Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 - Fulfilling Ais’s Request

After shutting down Ais's overly enthusiastic idea, Tsuna led the three girls on a brief tour around the rest area. The massive treehouse had separate bath areas for men and women, giving the girls complete freedom to relax however they wanted.

There were plenty of rooms for resting—large, comfortable, and secure. Thanks to the special properties of this space, the sense of safety was absolute. Even more impressive, the interior had spacious storage areas for supplies, and the open fields outside were perfect for holding large quantities of materials.

A rest area that combined safety, comfort, and storage all in one—it was basically the holy grail for Dungeon expeditions.

Here, Adventurers could recover to their fullest, while reducing the burden of supply transport. During Dungeon raids, they'd be able to collect more Drop Items instead of leaving them behind. That meant huge economic gains for their Familia after every expedition.

When they finished the tour, Tiona turned to Tsuna with wide-eyed admiration.

"Rookie, your ability's amazing! You know, exploring the Dungeon used to be such a pain for us. It's not just resting—supply runs were a nightmare too! Especially when monsters suddenly spawned in bulk on a supposedly safe floor. We had no choice but to abandon tons of materials."

"Compared to supplies, life is obviously more important," Tsuna said. "Supplies are replaceable, but life isn't. Trading consumables for a one-time chance at survival is always worth it."

"You're right about that. Giving up supplies to save lives is the right call. But it's still rough," Tiona sighed. "There were so many times we'd finish a successful expedition, only for something like that to happen. It's frustrating! Every time we finally built some momentum, the Dungeon found a way to knock us back down."

Tsuna nodded slightly. "That's just how the Dungeon works."

"Huh?"

"The Dungeon's that kind of place," he explained. "Adventurers risk their lives chasing dreams—money, fame, power, love. All of it can be found in Orario. But to earn it, you have to face the Dungeon. Every failure teaches something. Every loss makes you stronger. That's how you've all grown, isn't it?"

"Ugh… when you put it that way, yeah, I guess you're right."

Tiona still looked unconvinced, but she couldn't deny his logic. The Dungeon was a merciless place filled with constant trials. If you dared to enter, you had to be ready to pay the price.

"Tiona," Tsuna said softly, "since that's how it is, you don't need to overthink it. What matters is that the problems you faced before? You won't have to face them again. Knowing that is enough."

"Oh~ you're saying some pretty cool stuff there, rookie."

The frustration faded from Tiona's face, replaced by her usual bright grin. Tsuna only shook his head slightly.

"Not really. Back where I come from, people who keep dwelling on the past usually end up depressed. So a lot of us learned how to self-adjust—to focus forward instead of backward."

Then he gave a small, helpless shrug. "That's what I say, anyway. Doesn't mean I'm good at it. Honestly, I'm just… a bit thick-skinned. Or to put it less nicely—carefree to the point of being heartless."

"Is that so?"

Tiona leaned in close, staring straight into his eyes. Her sky-blue gaze was sharp and sincere, not teasing like before.

"Rookie, you're not that kind of person. I can't explain why, it's just a feeling. But I like the way you think."

Her grin grew brighter, genuine. She wasn't someone who thought deeply about philosophy, but she knew when something felt right—and what Tsuna said earlier had struck a chord.

"With your help this time, I think our Dungeon expedition's gonna go way smoother than usual. We'll be able to fight at our best."

"So basically," Tsuna said with a small smile, "this rest area passes inspection?"

"Of course! It's perfect—safe, comfy, totally checks every box. Soft beds, clean bathwater… there's no better resting place in the whole Dungeon!"

Her exaggerated tone actually earned nods from both Tione and Ais.

"Yeah," Tione agreed. "Given how dangerous the Dungeon is, this place is practically heaven."

"Mhm. If it also had a training area, it'd be even better."

Still with that, huh. Both sisters glanced over at Ais.

Her fixation on strength hadn't budged an inch. Ais was staring at Tsuna with that same eager look, clearly expecting something. From their earlier talk, she already knew he could make her wish come true.

"Hm… if it's not about combat experience, just pure physical training, then that's not too hard," Tsuna said. "You usually train by fighting monsters in the Dungeon, right? That's how you raise your Status. But the higher your level, the stronger the monsters you need to keep improving."

Ais nodded quickly. "Yeah."

"What level are you at now?"

"Level 5."

"No wonder," Tsuna said with a thoughtful hum. "At that stage, fighting weak monsters won't push your body anymore. You're not hitting your limits, so your Status won't grow much."

He filed that detail away mentally—he hadn't realized Ais was already that high-level.

"The Falna grows fastest when you push yourself to the extreme," he continued. "If your body never reaches that point, you won't improve efficiently. So… how about using external force to simulate that strain?"

Tsuna lifted his hand, and a pair of sleek black metal bracelets materialized in his palm. He held them out toward her.

"These are Gravity Bracelets. You can adjust the gravity multiplier with these outer buttons. Wear them, and your body will get heavier by the set amount. They should fit exactly what you're looking for."

"Oh!"

Ais's eyes lit up instantly. She didn't fully understand what "gravity" meant—but she did understand that this thing would help her train.
