I was shocked and stared at him then back at the demon king who paused. Maybe this could work after all. I nodded too, supporting my father's words.

The demon king smiled then. "What good taste you have, there's a reason why we belong to each other after all. I'm into women too."

The roles between her and Vaelory were reversed now because Vaelory grinned widely.


"What do you need to kill him, Your Highness?" Vaelory asked me.


"Are you okay?" Rin asked Vaelory, then turned to me. "You can't kill the demon king."


"Watch me," I told her as I stood up from the chair, but she and Morthen blocked my path.


"My lady, be calm. Think this through," Morthen said calmly.


"That's highly debatable, my lady," Rin told me. "You can't kill the demon king. He's the only archdemon in the realm and the strongest demon to ever exist. No one has ever fought him and lived to tell the tale."


"My story will be different then because Zorathys will be the one not living to tell the tale," I told her and tried to move, but they blocked my path again.


"Just let Her Highness move," Vaelory muttered with an eyeroll.
