SOREN
Nina. She has this long black haired with straight cut bangs that made her look elegant and screams rich. She declared herself my rivals since we met in the Hollowed Valley - my home town in the North.
Admittedly she is the strongest, bewitchingly beautiful and genius - Nina…. Sanguine. I can't remember when the two of us meet properly. But one thing for sure is that she hates me in the beginning. I often have surprised fights with her. Like just seeing me is a curse. Didn't know when she started…..changing her attitude to me and started becoming my companion.
She is still looking at my eyes again like an obsession. Dilated pupil with a hint of playfulness of it. Every time she do this, I feel pressured. Like she is expecting something for me. Her sharp red eyes meeting mine, with a burning urge to pluck it out and study it - like my whole life. But….even though…she is more pitiful than I am.
"Where do you want to go, Nina?" I said, finally. Her red eyes are mesmerizing too, even if it lacks the sparks it used to have. Still it's pretty. "I am not in the mood to fight now though, I just want to get through the day." I said. Because I do really wanted to sleep in between periods. And she happens to get to know where I am.
"Hmmm…" She's thinking about where she would drag me this time.
"Sorry about that, you find me in one of my moods. And are you sure Mister Kwaku agreed, because I am taking that bait." I asked, leaning unto her hands. She's warm. And still looking at me like old times.
"Hmmm. Depends. Can't we go to your place? Well, if you don't want to fight right now, let's do something else." She said and winks at me. She let's go of my face and hold my hands and squeeze it. "You avoided me for months, that hurts you know."
"Really, since when did you grow a heart?" I said, earning a lopsided grin on her and she leans more closer to me.
"I always had one whenever with you." Nina said. "And I am hungry Soren." She said, like wanting me to take a hint. Her eyes never leaving mine. Like a predator who won't let go of her prey. Oh. Ohhhhh.
Well shit. I know that look. She is damn -
"Nina, don't tell me - are you.." I started feeling my cheeks burning. "Are you seriously horny right now?"
"Oh, I'm glad that you are not so dense like old times. It usually took you months to notice. Pretty good development for you, bravo." She said surprised, and clap her hands a little. I feel insulted. A bit. I changed.
"So, what are you gonna do If I am?" She said. Her face mere inches in mine. She smells like lavender. "You know, maybe it's because I got to see you again?" She asked laughing. "Wait.. is that why you are avoiding me?"
"O-of course not!" Maybe. She had too much energy. "You know that it's because of your sister." I said, and she seems surprised. Sometimes bringing up her up is a taboo to her.
"Sure it's not entirely me? And here I thought you find another cute girl besides me? You and your type Soren." She said, grinning. My mind immediately went to Selene. Dumb me. I hate my mind. I hate my stupid mind. "Is that why you rejected my sister's offer?"
"I got a cheap apartment with a cute girl on it. So what?" I said.
"She offered that dorm for free, you idiot." She said hitting my head. "If you had not even an ounce of saving, why did you reject it? For a cute girl, really? You had a lot of common sense in battle - but you are kind of stupid."
"Hey! I am not - just a bit but, that hurts you know. She even said that I'm cool. And mysterious. Plus I got a job." I remember Selene saying that at one point. I think. "... Look, I just hate your sister. " I said.
"Same sentiments but…." She said, while removing my gloves. She looks at me a bit seriously now. This woman and her validations. I sighed. After she removed the gloves, Nina traced the sigil in the back of my hand "I hope you did not forget."
"Of course, how could I forget. You almost killed me with this sigil." I said, smirking. "How could I forget the feeling of this burning flesh." Challenging her with the game she started from a long time ago. I am still competitive and I don't want to lose. Just for Nina.
"Even if I do find someone cute…. Fuck someone cute, date someone - whatever I do…..In the end, I'm always yours, Nina." I said, sliding my hands with her. I bring it near my face and kiss it.
She smiles.
Back in the day, I'm ecstatic pleasing her. Nina's attention were all for myself. A Sanguine's attention all for myself.
Not with the others but mine alone.
Today, it's just my competitive side that I want to win this.
Other days...….it's such a chore.
"Gooooood…girl! Keep barking like that, and I give you more rewards. After all, the only reason you are here is to -" She started, her gaze now at my lips.
"Shh..Just shut up Nina, and get what you come here for."
"My, my.. Why the sudden impatience.." She said her voice lowering. Her wants showing.
She tilted her head and slowly leans closer to me - as she'd done in hundred of times. She placed her hands on my face and traced my lips with her thumb. I bite it. Chuckling she removes it and murmurs how I am such a biter. She looks at me again filled with lust. Like a hundred of times before.
And then, she closed the gap.
I am surprised I still craved for lavender and chocolate milkshake like before huh.
