Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Bully Harry

Adrian left the blacksmith shop and headed straight for Guangyue Tavern.

After the battle with the Large Slime this morning, he had expended too much stamina and was already starving.

Before he even reached Guangyue Tavern, he saw from a distance that it was packed with people, with a long line even forming outside.

"What's going on?"

Adrian was a bit confused. Was Guangyue Tavern's business always this booming?

It was almost one in the afternoon, and there were still so many people queuing!

Adrian observed for a moment and found that most of the people eating in the tavern and those queuing outside were young men.

The people outside occasionally peered inside, as if searching for someone.

"Brother, is Guangyue Tavern on discount today? Why are there so many people?" Adrian walked to the very end of the line and patted the young man in front of him.

The person who was patted turned around and saw a shabbily dressed man standing behind him, a look of disgust on his face.

But quickly, he noticed the short sword at Adrian 's waist and immediately put on a smiling face.

"Big brother, the people who came to Guangyue Tavern today aren't here for food. They're here for two beauties!"

Adrian frowned slightly and repeated, "Two beauties?"

"That's right!"

The young man pointed at Guangyue Tavern, his face excited. "I don't know where Uncle Lunn found two women, but they're incredibly beautiful, and they even have black hair and black eyes—exotic beauties!

I've never seen women with black hair and black eyes in all my life. I don't even know what country they're from!

Huh, why do you also have black hair?"

As the young man spoke, he suddenly faltered.

Because he realized that the man in front of him, who looked a bit difficult to deal with, also seemed to have black hair and black eyes!

Adrian looked at the long line in front of him and said, speechless, "Just for this?"

He also had black hair. He had been moving around this town, where every hair color except black hair existed, for two days, so why hadn't he caused a sensation?

"In the end, all men are perverts!"

Adrian shook his head, preparing to leave and buy some black bread.

After all, given the situation, it would be another hour before he could eat.

But just as Adrian was about to leave, a commotion suddenly broke out in the tavern.

The patrons inside the tavern suddenly got up and rushed out, scrambling.

As they ran, they warned others, "The bully Harry is inside!"

The crowd queuing outside was initially confused, but after hearing this, they took off running.

In a moment, Guangyue Tavern, which had been packed with people, became deserted.

Adrian felt something was amiss. He had intended to leave, but then he remembered the two compatriots—at least, he'd consider them compatriots—working in the tavern.

"Let's go take a look!"

Adrian placed his right hand on the hilt of his sword and slowly walked over.

"Hahaha, two beauties, as long as you follow me, Harry, I guarantee you a life free of worries, and you won't have to be waitresses in this broken tavern anymore!"

"Stinky man, let go of me, let go of me!"

"Wuwu, Uncle Lunn, save us!"

As soon as Adrian entered the tavern, he heard the conversation inside.

Adrian scanned the area and found that the already small tavern was now a mess.

Overturned tables and chairs and spilled food and drinks were everywhere.

The table in the middle of the tavern was the only one not overturned, and five people with swords at their waists stood beside it.

One of them was less than 1.7 meters tall, with golden hair reaching his shoulders, a pointed mouth, monkey-like cheeks, a lewd smile on his face, and both hands grabbing a slender arm each.

The two women being held were, as expected, the exotic beauties who had attracted the men of the town to gather—Lia and Lora.

Lia was struggling to break free from the lewd man's grip, but his strength was greater than hers, and she couldn't break free at all.

Lora, on the other hand, was terrified, tears streaming down her face, as she turned to a middle-aged man kneeling on the ground, trembling, for help.

Adrian recognized the middle-aged man kneeling on the ground; he was Lunn, the owner of Guangyue Tavern!

The situation was clear at a glance.

The two women's extraordinary appearance had attracted the covetous gaze of ill-intentioned individuals, and since these bad guys were not ordinary people, it led to the current situation.

While Adrian was observing the situation inside the tavern, the people inside the tavern were also looking at Adrian with surprise.

Harry gave a look to one of the people beside him, who immediately kicked a stool at his feet towards Adrian , roaring fiercely, "Are you deaf? Didn't you hear Lord Harry just say this place is closed? Get out!"

Adrian shifted his gaze to the speaker, his information panel displayed clearly.

Name: Burton

Race: Human

Level: 3

Profession: Trainee Warrior

Skill: [Basic Swordsmanship]

Talent: None

Burton had ash-brown hair and a long face. He was 1.8 meters tall and his build was neither burly nor thin.

After all, he was a Level 3 Trainee Warrior.

Looking at the others, he found that, except for Harry, they were all Level 3 Trainee Warriors, and their skill was also [Basic Swordsmanship].

Harry's level was the highest among the five.

Name: Harry

Race: Human

Level: 4

Profession: Trainee Warrior

Skill: [Basic Swordsmanship], [Sweep]

Talent: None

Harry's level was the same as Adrian 's, and his profession, like his lackeys, was Trainee Warrior.

He had an extra skill: [Sweep].

Around the necks of all five men hung almost identical sword and blade insignias.

However, the distance was too far, and Adrian could not clearly see the sword and blade engraved on the insignia.

But it was clear that these five people were Professionals!

No wonder Uncle Lunn and the patrons of the tavern didn't dare to intervene; they were ordinary people, after all, how could they dare to go against Professionals?

Even Adrian was considering whether or not to offend them for the sake of the two women.

This was the first time Adrian had seen other Professionals since entering Gruer Town, besides the Guards and the Old Priest.

He was currently isolated and weak, still in the development stage, and he didn't know the other party's background, so he didn't want to cause trouble.

"Lord Harry, could I ask you to release these two girls? They are my friends!" Adrian hesitated for a moment, seeing the pleading looks from the two women, and still tentatively asked.

When the two women heard Adrian 's words, their faces showed a complex expression of joy and worry.

They had seen Adrian come in.

If it were a normal day, they would have been very happy—they had been praying in their hearts that Adrian was safe, wanting to thank him in person for luring away the Goblins.

But the current situation was somewhat special; even if Adrian got involved, he would likely only be beaten by Harry and the others.

Earlier, there had been a patron in the tavern who couldn't stand Harry's behavior and wanted to be a hero to save the beauties, but he was knocked down by Burton in two or three punches and then dragged out by the others.

Adrian wasn't very big, and he didn't look like he could be Burton's opponent at all!

Now that Adrian had spoken up for them, he would very likely be beaten by Burton.

"So you know me, kid!"

Harry laughed loudly when he heard Adrian 's words, but then his expression changed, and he said angrily, "Since you know Lord Harry is doing business here, how dare you cause trouble?"

When he first saw the short sword at Adrian 's waist, Harry was a little cautious, thinking the other party was also a Professional.

But then he observed that Adrian was dressed in rags, his hair was messy, like a pariah from the slums.

Moreover, he didn't have a professional insignia on him, which meant Adrian wasn't even a Professional!

He concluded that the other party wearing a weapon was just for show, not worth mentioning, so he ordered, "Burton, cripple one of his hands. Let's see if he dares to meddle in other people's business again!"

"As you command!"

Burton responded, rubbing his hands together as he walked towards Adrian , sneering, "Kid, don't think you can be a hero just because you carry a weapon. Lord Harry is not someone a country bumpkin like you can afford to offend."

With that, he reached out, intending to snatch the short sword from Adrian 's waist.

A short sword would cost at least seven or eight silver coins; if he snatched it and sold it, he could get a good amount of money.

He had done this kind of snatching many times while following Harry.

Not to mention country bumpkins like Adrian , even in Valkam, they had snatched from down-and-out Trainee Warriors who had chosen a profession and learned skills but were not accepted by Mercenary Corps or armies!

Without a background or strength, even if they were robbed, they could only endure it.

But clearly, he had picked the wrong target this time.

As Burton approached to snatch the short sword, Adrian raised his leg and delivered a kick, sending Burton flying. After knocking over several tables and chairs, he lay on the ground, clutching his stomach and wailing.
