XAVIER POV:
The bathroom door slammed shut behind me as I stood there, fists clenched, heart hammering in my chest. Raven. Why the hell did she have to walk in on us? Why couldn't she just leave us alone for once?
I had finally cornered Alex, had her where I wanted her. She was mine—her lips, her body, her warmth—it was all mine. Finally. We were on the brink of something, of talking about us—about how we felt—and then Raven had to ruin it.
I growled low, pacing back and forth in the confined space, the anger bubbling up inside me. Why couldn't she just go away? I had been pushing for Alex, damn it! But there she was, getting in my way at every turn. Not to mention, the way she smelled—her scent—it was enough to make me sick. Every damn time. She had this ability to ruin anything remotely close to normal, and I had had enough. Enough of her.
