"Of course," Cyril said. "Do you need anything else?"
Eric hesitated, then sighed. "Not really. But we have to discuss Redwood."
Cyril paused. "I have an idea. A crazy one. You may not agree to it."
"Hit me," Eric said wearily.
"Infiltrate Alpha Mark's circle."
"With who?" Eric snapped. "I am just finding my footing as alpha. I barely trust my own instincts right now. I do not have anyone except you who would walk into fire for me."
Cyril met his gaze steadily. "You underestimate how much your people love you. But, I know someone…"
"No," Eric barked. "Absolutely not."
"Hear me out, alpha."
"Cyril, no. Forget it."
"I will not put him in Alpha Mark's reach."
"Okay," Cyril said after a moment, backing off. "I will think of another way."
Eric exhaled. "Thank you."
"I will bring Sera here tonight," Cyril added. "But I have to go. My father needs updates on what is happening."
