Seeing Harry rush forward, Adrian calmly met the challenge.
"A Level 4 Trainee Warrior should have similar physical stats to me!"
Through his previous skirmishes with Tommy and the others, Adrian had a preliminary understanding of Trainee Warriors.
Harry was only one level higher than Tommy and the rest, so Adrian was confident he could handle him.
"Clang!"
Swords clashed, sending a few sparks flying.
Both pushed with all their might, trying to unbalance the other.
Logically, the training methods of Warriors meant their strength was among the greatest for Professionals of the same level.
But Harry was less than 1.7 meters tall, not particularly robust, and only a Trainee Warrior.
In their struggle, Adrian actually had a slight advantage!
"Bang!"
Kicking Harry back, Adrian reversed his grip on his sword and vigilantly watched Harry.
"Bastard!"
Harry looked down at the large footprint on his clothes, his lungs practically bursting with rage.
"Die, Sweep!"
Harry charged at Adrian , his greatsword sweeping horizontally at an incredibly fast speed.
After using [Sweep], Harry's blade was so fast it was almost invisible.
But Adrian hadn't relaxed his Guard since the fight began.
When he saw Harry's movements differ from before, Adrian guessed he was about to use a skill.
Without trying to block it, Adrian retreated with all his might to dodge.
Ultimately, the tip of Harry's blade narrowly grazed Adrian 's chest.
"I dodged it!"
Adrian breathed a sigh of relief, but the next moment, he felt a Sharp pain in his chest.
Looking down, he found a twenty-plus centimeter wound on his chest.
The wound wasn't deep, just a skin-deep cut, with blood flowing out.
"What happened?" Adrian frowned, he had clearly dodged the blade. "Is this a Warrior's skill?"
Harry was also startled to see Adrian dodge in time.
But seeing blood flow from Adrian 's chest, he started to laugh happily.
"Is [Sweep] something you can just dodge? The blade aura attached to the sword can cut your skin even from a distance! This is what happens when you anger me!"
"Good heavens!" Adrian looked up at Harry in surprise, thinking, "To actually explain it to the enemy, what does this guy rely on to still be alive?"
"Die!"
Harry gripped his longsword and charged forward again.
Adrian lowered his body, his gaze fixed on Harry's sword-wielding hand.
"Clang!"
Swords clashed once more.
But this time, Adrian didn't compete in strength with Harry.
The moment they collided, Adrian extended his left hand, aiming for Harry's sword-wielding right hand.
"[Acid Spray]!"
"Ah~!"
Harry's wailing screams echoed through the street.
His longsword dropped to the ground, and Harry shrieked incessantly, staring in horror at his bloody, mangled right hand.
Adrian took the opportunity to place his short sword against the other's neck.
Harry's face went pale, his screams stopped, and he repeatedly pleaded, "Calm down, Big Brother, calm down!"
Burton and the others in front of the tavern were stunned.
The situation on the scene had changed too quickly.
Just moments ago, Harry had wounded Adrian 's chest.
In the blink of an eye, Adrian 's short sword was at Harry's neck.
One should know that Harry had once used [Sweep] to instantly kill a Level 5 Trainee Warrior.
Who would have thought that someone not even wearing a Professional's emblem could injure Harry?
"Bastard, quickly release our lord!"
Burton and a few others anxiously stepped forward, pointing at Adrian and asking, "Do you know the identity of Lord Harry? Sharp Carr, the Captain of the Bloodscar Mercenary Group, ranked third in Valkam City's Mercenary Corps, is Lord Harry's brother! If you dare to harm Lord Harry, Lord Sharp will not let you off!"
Upon hearing this, Harry quickly nodded through the pain, "Right, right! My brother is a Level 10 Knight! If you hurt me, my brother won't let you off!"
He had been so scared just now that he forgot to invoke his brother's name.
"A Level 10 Knight, he really has backing!" Adrian sighed. He finally understood the reason for Harry's arrogance.
A Knight of such a high level was not someone Adrian could afford to provoke at the moment.
However, if he let Harry go like this, Adrian didn't believe the other party would be grateful to him.
"Given this person's character, there's a high probability he'll try something behind my back, or even directly ask his brother for help against me!"
Just as Adrian was getting a headache, two Guards in armor quickly ran from a distance, shouting from afar, "What are you doing? Fighting is forbidden in town!"
Harry saw the two Guards as if they were saviors.
"Help! Someone is trying to kill me!"
Seeing that the Guards had arrived, Adrian put away his sword.
Upon seeing this, Harry quickly distanced himself from Adrian , hiding behind Burton and the others.
"What happened?" One of the middle-aged Guards came before them, frowning as he asked, "Why are you fighting with weapons?"
Harry, the villain, made the first accusation, pointing at Adrian and shouting, "Guard, this lowlife wants to kill me! He's trying to kill someone in town, quickly arrest him!"
"Hmm?" Brook glanced at the injury on Harry's hand, a hint of disgust and surprise flashing in his eyes.
The disgust was for Harry, who caused trouble every time he came to town.
The surprise was that someone in Gruer Town could actually injure Harry?
Brook looked at the shabbily dressed Adrian , a little surprised, and asked, "Is that what happened?"
Adrian noticed Brook's disgust towards Harry, breathed a sigh of relief, and truthfully replied, "It's not! The truth is these people wanted to kill me; I was just acting in self-defense!"
"Nonsense!"
Harry jumped out and cursed, "You damned beast clearly injured me, and now you're biting back! Guard, quickly arrest him and hang him! Hang him!"
"Harry Carr!" Brook showed Harry no respect, his tone low, "The report I received was that you were bullying a woman!"
"How is that possible?"
Harry looked incredulous and retorted, "How could I do such a thing? Bring the person who reported it here; I'll confront them face-to-face. They must have mistaken me for someone else!"
"Confront them face-to-face!" Brook sneered, questioning, "Are you perhaps trying to retaliate against the person who reported it in private?"
"I..." Harry hadn't expected Brook to be so confrontational. Realizing this wasn't Valkam, his tone gradually weakened.
"Damn it, what bad luck! Then I'll go find the Priest."
"Wait!" Brook glanced at Lunn and the two black-haired women hiding behind the tavern door and said, "I'll go gather evidence first. None of you are allowed to leave until I return!"
Harry held up his right hand, his expression twisted, "Damn it, can't you see I'm injured?"
"Owen, go invite the Old Priest over to treat our Lord Harry!" Brook turned his head and instructed the other Guard, who was in his twenties.
"Alright!" Owen smiled at Harry and said, "Just bear with it for a bit, I'll be right back!"
Harry watched as one Guard went into the tavern to talk to Lunn, and the other turned and walked towards the church, he couldn't help but curse under his breath, "Those two bastards!"
Adrian watched the show with interest. Seeing Harry look over, he smiled and said, "It seems you're not very popular in this town!"
Those two Guards clearly had a bad impression of Harry and didn't give him any face.
"Damn it, they're just two mere Guards!"
Harry's lungs were practically bursting with rage at being ridiculed.
However, these were words he could only say to himself.
Anyone who could become a Guard was at least a Level 6 official Professional, not someone he could provoke.
Moreover, the Guards were part of Viscount Renault's army, the Border Guardians.
No matter how arrogant Harry was, he wouldn't dare to clash with the Guards; otherwise, his brother wouldn't be able to protect him.
