Eric's jaw tightened.
Cyril fed her the cake, and when Sera laughed again, a smear of cream caught at the corner of her mouth. Cyril reached out, wiping it away with his thumb.
"He's going to kiss her," Willie said solemnly.
"No, he won't," Eric replied immediately. His voice was calm, but his fingers curled tighter around the bottle.
"Wanna bet?" Willie grinned faintly. "That move is classic."
"He wouldn't dare," Eric muttered. His grip tightened further.
Willie leaned forward, eyes glued to the scene. "He is going in in… three… two… one…"
Cyril leaned in.
It was quick. A small peck, barely more than a brush of lips. Sera blinked in surprise, then laughed softly, clearly caught off guard, her hand lifting.
A low, dangerous growl rumbled out of his chest before he could stop it. The champagne bottle shattered in his hand with a sharp crack, glass splintering as liquid spilled everywhere.
Eric felt the Shadow Wolf surging forward, demanding to be unleashed.
