CURSED LYCAN
Kael collapsed during training.
One moment he was demonstrating advanced combat techniques to new recruits. The next, he was on the ground. Convulsing. Eyes flickering between silver and gold and black.
Sera felt it through the bond before anyone shouted. Felt his pain. His confusion. His fear.
She was across the compound in seconds. "Everyone back! Give him space!"
Daniel shifted, ready to help restrain Kael if needed. Emma cleared the recruits. Marcus called medical.
But Sera knew what this was. Recognized it from years ago.
The curse. It was back.
"No," she whispered. Dropped beside Kael. "No, that's impossible. The bond broke it. Years ago. It's gone."
But Kael's body told a different story. His bones were shifting wrong. Fur rippling across skin in patches. The incomplete transformation that marked curse corruption.
