Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: Securing a house

"What a pain,"

I honestly used every trick I could possibly think of to try and get as much money as possible, but even after threatening to cancel the deal several times they wouldn't just budge. I could only manage to push it up by 50 million. Seriously… Even If I'm the one ripping them off they really are hardcore money grubbers.

I'm sure the jackass is laughing his pants off, thinking he's secured a deal of a lifetime. Only if he knew by now he was practically giving me free money.

"Guess we can't all be winners"

There's no way this would be anywhere enough for what I have planned out. I'd probably have to start cutting a lot of corners, maybe even on food. Sigh, This isn't really turning out like I expected. If only I had more assets to get more loans out of. Tsk, I should have left that guy and try my luck at a better place. Wait a minute I'm I stupid if I don't have more assets why don't I get more loans.

"How would you be interested in a little business"

"Holy shit—"

As expected since they are doing business with a kid and trying their hardest to rip him off, after finding the deal of a lifetime they wouldn't bother to do deep, thorough research and willingly accepted to give me money.

"Nice doing business with you, please send your parents my condolences"

"Thank you sir, I'll be sure to repay this debt"

Alright off to the next money pot.

Throughout the day, I visited about eight different offices and spent quite a lot of effort getting them to hand over their wallets. Have been at it for quite a while. It's already dark out, guess that's enough for today.

"I'm exhausted"

Taking people's money is certainly not an easy task. I don't even have the strength to eat dinner. Whatever, I should probably have enough money now. I can figure out the rest tomorrow.

"It's still early"

By the time I woke up the sun had yet to rise, strangely I felt pretty relieved, it was hard to tell whether my body had gotten a good rest with a short nap or my mind was just eager to spend money but I'll take it as the latter half.

"Screw it"

Even laying still for so long ain't making me fall back asleep.

"Sigh, might as well give in and start planning out what to do with the funds"

Let's see, turns out I happened to raise a little over 1.2 billion with all those deals. Not bad. While it's impressive and certainly a large sum, and possibly an unrealistic amount for a teen to fathom. It still falls out a little short, from what I expected. I thought I probably made more. Either way, it should be more than enough to get started with things.

It's best to always create a budget, to at least not get carried away with spending too much. So I probably would have to set aside a little just in case some unfortunate event arises. Hmm, that shouldn't be too much trouble. With that in mind, it made sense to deposit two hundred million in crypto for now. If my memory serves right, Bitcoin is going to have a massive surge throughout this week. Leaving me now, with a billion to work with.

Alright, my first course of action would probably be home renovation. I needed the best quality with the least time. Not that I can do anything at the moment.

"Sigh, what to do in the meantime?"

After a couple hours in complete boredom the sun finally began rising. It feels like time becomes slower the more you focus on it. Well now that places are finally opening up. Guess I'll get going then.

"I was getting sick of doing nothing"

Like I said before getting the house renovated was my top priority so right now, I needed top of the line engineers that can remodel a normal house to a literal doomsday apocalypse shelter, and I needed it done in record time. With that being said there's only one place in the country that can handle a task like that, which brings me now to my current destination, the Express Industry.

"Hello there, I'd like to commission a project"

"Is that so, and what kind of project would that be?"

A kid?

"Hmm it's a little hard to explain, it would probably be much easier and faster for the both of us if a professional were here. So can I speak to a lead manager"

A lead manager? I've been running the counter for years, this's the first time someone's actually requesting a lead manager from the front desk. Who does this brat think he is bugging me with such an absurd request.

"I'm sorry kid but our managers have a lot of work on their hands, so if you can just list what you want worked on. I'll be sure process it through the system and get it to them"

Does he not get how an organization works? Play it cool, he's still a paying customer after all. You've handled much worse. Man the things I would do for this job.

"I don't think you quite understand how essential it is that I speak to a professional"

Okay now this kid is just ticking me off.

"No I don't think you quite understand! Our Managers have several projects coming from dozens of different people all day. So get it in your little brain they can't quite visit every client they ge-"

Hold up!… Is that an actual gold credit card!? It can't be seriously real that should allow the purchase of over 500 million. What kind of wealth does he have to own such a thing!?

"While they're busy, I think one of best managers can adjust his schedule a little considering how important your project should be"

"I would much appreciate that"

Well It's a good thing I branched over at the bank before coming here. Figured it would be a much easier way to resolve arguments like this. The amount of questions and paperwork to get it were seriously no joke, but looks like it's certainly worth the hassle.
