"Akira."
Hinasuke's eyes immediately muted when he felt it. That hum. He knew deep down it was Akira because he knew that feeling all too well.
Dacchi, still holding Hina's wrist in his grasp, glanced at the Big man, "Genju, Go to the main facility and call for a Rinta, now."
Genju, the big man still in between Hina's fist and Dacchi, hesitated, "Rinta? Is...is that really necessary —"
"Would you rather she came here?"
Dacchi's voice was eerily low. His voice barely ever got that way. Even Mai, who was grinning, snapped her eyes at Dacchi the moment he mentioned her. Her grin faltered, dagger shaking a little.
Genju cleared his throat and then, slowly, his body shrunk till on his head just barely scrapped the door and then he immediately left.
"Let me go. I need to go see her—"
"You're not going anywhere, Hinasuke." Dacchi said cooly, still glancing out the door, catching a glimpse of the other room. The room where Akira was being interrogated.
"Now..." Mai said, her eyes sliding back to meet Hina's again, "Shall we continue where we left off?"
Hina clenched his jaw. The hum made his skin crawl and he could still feel the thrumming of his heart, "Look, I don't know who the hell you think you are..." He said, gauntlet fizzling into nothing, "But for what it's worth, I'd be more than willing to tell you what we know, but only on one condition."
Dacchi let go of him, "Which is?"
Hina's eyes remained solely on Mai, "In exchange, you tell me who you are..."
"And what you know about what happened to my mother..."
{ Meanwhile }
In this room, the ground was cracked beneath them. The air was cold, so unbearably cold that breathing felt like ice to the lungs.
No words were exchanged since she broke the handcuffs.
No one moved a muscle since that question was asked and she replied with brute force. It was something they didn't expect, her anger, her rage...
...her bloodlust.
The triplets, Number 3, the blue haired one and the one who was clearly the strongest in the room, stood by the doorframe, hands behind his back as he watched his siblings talk.
Number 5, the shortest one, was the one standing just behind number 4, who sat on the chair and did the talking.
At least, she was talking before she asked the question she shouldn't have.
"Why bother going so far for someone so selfish?"
Since that question. Since she broke the handcuffs specifically to weaken Hybrids. Since the ground cracked, table shattered, cameras busted...not a single word was exchanged and yet...it wasn't out of fear. It was out of respect.
Soon, footsteps were heard as Genju knocked on the doorframe since the door had evaporated, "Uhm, Shikoku..."
The blue haired man glared over his shoulder, his glare nothing short of terrifying. It sent goosebumps around Genju's body, but he swallowed and spoke, "D-Dacchi said I should—"
"What did I tell you about casual speech, Mr Tonika?"
Genju's heart skipped a beat, his eyes shot wide as every hair on his body stood on end as he bowed down quickly, "M-My apologies, Master Shikoku, I-I didn't mean to, I swear it."
Shikoku, still not giving him his full view, glanced at Akira, who was still...staring at him.
"Speak, Mr Tonika, what brought you here?"
Genju looked up, his voice small, already too afraid to speak, but...
"Rinta. She's here—"
Immediately, the triplets reacted, Number 5, turned sharply over his shoulder, eyes wide and frantic, "She's what?!"
"You fool!" Number 4 said, her body already straightening up immediately as she moved to the door.
"Genju, you imbecile—" Shikoku barked, his body coiling with anger until...
"Hey. We're not done talking yet..."
That voice. So cold. So fragile. So gentle and yet...
...so filled with rage.
Shikoku was about to reply, but his eyes widened, his breath punched right out of his lungs.
Shorty and the girl, along with Genju all shared similar reactions as the lights exploded, leaving the room in darkness.
Well... except for the two purple orbs glaring back at Shikoku's soul, snatching anyone else's as collateral.
He'd...never seen anything like this. None of them did. And it wasn't just because of the fear creeping in.
But it was the fact that this facility was built to completely shut down the power of the Hybrids.
"W-What the hell is she?" The woman whispered beneath her breath, eyes glassy as this unfathomable dormant fear crept up her spine and crushed her lungs.
"She's...not human..." Shorty stumbled with his words, back against the wall.
"N-No... she's a demon..." Shikoku barely said.
"A Demon damned from Hell..."
