Tyler POV:
There was a long pause before I heard her footsteps shuffle towards the door. Finally, the door creaked open just enough for me to see her face. She looked at me, her eyes red and puffy from crying, and something in my chest tightened.
I shouldn't have threatened her. I shouldn't have used those words. But all I wanted was for her to open up to me.
She didn't say anything. She just stood there, looking at me. And for a moment, I wished that I could take back everything that had just happened. I wished I could make things right for her. For both of us.
I leaned casually against the doorframe, trying to keep the mood light, despite the tension still hanging in the air. Raven's eyes were sharp, like daggers aimed straight at me.
"Aren't you going to invite me in?" I asked, flashing her a playful smile, hoping to ease the pressure.
