It's easy for people to condemn me, to label me as the villain of this story, but none of them were there. None of them saw what I saw, felt what I felt. They have no right to call me wicked or evil because they don't understand the depths of the hell I've lived through. They didn't have to watch my mother, the woman who loved my father with all her heart, broken time and time again. No one else had to hide in the shadows, trembling in fear as their family was torn apart by betrayal and humiliation.
They didn't feel the suffocating weight of helplessness as my mother cried behind closed doors. They weren't the ones forced to watch their mother wither away, humiliated and broken, time and time again, by the woman who had no business in our lives.
