic vortex. A furious energy erupted from his hand, forming a massive Impact that spread in all directions.

The Trauma Team members let out desperate screams, trying to escape this tearing force, but it was too late. The energy Impact instantly covered the entire battlefield, engulfing everyone within it.

In an instant, all Trauma Team members on the battlefield exploded, their bodies turning into fragments of flesh and blood, scattering everywhere. No one survived; Nathan Hawke's Psychokinesis ultimate move completely annihilated them all.

The battlefield fell into a deathly silence, with only Nathan Hawke standing there, the golden energy shield still surrounding his body. His face remained cold and emotionless, as if the battle he had just fought was merely a game to him.

Hearing the sound of a distant helicopter, Nathan Hawke murmured, "NCPD has noticed this place. It's time to move somewhere else."

When the NCPD and another group of Trauma Team members cautiously explored Nathan Hawke's group's resting place, they found that there was nothing left... Dexter DeShawn was somewhat restless. According to the news he had just received, a shocking piece of information had spread: Trauma Team in Kabuki Ward had been wiped out, and in a way that left no bodies. No, there were two disfigured bodies in the wrecked Atlas AV. Although this time, no traces of "electric" abilities were found at the scene.

But Dexter DeShawn's intuition told him that it was the work of that group of fierce tigers.

Subsequently, based on the message from his subordinates, Dexter DeShawn's body trembled as he found the most desired information.

"David James has disappeared. Trauma Team went after him and was subsequently wiped out. And David James was once a member of Militech construction. It seems those people are serious." Dexter DeShawn suddenly felt a chill in his heart. He suddenly thought of something very terrifying: as a famous middleman in Night City, there was a high probability that they would come for him. Although he had thought about meeting these people, it was just a thought, not an action.

As various news spread like wildfire, the sky gradually darkened. Looking at the inseparable Oleg, he said, "Pay more attention recently, and now go hire some more people. I need you to test the strength of this batch of mercenaries."

"Understood, sir," Oleg replied, taking his orders.

As Oleg opened the room door, he stopped in front. Dexter DeShawn's eyes instantly widened, knowing that danger was upon him, and he was about to press the office button to escape.

"Don't be so afraid, Dexter DeShawn."

Dexter DeShawn only heard a voice, then saw Oleg fall to the floor, watching a man in a suit walk in.

"Just you?" Dexter DeShawn asked.

"I have something for you to do," Nathan Hawke said, sitting opposite Dexter.

"You must be that group of cross-river tigers. The streets are already in an uproar. Vortex Gang, cyberpsychos, Trauma Team Corporation, and even some mercenaries and bounty hunters are already targeting you," Dexter DeShawn said after settling down.

Nathan Hawke got straight to the point: "My original goal was Militech, but after I eliminated a Trauma Team squad, I wondered why I couldn't acquire all the technology from Trauma Team Corporation and all the corporations in Corporate Plaza. But then I thought of another problem: I have too few people, very few."

Nathan Hawke snapped his fingers, then pointed at Dexter DeShawn opposite him.

"You're going to work for me now. I want to acquire the technology of most corporate companies in Night City."

Dexter DeShawn heard the other party's boast. Although he wanted to mock him, seeing the other party's combat power, he still said steadily, "Your words are a bit presumptuous. Your strength..." Dexter DeShawn suddenly found himself speechless, his eyes wide as he looked at the scene before him.

The items in the room, no, on the entire floor, began to float, including himself, and at the same time, a voice echoed in his mind.

"You can understand my strength as: God."

Dexter DeShawn looked in horror at Nathan Hawke, who was floating in the air before him.

"I already have a group of subordinates to attack Corporate Plaza. Now I need you to discreetly spread rumors while hiring mercenaries to attack the peripheral resource areas of these companies, diverting their attention."

"As for the benefits."

Nathan Hawke slowly descended, his Psychokinesis dissipating steadily, and then Wesker walked in.

While Dexter DeShawn was in a daze, Wesker's arm transformed into a tentacle and pierced into Dexter DeShawn's body.

"The virus in Wesker's body can make your body more courageous and more enduring."

Thirty minutes later, Dexter DeShawn, drenched in sweat and lying on the floor, stood up. His once flabby belly was gone, replaced by a muscular physique.

"I can't believe it. I thought I joined the Animals gang," Dexter DeShawn said, incredulously, as he squeezed his muscles and swallowed.

"Your strength has greatly improved. Even a Trauma Team squad won't be able to harm you."

In his excitement, Dexter DeShawn became even more wary of the two people in front of him. It seemed he no longer had any room to refuse.

"Oh, and call me boss. Also, I'll only be staying here for a few days. Discuss the rest with Wesker and get more subordinates. Also, communicate more with Zhan Ji Lingma to learn how to acquire corporate technology," Nathan Hawke instructed Dexter DeShawn.

"Understood, boss," Dexter DeShawn said with a forced smile, accepting the order.

It must be said, Dexter DeShawn was shocked.

In an abandoned building in Watson District, Dexter DeShawn saw some monsters that looked like humans but also not, and there were also some people who looked human but were completely controlled.

Seeing this, Dexter DeShawn also had a question: what about himself? Was he also controlled?

Wesker said coldly, "My virus is in your body, and I can control you, but there's no need. You just need to work hard during this period."

Upon hearing this, Dexter DeShawn broke out in a cold sweat. No cold sweat!

"Your body is gradually fusing with and being modified by the virus within it. You can slowly experience its mysteries. The virus in your body is different from those other goods."

After hearing this, Dexter DeShawn's expression improved significantly. At least what he had was high-grade stuff.

"Okay, I will prepare for the attack. I will definitely complete this mission," Dexter DeShawn immediately straightened his attitude. Whether he could complete it or not, at least his attitude and actions had to show it.

And this, was Dexter DeShawn's way of survival in Night City.

Days passed, and Dexter DeShawn's surprise showed no signs of abating. The strength of Wesker, Electro, and Zhan Ji Lingma had left a deep impression on him. It wasn't just the daunting tasks they had to complete, but their individual powerful abilities.

Among them, Electro, who had accompanied him on a mission, particularly impressed him. They had arrived in the Badlands, the territory of the Aldecaldos. At first, Dexter DeShawn didn't want to come here, knowing that his appearance was too conspicuous, especially in the territory of Thor Bright, where he felt somewhat out of place.

He also knew that ever since Thor Bright took power, he had tried to break the family's smuggling tradition and establish a relationship with the corporations, but this approach had caused a lot of resentment in the camp. Some called Thor Bright a corporate lackey, believing he was using the Aldecaldos for personal gain, but Dexter DeShawn knew the misunderstanding behind it.

Eventually, he decided to let Oleg, who had also been injected with the virus, drive them to Thor Bright's camp. He had finally changed his mind; he was no longer the fat man he used to be.

Dexter DeShawn and his group traversed a desolate desert, arriving in the territory of the Aldecaldos.

The Badlands is a desolate and dangerous place, widely considered one of the most treacherous areas in Night City. The surface of the Badlands is covered with fine yellow sand, dust swirling in the wind, forming a hazy scene. The Sun hangs high in the sky, its fierce rays scorching the earth, and the hot air is suffocating. In this endless expanse of yellow sand, only sparse vegetation stubbornly grows, life clinging on in the harsh environment.

The camp's entrance was guarded by a heavy iron gate, adorned with the Aldecaldo family's emblem, symbolizing the family's authority and glory. Several worn-out warriors stood before the gate, weapons in hand, their eyes vigilantly scanning their surroundings, ready to respond to any potential threat.

Dexter DeShawn walked ahead, his gaze sweeping over the environment, noting every detail. Although he appeared relaxed, his heart remained vigilant. In a place like the Badlands, any reckless move could cost him his life.

Oleg followed closely, his cybernetic implants glinting, ready to respond to any sudden situation.

Electro followed indifferently.

As they entered the camp, the Aldecaldo members were not enthusiastic about their arrival. Some eyed Dexter DeShawn, Oleg, and Electro with cold stares, clearly uninterested in their identities.

The camp was filled with the heavy smell of oil smoke and sweat. Aldecaldo members came and went, each face bearing indifference and wariness. The Badlands was not a friendly place; it was a marketplace for interests, where people only believed in profit, not in sentiment or righteousness.

After Dexter DeShawn exited the vehicle, his gaze swept over the surroundings. Dilapidated buildings and abandoned vehicles were scattered everywhere, revealing the marks of time and its relentless passage. The dirty streets, if they could even be called streets, had some crowds, some whispering, others engaged in various transactions.

"Where is Thor Bright?" Dexter DeShawn's voice was cold and firm, without a hint of politeness.

A burly warrior approached, a hint of disdain on his face: "Who are you? What business do you have with our leader?"

"A deal?" The warrior sneered, "We don't welcome deals with corporate lackeys."

Oleg frowned; he didn't like this arrogant attitude. His gaze turned cold, and his hand went to his weapon, ready to strike at any moment.

However, Dexter DeShawn raised a hand to stop him. He smiled at the warrior: "I am not a corporate lackey; I am just a middleman. I bring an opportunity for a mutually beneficial exchange."

The warrior furrowed his brows, clearly not believing Dexter DeShawn's words. He laughed mockingly: "A middleman like you, daring to come to our territory? Truly overestimating yourself."

"You may not believe me, but I believe Thor Bright will be interested in this opportunity," Dexter DeShawn said calmly.

The warrior hesitated, then nodded: "Alright, I'll inform the leader and see if he's willing to meet you."

Dexter DeShawn nodded, waiting quietly. He knew that no matter how the other party viewed him, Thor Bright would not easily let go of an opportunity that could bring him profit. In a place like the Badlands, whoever could bring him more strength and resources was the ally he needed.

Thor Bright looked at Dexter DeShawn, not speaking immediately. He remained silent for a moment, seemingly scrutinizing the middleman before him.

"Are you here to do business with me?" Thor Bright finally spoke, his voice crisp and devoid of emotion.

"Yes," Dexter DeShawn replied frankly, neither evading nor concealing.

"You're completely different from the Dexter DeShawn I know," Thor Bright said with a frown.

Dexter DeShawn responded with a smile: "You could say I used something similar to the Animal Gang's super-testosterone and animal supplements. You should also remember Oleg behind me."

Thor Bright stared at Oleg for a moment, then nodded: "Speak, I'm listening."

"A business deal concerning the corporation."

"Corporation?" Thor Bright asked. He indeed had some ideas recently, but if the Dexter DeShawn before him was truly Dexter DeShawn, then he did know people in the corporation and could listen further.

"Go on."

"We plan to attack Corporate Plaza."

"What!" Thor Bright exclaimed in shock.

Hearing the commotion, the Aldecaldo members immediately burst in. "Go, go, go, all of you, get out of here," Thor Bright immediately rebuked the entering Aldecaldo members.

Then, he recomposed himself, sat down, and asked in confusion: "You're going to attack the corporation?"

"It's an attack on Corporate Plaza," Dexter DeShawn said, pulling out a cigar. "Want one? Do you mind if I smoke one here?"

Thor Bright shook his head: "Go ahead and smoke."

The two of them did not continue their conversation, and Dexter DeShawn quietly smoked his cigar.

After a long while.

"I'm sorry, I cannot let the Aldecaldos get into trouble," Thor Bright refused.

"Aren't you going to listen to the benefits?" Dexter DeShawn asked one last time.

"No, I cannot put the family in danger," Thor Bright said with a slight, apologetic smile.

Dexter DeShawn nodded, then stood up and said: "Alright then, let's just pretend I never told you about this. " He took a puff of his cigar, then continued: "I don't want this matter to reach the corporation."

Thor Bright replied: "I didn't see Dexter DeShawn today."

"We'll talk next time there's business."

...Dexter DeShawn, Oleg, Electro, and Wesker arrived at the Wraiths' territory, a desolate abandoned factory, surrounded by dilapidated buildings and discarded vehicles, making one feel as if they were in the ruins of an apocalypse.

The Wraiths' territory, like the Badlands of Night City, was filled with danger and tension. Here, the law of survival was the strong preying on the weak; only powerful factions could survive. Dexter DeShawn knew this well, and he was prepared to face any potential enemies at any time.

The Wraiths' influence spanned multiple states, a vast and notorious nomad group. They lived by violence and plunder, hostile towards mercenaries and city folk. In this cruel World, the Wraiths were like a pack of hungry wolves, always ready to pounce on weaker prey.

Dexter DeShawn walked at the forefront, his face calm, showing no fear. He knew that doing business with a faction like the Wraiths would not be easy, but he also had his own confidence and methods.

"We need to be careful; the Wraiths are not to be trifled with," Dexter DeShawn whispered to his companions behind him.

Oleg showed a cautious attitude, while Electro and Wesker were expressionless.

The group continued forward, Dexter DeShawn stepping into the Wraiths' territory without hesitation. They were surrounded by several Wraiths members, weapons gripped tightly in their hands, observing the strangers warily.

"Who are you? What is your purpose here?" a Wraiths member asked grimly.

Dexter DeShawn smiled faintly, knowing this was the Wraiths' usual demeanor. He replied without hesitation: "We are here to do business; we have a cooperation proposal."

The Wraiths members exchanged glances, then one of them sneered: "Cooperation? Do you think we'll believe you? Here, only profit is real."

"I think it's better to just kill them. Their things will be ours," another said wickedly.

"We have no other intentions; we just want to engage in a mutually beneficial cooperation with you," Dexter DeShawn's tone was firm and sincere.

At that moment, a tall figure emerged from the crowd. He wore a black leather jacket, his face covered in tattoos, and his gaze was as sharp as a blade. It was the leader of this particular Wraiths group, Nash.

Nash looked at Dexter DeShawn and the others, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes: "Who are you?"

Dexter DeShawn calmly walked towards Nash, meeting his gaze without fear: "I am Dexter DeShawn, a middleman. We are not here to cause you trouble, but to initiate a cooperation with the Wraiths."

"Dexter DeShawn?" Nash raised an eyebrow, a teasing note in his voice. "You look different."

Dexter DeShawn cast an indifferent glance at Nash, whose contempt and provocation were insignificant in his eyes. As a prominent fixer in Night City, he had seen too many similar characters, and Nash was nothing more than a small-timer to him.

"It seems you Wraiths are as impolite as ever," Dexter DeShawn said disdainfully.

Nash sneered, "We don't need to be polite to a fixer like you."

"Very well, since you don't trust us, there's nothing more to discuss." Dexter DeShawn turned to leave.

"Wait." Nash stopped him; he didn't want to miss any potential opportunity. "Tell me, what kind of cooperation proposal do you have?"

"We are going to attack Night City's Corporate Plaza," Dexter DeShawn stated without hesitation.

"Are you looking for death?" Nash looked at the overconfident Dexter DeShawn as if he were insane. "Corporate Plaza has NCPD patrols and violent Anti-Terrorism Mobile Unit. If you want to die, don't drag me into it."

"Besides you, quite a few others are involved as well," Dexter DeShawn said calmly.

Nash raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? It seems some big shots are getting involved." He then grinned, "If that's the case, you must have gone to the Aldecaldos first, hit a wall, and then came to me, right?"

"Just tell me if you're participating or not," Dexter DeShawn said, not wanting to waste words.

Nash showed a disdainful look, "Participate? Then you'll have to show me your strength first."

Nash clapped his hands heavily, and a group of Wraiths surrounded them, their expressions provocative.

A battle was about to erupt!

Electro made his move, his body seemingly merging into an endless Electrical Energy, with arcs of Electrical Energy leaping around him, as if a deity had descended.

"What is that?" Nash was still in shock.

Electro raised his hands, releasing a powerful Electrical Energy Impact that surged towards the Wraiths members. Arcs of Electrical Energy crisscrossed the air, making sizzling sounds. The moment the Wraiths were hit, their entire bodies were paralyzed, unable to move.

Some Wraiths struggled to retaliate, but Electro's speed was simply too fast. He moved like a Shadow, appearing and disappearing, easily dodging all attacks.

The Wraiths discovered in horror that their weapons seemed to have no effect on Electro. Even with reaction enhancers and Pain Editors cyberware, they couldn't withstand the invasion of his Electrical Energy.

Electro was expressionless; his body became even more shimmering, as if his entire being had merged into the Electrical Energy. He rapidly waved his hands, and arcs of Electrical Energy drew beautiful curves in the air before instantly striking a Wraith.

That Wraith let out a scream, his entire body instantly enveloped in Electrical Energy, then turned to ash. The other Wraiths witnessed this scene, fear gripping their hearts.

"He's a monster!" someone shouted through gritted teeth.

"Let's go!" another Wraith, unwilling to show weakness, fired his hot weapon at Electro.

Electro's eyes were cold and merciless. He met that Wraith, and Electrical Energy surged from his hands, piercing through the opponent's body like a bolt of lightning.

The Wraith let out a scream and instantly fell dead.

The Wraiths began to feel fear and despair. They realized that they were facing not an ordinary enemy, but an existence so powerful it was almost invincible.

Electro continued to wield the Electrical Energy in his hands, like a lightning bolt traversing the battlefield, knocking down one Wraith after another. His speed was elusive, and every attack was fatal.

The Wraiths members fell to the ground one after another, unable to withstand Electro's powerful attacks. They were scared, scared of this stranger from Night City, scared of the chilling Electrical Energy power emanating from him.

Nash's expression also became solemn; he hadn't expected the opponent to possess such formidable strength.

"Enough!" Nash shouted through gritted teeth, "We retreat!"

He was unwilling to take any more risks; the Wraiths' losses were already significant, and continuing the fight would only increase casualties.

"Max," Wesker called out.

With an instant dash, carrying a dazzling and deadly Electrical Energy burst, his arm stopped at the neck of a Wraith.

"Ah ah ah ah ah!" Upon seeing Electro, that Wraith was immediately so terrified that his legs gave out, causing him to fall directly to the ground, looking up in horror at the terrifying presence that almost took his life.

Nash, not far away, also witnessed this scene, instinctively swallowing. The shock and terror surged through him. He reached out with a trembling hand and said, "You! You're the group that killed many Vortex Gang members, cyberpsychos, and possibly even took down a Trauma Team squad. It's you, it's you, right?"

"Correct, but no prize," Dexter DeShawn said with a snap of his fingers, playfully.

"So, so…" Nash looked at Wesker, who had spoken, "You are the leader this time, right?"

Dexter DeShawn responded with a smile, "No, I'm not."

"It's not him!!!" Nash's inner fear intensified again.

Dexter DeShawn walked up to Nash and said, "What do you think?"

Nash forced a smile and said, "Of course, I will follow My Lord's wishes and participate in this battle. However, we Wraiths want to enter Night City."

"Don't worry, gather more Wraiths from nearby these two days. I have a way to arrange your entry. As for attacking Corporate Plaza, you're just for show. Whatever you loot will be your reward this time."

Nash's eyes lit up, very excited by this proposal.

"Okay, I'll gather my men immediately," Nash immediately called over a trembling Wraith and said, "Quickly go gather people, and don't let any information leak. Whoever leaks the news will be killed directly."

"Yes, yes." That Wraith lowered his head, nodded frantically, and then left, his legs still weak and uncontrollable as he departed… Inside the new stronghold.

Nathan Hawke and his group began to discuss the plan.

"The number of people I control is about 100, but only about 70 can truly form some combat power," Wesker said.

"There are 45 mercenaries. I heard it was an attack on Corporate Plaza, and only the Cleaners were willing to come," Dexter DeShawn said.

"Will the news leak?" Nathan Hawke asked.

"They have all been gathered together. Anyone who would leak it has already been killed," Dexter DeShawn finished, glancing at Oleg behind him.

Oleg's current strength was greater than before, making dealing with the Cleaners a piece of cake.

Nathan Hawke nodded, then looked at the three new additions.

Su Xi-qi. Father. Nash.

"Ha, I really didn't expect Father to participate. Aren't you in Heywood?" He then glanced at Dexter DeShawn and said, "To be honest, are you mixed up with the Animals? You've become a big muscular man now, it's really hard to get used to."

Noticing Nathan Hawke looking at her, Su Xi-qi said, "My hacker technicians are already working with Zhan Ji Lingma to crack the defense system on Corporate Plaza. I can only provide 50 people, unlike others who have vast resources."

"I remember Evelyn Parker from your Mox Gang is a corporate executive, right?" Father said with a slight smile.

Su Xi-qi couldn't deny the matter of Evelyn Parker. "She's not involved in this matter. But you, Father, what leverage do you have?"

Father said mysteriously, "Of course, I have a group of elite-level people."

Father looked at Nathan Hawke and said, "A portion of the Valentinos are very interested in this plan. They will join as mercenaries, about 100 people. If the battle expands, there might be 200 people."

"At the same time, Jack Welles and V can provide you with professional theft missions."

"Very good," Nathan Hawke said, signaling Wesker with his eyes.

"I'm not in a hurry; we can start after the meeting," Father said, then looked at Dexter DeShawn opposite him, his eyes flashing with a hint of undetectable envy.

Nathan Hawke nodded, then looked at Nash.

"300 people, 300 Wraiths have already entered Night City," Nash said, glancing at the identities of the people present and the forces behind them: the Mox Gang, the Valentinos, the Wraiths, Dexter DeShawn's mercenaries, and the faction controlled by Wesker. There were also four individuals whose strength was unfathomable.

"Good, it's settled then. The subsequent attack plan will be sent to you by Zhan Ji Lingma," Nathan Hawke said. "We will launch the attack at dawn two days from now. Before that, everyone needs to make full preparations."

The meeting ended.

Father and Dexter DeShawn were exchanging words.

Father had, as he wished, obtained the power he had longed for and a longer life.

Father's mouth curved upwards as he said to Dexter DeShawn, "When you first came to me, I was surprised, astonished. I never thought someone like you would also submit to another's command. But now I understand. Such power and vitality in the body truly make one feel very passionate."

"So, our alliance?" Dexter DeShawn asked.

"I agree, I will ally with you," Father said with full vigor.

"The boss told me that after the night of the attack, he will leave. At that time, how many resources we can obtain and whether we can advance further will depend on this time."

Father nodded solemnly, "To be honest with you, the Valentinos' focus is the Trauma Team's medical technology; that's the big prize."

"I understand. Isn't it just right for V and Jack to steal the Trauma Team's technology for the boss?" Dexter DeShawn said with a mysterious smile.
