Chapter 223 - Chapter 49: Hostage-Taking

Wang Zhi exited the City Lord's Palace, having basically grasped the current situation.

He held an ace card belonging to the N Organization in his hand. This ace card was a double-edged sword; it might lead to the N Organization's success, or it might threaten the N Organization.

Wang Zhi's only current concern was the mole. If the mole recognized him, then the N Organization would confirm he was still alive and would subsequently increase their efforts, perhaps even going to great lengths to find him.

However, with the World being so vast, how easy would it be for them to find him? He still had time, but not much. He was no longer as distracted as before; he clearly knew what he needed to do now: he had to continue becoming stronger, break through his limits, and try his best not to fall into a predicament!

Wang Zhi and the other person returned to the training ground and walked over to Su Muying's side.

"What? Still want to fight?" Su Muying asked, raising an eyebrow when she saw Wang Zhi approach her.

"Mm... I want to ask for a few more pointers," Wang Zhi said, his face flushed.

"Heh, let's agree first, no getting seriously angry," Su Muying said with a hint of mockery.

"No, no..." Wang Zhi scratched his head.

"I can teach you the techniques, but whether you can learn them depends on your comprehension," Su muying said, then moved to the side.

"Good! My comprehension is superb."

"Well... let's start with this issue of speed. Merely having enough strength is not enough; this requires coordinating the body's explosive power, achieving full body synchronization, having a strong enough purpose, and then shifting position!" As Su Muying finished speaking, her aura sank, and in the blink of an eye, she was in front of Wang Zhi again, grasping his neck.

Wang Zhi subconsciously tried to defend himself, but he realized that before he could even fully raise his hand, his life was already in Su Muying's hands.

"Have you comprehended it?' Su Muying asked.

"Ah... huh? That's it?" Wang Zhi looked confused; how was he supposed to comprehend that?

"Didn't you say your comprehension was very high?"

"No, are you sure you aren't making things difficult for me?"

"There's nothing difficult about this; it fundamentally depends on personal insight, constantly comprehending it through training and actual combat."

"I didn't think you were this strong before? Did you only just comprehend this recently too?" Wang Zhi asked.

"I was just restricted. Without those restrictions, I told you, one day I will teach that Yellow Hair woman a lesson." Su Muying said proudly.

Wang Zhi could only offer a dry smile upon hearing Su Muying's words. Although he didn't know when this "day" would come, he couldn't figure out why Su Muying was so determined to give Jie Xi a hard time.

"Then should I first try to comprehend what you just mentioned?" Wang Zhi asked.

"Comprehend it, but it's best if you train first. Don't go looking for a one-on-one fight with Old He and the others; you're terrible,' Su Muying said before leaving, not forgetting to mock him again.

Wang Zhi wondered why Su Muying kept mocking him lately. 'Am I weaker than her? Can I not even beat Fatty and the others?'

Thinking this, Wang Zhi spoke into the radio: "Fatty, Qin Sheng, um... and Jia Liuli, come over here for a moment."

"Do we need to come over?" You Luo asked with a smile.

Hearing You Luo's words, he felt provoked again. It was one thing for Ying to mock him, but how dare You Luo mock him too?

"Sure, we're not busy anyway," Wang Zhi replied.

After Wang Zhi finished speaking, he saw several people walking over from a distance.

"Haha, Wang Zhi, let's agree first: fighting is fine, but we can't get carried away," You Luo said as soon as she arrived.

"Can you guys just forget about that incident? My neck still hurts," Wang Zhi said, touching his neck.

"Alright, alright, enough chatter. Let's start quickly," You Luo waved her hand, seemingly very eager to punch Wang Zhi.

Wang Zhi recalled the techniques Su Muying had taught him, beckoned to You Luo, signaling the start.

Wang Zhi initially chose a more conservative approach, attacking defensively. However, You Luo's fighting style was something Wang Zhi could handle; unlike Ying, she wasn't fiercely aggressive, but first used probing feints to test him. Just as Wang Zhi was looking for an opening to counterattack, one of You Luo's moves suddenly became real, landing a punch squarely in Wang Zhi's stomach. Wang Zhi didn't even have time to savor the pain before immediately breaking free from You Luo's close range, causing her follow-up attack to miss.

"Not a bad reaction. Be more careful next time," You Luo praised after creating distance.

Wang Zhi ignored You Luo's words, focusing all his attention on her movements. This time, he intended to take the offensive.

The two gradually closed the distance. Wang Zhi, mimicking Su Muying's advice, tensed every muscle, fixed on a direction, and lunged to You Luo's side. To ensure a hit, Wang Zhi used a feint for his first move as well, but in front of You Luo, who was adept at using feints, Wang Zhi's little trick was easily seen through. His seemingly fierce strike was not dodged; instead, she raised her hand to block it. Wang Zhi was about to follow up with another attack, but that previous move had already exposed an opening.

Bang!

Another hook punch landed squarely on Wang Zhi's stomach, and this time Wang Zhi didn't have the strength to break free.

Thud! With an over-the-shoulder throw, You Luo slammed Wang Zhi heavily onto the ground.

"Stop!" Seeing that she had no intention of holding back, Wang Zhi immediately shouted.

Hearing Wang Zhi call a halt, You Luo's fist froze in mid-air.

"Hmph... you're quick enough to call a stop," You Luo said as she stood up.

Wang Zhi got up, ignoring You Luo's sarcasm, and continued to have Fatty and the others take turns fighting him.

After defeating Fatty and Qin Sheng, he moved over to Jia Liuli.

Without the advantage of her blades, Jia Liuli struggled severely in close-quarters combat. Wang Zhi merely sparred a few moves before tripping her to the ground.

"Is Captain Wang going completely berserk? He's not even letting Sister Liuli go," Fatty said to Qin Sheng from the side while rubbing his waist.

"Captain seems highly motivated. It looks like we should also redouble our efforts," Qin Sheng replied.

"Cut it out. That's not 'redoubling,' that's playing for our lives," Fatty retorted.

...

That evening, everyone was rubbing liniment on their bruises downstairs. Brought together by Wang Zhi, they had been sparring with each other, and even if they won, they inevitably sustained injuries.

"By the way, Captain Wang, are we going to keep beating each other up like this every day from now on?" Fatty asked somewhat wearily.

"Sparring is the only real measure. From now on, our enemies will be humans," Wang Zhi stated.

"Right, and what was the result?" Old He inquired.

"As expected, the N Organization desperately needs what I carry within me...." Wang Zhi recounted his dealings at the City Lord's Palace to the group.

"You're kidding! Your parents were both members of the N Organization?" Fatty exclaimed in shock.

"That's what the Tower Master told me, and because of that, they spared my life. I had originally violated their rules there and witnessed the things they were doing in secret; they intended to eliminate me. In the end, my parents used every means possible to send me here," Wang Zhi said heavily.

"Heavens, what exactly is the Tower Master's background? She even knows about your parents. I imagine many members of the N Organization don't even know about something like that, do they?" You Luo asked doubtfully.

"I dared to ask, but the Tower Master was unwilling to elaborate."

"Her origins don't matter. As long as she stands opposed to the N Organization, that's enough," Su Muying stated dismissively.

"Um... if, in the future, we are discovered by agents of the n Organization and find ourselves outmatched, you all... you can take me hostage. I am incredibly important to them, and if you hold me, they probably won't dare to act rashly," Wang Zhi warned them preemptively.
