Chapter 87: Rizz
"Oh, my sweetheart, I missed you so much!" said Petunia as she pulled Dudley into a tight hug.
"Welcome back, Dudley. You look great, just like me, your father," said Vernon proudly, admiring his son.
Dudley height had increased, thanks to the character-editing feature of the system. Not only that, but he had also lost a significant amount of weight and now looked quite handsome. Even if Tom Riddle or Sirius Black were standing beside him, Dudley would still be the more handsome of the three.
Although his appearance had changed drastically, Dudley had kept certain features the same with his parents, like his nose, which resembled Vernon. Because of this, anyone who looked at Dudley would immediately recognize him as the son of Vernon and Petunia Dursley.
One glance was all it took to see the family resemblance.
"Dad, your weight… you look slim now," said Dudley with surprise.
"Hahaha, of course! I lost 30 kilograms," replied Vernon proudly. "But son, how did you lose more weight than me?"
Dudley smirked. "Want to know the secret?"
"There's a secret?" asked Vernon, leaning in curiously.
"Let's go back first. Remember the Statute of Secrecy," Dudley whispered, glancing around cautiously.
Hearing that, Vernon immediately stiffened and nodded. "Right… okay, son."
From behind, Susan walked alongside Harry, both of them watching the Dursley family interaction. They could only click their tongues and exchange amused looks at how dramatic and affectionate the Dursleys were.
"Harry."
"Susan."
A pair of familiar voices called out to them and the two turned to see Sirius Black and Amelia Bones approaching together.
Susan immediately ran to hug her aunt, while Harry simply smiled and walked over to Sirius. They saw each other almost every day at Hogwarts, so there was no need for emotional greetings like Susan.
---Privet Drive, Im Back---
Thud! Dudley closed the door of the Range Rover with a satisfied grin on his face.
Amelia Bones, Susan Bones, and Sirius Black had been invited to ride with him in the luxury car. The Dursley family had become one of the few rich people in British, if not because of the wards that protected their house. They would move from this privet drive and stay in the villa.
Thanks to the knowledge he had brought from the modern world, Dudley had guided his father into making clever business investments and launching a profitable venture. Within a few months, the Dursley family had gone from average middle-class to impressively wealthy family. As a result, they have now own two more luxury car, the first car is a British-made Range Rover and a sleek Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W140 generation), a symbol of German car.
Even more surprising than the financial growth was how the family had changed their views on magic. Vernon and Petunia, once hostile and allergic to anything related to magic, had grown far more accepting to the magic.
The turning point came when Amelia Bones personally promised to lend them Mipsy, her house-elf, for a few months to help with chores, in exchange, Dudley allowed Susan and her to stay in his house free of rent and can stay anytime.
Meanwhile Kreacher, had been persuaded by Dudley himself, agreed to take care of the Dursleys. In return, he was promised the honor of destroying the cursed locket, a task tied to his old master, Regulus Black. The only condition? Kreacher cannot use foul mouth, make sure to listen to his parents and treat them like he treat Regulus Black.
Dobby, on the other hand, was ecstatic. Every time he Apparated back to Privet Drive, his large green eyes sparkled with excitement. To think that this was the house where The Great Harry Potter had once lived, it was an honorable for him to treat him.
Magic had made their lives easier. With a mere flick of wand or snap a finger or a whisper of incantation, even the greasiest kitchen floors become clean, not even a dust can be seen.
Under Dudley gentle encouragement and training, the house-elves had taken better care of themselves. They bathed regularly and transfigured their ragged clothes into sharp black tuxedos, looking almost like magical butlers out of a film.
Dudley stood proudly in front of his home, then he turned toward Susan Bones, who was just stepping out of the car, her face catching the evening sunlight.
"We should get married, Susan," Dudley said suddenly, his voice loud and firm.
A hush fell over the group. Everyone turned to look at him in disbelief.
Vernon was the first to react. He puffed out his chest with pride. Petunia blinked, then smiled with misty eyes, realizing just how grown up her son had become. Amelia Bones looked utterly shocked, so shocked, in fact, that she immediately rounded on Sirius.
"Are you the one who taught him to flirt with my niece?!"
Sirius grinned, unfazed by the accusation. "Nope. He's a natural."
Before Amelia could hex him into next week, Sirius added with a wink, "Honestly, I think he's got real feelings for your daughter."
Amelia looked torn between hexing Sirius or Dudley, or perhaps both.
Meanwhile, Harry watched the entire exchange with an unreadable expression. Unlike Dudley, he still seemed a little behind when it came to matters of romance and awkward emotions.
Susan, on the other hand, didn't even flinch. She had grown used to Dudley antics. Over the past year, he had teased and flirted with her so often that she had developed a resistance. At this point, she was bulletproof.
"Don't tease a young woman like that, Dudley," said Amelia with a stern expression.
"Who said I was teasing? I'm telling the truth," Dudley replied, lifting his hand solemnly as if swearing an oath.
"Aunt, let him be," Susan interjected, rolling her eyes. "He's still not mature enough to understand what he's saying."
Harry, Susan, and Amelia entered the house, leaving Dudley standing outside with Sirius and his parents.
Dudley turned to Vernon and Petunia, frowning slightly. "Why doesn't she believe me?"
His parents shared a look and simply shook their heads.
"You've got a lot to learn, my boy," Vernon said, patting him on the shoulder like a seasoned mentor ready to pass on his wisdom.
"It's all right, sweetheart," Petunia added with a warm smile. "These things take time."
Sirius, who had been silent for a moment, finally chimed in with a smirk. "Your rizz just isn't strong enough yet, kid."
Dudley blinked. "My what?"
"Your charm. Your game. Your ability to impress the lady," Sirius said, laughing as he strolled inside.
Dudley stood there, scratching his head, unsure whether to be offended or take it as a challenge.
