They hadn't finished talking about me, they talked about my strange looking eyes and that man named Maglan said that it may have been the result of a mutation that happened during the cloning process, he mentioned that my facial features might have also underwent the same mutation .
I found out that we wasn't the only clones, they had produced, but i didn't see even a trace of the previous batch of clones, i already have a clear idea about what could have happened to them, but that was the cruel fate that waited all the defective product, myself included .
I was clear about one thing from the way he spoke, he still hadn't given up on his wish of continuing to study and experiment on me, then their conversation ended with both of them who was looking at me as i stared through the strange mirror back at them, but they didn't take that to be of any insignificant important, what did take them by surprise was the fact that i was sitting steadily in the capsule, something that a week old baby, shouldn't have been able to do .
But other than the shock of seeing this happening in front of them, both the teacher and his student didn't seem to be that shocked about it, only taken by surprise a bit .
Their last piece of conversation was once again a last piece of advice and a warning to Maglan, one that had me understand that he might have gave him, his tacit consent and agreement of Maglan action from now on, he looked at some corner in the room and then told his assistant that he should be careful going forward and to not make any more mistakes, which his assistant respond to by giving a big smile and nodding while bowing in front of his teacher .
So that was going on, then it's no wonder that i was put on a room on my own, it was beneficial to how they wanted to conduct their research of their, i felt nothing at this discovery, but i labeled that Maglan as a bad guy, just because of his reckless actions, which could have led me to my death .
I don't know whether was it out of dissatisfaction or resentment, but i didn't like him one bit, even though he could be said to be responsible for my uniqueness, but i was still somehow holding a grudge against him and the others in this facility at least that was my knowledge was telling me, i myself didn't feel much about all of this, this weird state i was also without a doubt their doing, that Maglan guy might have helped me a lot .
But i still don't like him, i acknowledged him as a grave danger on my safety, one that might continue to loom around me for quite some time, i was now looking back at where my siblings were currently, wondering about now that i know that all my uniqueness was all pre installed in me, i'm now certain that i was actually the defective sample not them, i become disappointed or at least that was how i should react, but instead i found that i can't even understand how to act disappointed, i have the information needed to know how to act, but i just can't and it doesn't even bother me a bit, or it does but i just can't help but be nonchalant about it .
I don't know if i'm really alive or not at this point, all that i have in mind was pre installed in me, am i really nothing but a mere clone, all that contemplation on life and its meaning was put in my mind by the man named Maglan who also did mention that i have Superpowers, i searched all my mind and the mind of the people that i could acces to in the facility and even tried to go some distance beyond it, but other than the information given by the doctor and his assistant, the information about those superpowers, or even the term superpower itself wasn't mentioned even faintly, so i give up on this project, seeing that it was futile .
But from their reaction, i can tell that they must be something quite extraordinary, something was telling me that i will learn about them more in the time to come, but at least i finally understood why did the ticklish go away, the Psions were being sucked out of the room when there was a need to, or if the researcher in charge asked them to do so, the ticklish feel disappeared with the disappearance of the abundant Psions in the air, i also got to know about how old i was, i was 7 days old give or take .
The uncertainty was because i was a clone not a real human being, born of a fetus or maybe i was born from a fetus, but anyway their is the possibility that i have been born earlier, but only gained conscious 7 days ago, so for now i believe that i'm 7 days old and unless more information came up i will continue to go by that .
I also got a few information about the original body who i and my siblings were cloned of, it seem that he was from a big family named Yotsuba, this family from Maglan reaction seemed to be quite influential, but dangerous, so how can a body of a child of that family be found and even be cloned, i have been hiding from asking myself this question ..
But what exactly was our purpose as clones of that child, were we going to be infiltrating that family, was it that family who asked these guys to do this experiment .
No from how they try to conduct this research of their, i can tell that even the people above have no idea about what was exactly going on in this section of the facility, some of the workers don't even know of it existence, i saw many clones in the section above all lined up in rows a few research from time to time keep checking the reports on them one by one, will we end up lined up like them in the future as well, the clones looked to be quite young, each had different facial features, but they all held stern faces .
Once the check up on them finished, then they were dismissed and my assumption of them being clones was wrong the moment that they were ordered to dismiss, the fixed posture of theirs relaxed then they began to talk to one another about different kinds of things as they came out of the place where the check up was conducted, them who i first thought was clones, turned out to be actually humans, as i began focus more on one of their bodies, i found that Psion was roaming inside their body in a quite particular way, one feature that they all shared, making it more viable to think that they were clones, but seeing their interactions and comparing it to the information i had, they were no doubt that they were very much human beings, not clones like us .
Just as i was about to look away, one of them actually mentioned a term that caught my attention, he was talking about the Ten Master Clans and and how was more than willing to die for a chance to fight and even finish one, he looked to be quite excited at the mere thought of this, but even though his words and thoughtd seemed to have resonated with his other comrades, he soon was reprimanded and berated by others, warning him to not speak so openly about such things, if he didn't want to die by a Kuroba hands that is .
Then without any warning, the first guy began to curse the Yotsuba family and all of its members, leaving me who don't anything about what was going on here completely clueless, i then heard a few new terms that i didn't have even a clue about, like Dahan and The Great Asian Union, the 10 master Clans was mentioned again together with the Yotsuba family name .
In short the guys who reprimanded the previous guys said that he shouldn't just go around spouting such nonsense, just because his precious Dahan lost its independent country status, he shouldn't bark at the Yotsuba family, one of the 10 Master Clans, the said guy just begrudgingly shock his head and said nothing more but he gritted his teeth and cursed The Great Asian Union .
I was a bit surprised to know that the Yotsuba family was one of the 10 Master Clans, even though i didn't understand much of what that even entailed, but it must be quite the something .
I was about to continue listening what was all of this about, but the door to the room i was in suddenly got opened, forcing me to let all the other matters go and focus more on who was coming inside my room, Maglan and another female researcher whom i have seen a few minutes ago looking at me with fascination .
I sat there looking at the two guys who entered the room, one was looking at me with a kind smile, the other was frowning while looking at a tablet in his hand for a few seconds before approaching me with an expressionless face, the smiling face belonged to the woman, the expressionless one belonged to Maglan, i wonder what exactly did he come here for .
Maglan :
You didn't have to accompany me Morinaga-san, i already promised the doctor to not try anything funny with the sample .
The woman named Morinaga stopped looking at me and wrinkled her brows a little before frowning and saying looking disgustingly at the trying to act all innocent Maglan, so she said :
I don't care about what you told the doctor, i'm here mainly to do my job and if the doctor really believed in your so-called promise, he wouldn't have asked me to go along with you, now would he ? .
The man appeared to be a bit agitated at her words, but remembering that the place was still under quite a heavy surveillance, he swallowed those hurtful words and began to directly head toward my capsule, the woman soon followed after him, she seemed to be eyeing him suspiciously, so that was Morinaga, that the doctor assigned to keep an eye on that troublesome Maglan .
His hand reached for the button that opened up the capsule i was in and he found me staring directly at him with a nonchalant face, he suddenly stretched his hand towards me and i was still nonchalantly staring deep in his eyes with my gemstone like eyes, something that for some reason provoked him even more as he outstretched his hand towards my neck in a quite quick motion, but just as his hand was about to grab my neck, a delicate hand suddenly appeared and hit the back of his hand, forcing his hand to stop in its tracks .
I already told you before, don't try anything that might hurt number 40, didn't i ? .
She said and shielded my capsule from his sight by stepping out in front of it, he groaned a bit in pain, but still answered with a smile that wasn't a smile, saying :
I didn't try to cause him any harm, i was just checking his reflexes .
But his answer didn't convince her, instead it earned him a deep glare from her as she retorted, saying :
Checking his reflexes, you aimed for his neck what kind of reflexes test were you trying to conduct, the same one you made with sample number 19 from the previous batch, i know of your corrupt ways, so i will make this clear, you try to do any reckless thing like that again and i will report you directly to the doctor and have him deal with you, now get out .
He hid his malicious intent but i was able to still take a notice of it and raised both of his hands in resignation and said :
Alright, alright, Morinaga-san you win, but i will wait here for you to finish, just in case of something bad were to happen .
The woman just said hmph and didn't continue to talk to him, she turned to me with a smile and began to caress my head a bit carefully and tenderly, she then kept saying things like :
Who is the handsome boy, you are, you will be the most handsome guy once you grow up, but it's a pity .
She suddenly become a bit melancholic and sighed in the end of her words, but then she looked at my eyes and once again said cheerfully :
Don't worry, you have Meiko-onee chan here to protect you from that wretched guy's hands, she said and fiddled with my right cheek for a bit before she finally let go of me and begin to fiddle more with the capsule, i felt that the tiny bed under me suddenly become warmer and more softer for my body, i was thankful for her consideration, so i tried to smile at her but i was still unable to do so, even though my cheekbones kept twitching in try, i just couldn't smile not at all .
She messaged my small mouth and just give me a sweet smile and a nod as if she understood what i was trying to convey and she waved at me and i tried to wave back, but i was unable to do so for some reason, even though i was able to sit in the capsule on my own just fine, i wasn't able to raise my hand at all, i looked at her and nodded my head, his eyes lit brightly and she bid me farewell and left, leaving the wicked guy standing on the door, he said with an evil grin while looking at me :
In four or five years, you will be mine, no one will have a say of what i might do to you, as long as you stay alive, in 4 or 5 years, you will be in my care and i will be in yours, but take this as greeting gift, he said and directly left the room, i wondered what was the greeting gift he mentioned going to be, when i suddenly felt as if my mind was under a great shock, i felt a dangerous feeling in my heart, so i focused on my surroundings and was able to see Psions moving chaotically around me as if something was disturbing them, then i saw that waves upon waves were being launched from some kind of a stone which was installed inside the walls .
I was still nonchalant as before, since even if i felt discomfort for the very first time, i wasn't able to act or say anything about it, i was just about to resign myself to the fate, when suddenly a Psion wave appeared from me and i saw a black colored magic sequence filling all my sight then all the waves that were coming at me stopped the moment they came in the range of my black Psion wave, no it's more accurate to say they were devoured, i got even the sequence they consist of at least i knew it's purpose, a Psionic jamming sequence .
But as if that weird thing just now wasn't enough, i felt gas suddenly came out of the capsule, at the same moment that the black Psion wave disappeared, knocking me out, i have a one clear thought on my mind, i really hate that guy named Maglan .
