Chapter 102: Enough Is Enough
Even though the Ministry did not control the Daily Prophet, those working in that news department, especially the editors did not dare to claim that You-Know-Who had returned.
Why? Because they were terrified of becoming targets, either of the Death Eaters or of the Dark Lord himself, for being the first to announce his return.
So instead, they simply quoted the words of Cornelius Fudge during his press conference.
"THE DEMENTORS ACTED ON THEIR OWN AND ATTACKED MUGGLES!!"
"WIZARDS ARE ADVISED TO LEARN THE PATRONUS CHARM!"
Dudley felt the veins in his forehead bulge with anger, and it did not help that his next class was Defence Against the Dark Arts. Sitting across the room, Lucius Malfoy smirked openly, clearly pleased by the thought of Muggles being kissed by Dementors.
Fortunately, Dudley Gamer Mode allowed him to shift his expression into a perfect poker face, hiding every trace of his fury.
After that class, he was free for the rest of the afternoon until Astronomy at night. He retreated to the Room of Requirement, alone, where he reviewed his newly updated stats from the system latest reward:
Transfiguration – SS
Charm – SS
Alchemy – SSS
Defence Against the Dark Arts – SSS
Potions – SSS
Runes – SSS
Wandless Magic – SSS+
Author's Note: These stats is a reward Dudley get during timeskip period.
"I think this is enough," muttered Dudley. "Time to hunt."
Activating Gamer Mode, he entered the Edit Character feature:
Nose > Noseless
Thick Hair > Bald
Healthy Skin > Unhealthy Skin
Tall > Slightly Shorter
Done. He had transformed into Voldemort himself.
He called Kreacher, who nearly fainted when he saw his master new form.
Kreacher eyes widened in horror, his breathing quickened, and for a moment he seemed on the verge of a panic attack.
"Relax, it's me...Dudley," the boy reassured him.
Hearing his master voice, Kreacher calmed down slightly, though doubt lingered in his eyes.
"Is it really you, Master Dudley?" he asked again, hesitantly.
"Yes. Did we not just destroy the locket together?" Dudley replied, giving confirmation even though Kreacher had not asked.
The house-elf let out a sigh of relief. Then, curiosity took over.
"How did Master turn into the Dark Lord?"
"I am a Metamorphmagus," Dudley explained.
"I am sorry, Master. I did not know," Kreacher said quickly, feeling guilty for not knowing his master ability.
"It's fine. Now look at me. Do I look exactly like him?" Dudley asked.
"Yes, Master... except for the voice," Kreacher answered truthfully.
"Voice?" Dudley rubbed his chin. Then he re-entered Edit Character and, with Kreacher help, tested several voice options. After fifteen attempts, he finally nailed the perfect Voldemort impression.
"May I ask, Master, why you are posing as him?" Kreacher ventured.
"I intend to go to the Ministry and show the world that the Wanky Lord has returned. With this disguise, they will have no choice but to accept the truth," Dudley replied with a sly grin.
"Master is brilliant. Can Kreacher assist in some way?" the elf asked eagerly.
"You already helped me by pointing out the flaw in my voice. This time, I will go alone. It will be easier for me to escape if things go wrong," said Dudley.
"Very well, Master," Kreacher replied.
---The Attack Began---
Dudley wore a black hood, the special dark effect he had unlocked from Hogwarts Legacy.
The hood carried a 3D illusion of skeletons crawling and shifting across the fabric, giving it an eerie and menacing presence.
Even though he had the system, it was still impossible to Apparate directly out of Hogwarts.
So instead, he used a custom Floo Network he had built from Hogwarts Legacy.
This Floo Network operated on different channels with layered spells to prevent intruders from entering or escaping. Anyone wanting to counter it needed to analyze the runes first before creating the proper countermeasure.
Five minutes later, Dudley successfully entered the Ministry without informing anyone.
"Use my points to upgrade the map," Dudley commanded the system.
The map began to shift. Now it could be used inside the Ministry as well.
"Upgrade again. I want the map to differentiate between ordinary enemies and Death Eaters," he ordered.
[2 Points have been consumed.]
[Max-level Map unlocked.]
The minimap now displayed different colors. Previously, all enemies were marked red. This time, some red dots carried a skull icon. Dudley immediately realized those represented Death Eaters.
He then activated the pointer, which projected a holographic arrow in front of him, like a car's HUD display, showing the location of the orb.
"The hunt begins," Dudley-mort announced darkly.
He flew... literally flew... leaving trails of dark smoke swirling behind him as he moved toward the orb location.
Panic spread. People screamed, and some immediately sent Patronuses to alert the Auror Department.
"Stop!" several Aurors shouted.
Dudley deactivated Gamer Mode, stepping closer to deliver his performance.
"YOU DARE TRY TO STOP LORD VOLDEMORT? HAHAHAHAHAHA!" he bellowed, imitating Voldemort sinister tone.
He unleashed several explosive spells, blasting the area around the Aurors. They were injured but not fatally, he made sure his attacks didn't destroy organs or sever limbs.
When he reactivated Gamer Mode, he saw many red dots surrounding him, but two of them carried the skull mark.
Another squad of Aurors arrived, and within them stood two Death Eaters, Corban Yaxley and Augustus Rookwood, the Unspeakable.
Again, they demanded Voldemort surrender. Dudley seized the chance to cut Gamer Mode off and on, ensuring everyone could hear him.
"YAXLEY! ROOKWOOD! HOW DARE YOU ATTACK YOUR MASTER? DO YOU THINK I WOULD NOT RETURN?" he thundered them with question.
Yaxley and Rookwood froze, then exchanged a quick glance. They knew this was a fake. The real Voldemort had met them earlier that morning.
Without hesitation, both raised their wands and shouted, Avada Kedavra!
In Gamer Mode, Dudley easily tracked the twin attacks. Two red circles appeared, showing their trajectories. He dodged in a swift blur and retaliated with his own Avada Kedavra.
Both Yaxley and Rookwood collapsed lifelessly.
Gasps and screams erupted. The other Aurors, shocked and terrified, unleashed a barrage of spells.
But Dudley, armed with mastery, reflexes, and game-assisted precision, dodged, reflected, and countered their every move with ease.
"We need to call Professor Dumbledore!" one Auror shouted desperately.
