Chapter 101: Time Skip

It had been three months since they returned to school, and during that time many things had taken place that shook both the Ministry and Hogwarts alike. The wizarding world was no longer at ease. Rumors spread quickly and whispers filled the people about Fudge incompetent and they suspected he most likely are a death eater.

More and more people especially those who had child on Hogwarts, who had joined Dumbledore army, are given permission by Dudley to tell their parents about Harry memory which they all have seen inside pensieve.

After that, someone in Ministry suggested to do a vote of no confidence against Cornelius Fudge. The wizarding public, or at least those within the Wizengamot, had grown tired of his incompetence and his constant denial of the truth. For a moment, it looked as though his downfall was inevitable.

Yet, through sheer luck and the influence of those who served dark lord, Fudge managed to cling to power. He survived by a margin of only two votes and many suspected the outcome was not the result of honest politics but of heavy purses being exchanged in secret. The Death Eaters still required him as Minister of Magic because he was too coward, too blind and too eager to preserve his position to ever admit that their enemy, Dark Lord had returned.

While the Ministry wavered under the strain, life in Hogwarts carried on, though it was not without its own tension. Professor Lucius Malfoy, for some reason are trying to cross the limit he not dare to touch before, he began openly docking points from Harry Potter and others without mercy, seeking every chance to humiliate them in front of their peers.

It was his way of reminding everyone where true power rested. Yet even he dared not push too far. He had not yet called Harry Potter or any other Muggle-born into his office for harsher punishments, knowing well that to cross such a line would draw the attention of Albus Dumbledore himself. Lucius played a dangerous game, testing boundaries, but stopping just short before he walk to the path of no return.

Back in London, the fragile grip that Fudge held on the Ministry weakened with every passing week. His enemies circled like wolves and his allies were few. One mistake, one reckless decision and his career would collapse in disgrace. He remained Minister in name, but in reality, his authority was hanging by a thread.

Meanwhile, within the walls of Hogwarts, something was taking shape. The extra classes held by Dumbledore Army had grown into a something unimaginable. What began as a secret class led by Dudley had transformed into a training ground where students honed themselves into true fighters.

They learned tactical formations, how three could overpower one, how two could coordinate against a single opponent, how to face an enemy alone and even how to stand against many. It was no longer merely about defense, it was about preparation for war.

The results were undeniable. Students who had once been timid now stood with confidence, wands steady in their hands. Those who were slightly overweight became lean and strong, their bodies hardened by drills and sparring. The Dumbledore Army was no longer just a group of children playing at rebellion. They were becoming warriors, each one prepared for the inevitable storm that was drawing nearer with every day.

Dudley also trained them to ride horse while attacking the target, swimming while fighting the enemy. Every class is full of adventure that the student themselves felt it is pity to stop there, every week they are waiting for weekend. Even those who had permission to go to hogsmeade cancelled it because they feel they are wasting their time to go to that place.

Meanwhile Dudley himself had grown so much stronger, he had won many rewards from the game system. From transfiguration, defence against the dark arts, mastery of Rune you can imagine after return to hogwarts his level in game are 69 and now his level are 99 and just a few moments ago he win something unimaginable from the game system.

It was a record of magic.... yes, the very same magical book that kept track of people born with magic.

If Dudley was not mistaken, there was only one book inside Hogwarts, while the other was connected directly to the Ministry once a student had accepted their letter.

When he took a look, he noticed that just ten kilometers from Privet Drive, there was a ten-year-old wizard living in an orphanage.

If things came to the worst, he would simply gather those young wizards and migrate to another country... perhaps somewhere in Asia. The currency exchange rate there was at least five times cheaper, meaning the cost of living would also be drastically reduced. Just imagine, one British pound was worth five times more. He could cut costs easily in such a place.

But did ASEAN countries even have schools of magic? Maybe yes, maybe no. So far, he had only found confirmed records in the West and in larger countries like China. To know the truth, he would have to travel and investigate for himself.

---The Attack Of Dementor---

Suddenly, Dudley phoenix dropped a newspaper from the Muggle world at his feet.

The headline reported that a group of people had suffered sudden strokes caused by an unexplained poisonous gas. Dudley studied the photograph closely and immediately recognized the vacant expressions, the same state as those who had been kissed by Dementors.

Victims of a Dementor Kiss displayed symptoms similar to a stroke. The attack was irreversible and even with his system, Dudley had not discovered a cure.

The victim remained alive, but they lost all the mobility functions. When a Dementor kissed, it did not just steal something, it deprived the brain of vital energy, cutting off oxygen and leaving permanent damage, in simple term full stroke. Eventually, when the body could no longer endure, the victim would most likely die due to complication.

There was not a single potion that could repair such damage, not even with the strongest magic.

It was far worse if the victim was a wizard. A Dementor did not simply freezed their brain, it also absorbed their magic.

Rumors said they consumed the soul, but Dudley knew that was false. A body without a soul could not survive. Even the game system agreed with him, rewarding him for uncovering this truth.

Then, another newspaper fell into his lap. This time, Dudley had had enough.

"I will do something," he muttered angrily.

p/s: I feel excited to write next plot, it had been on my brain for a few months but because Dudley still weak at that time so I postponed it.
