Chapter 46 - Removing the Sealing Cross

She hesitated for less than half a minute.

"I'm willing!"

Akashiya Moka suppressed the shyness in her heart, gently bit her soft red lips, and answered with her pretty face flushed crimson.

To her, Arthur was a special existence unlike anyone else.

From the first time they met, she knew he was different from other humans.

He didn't hate monsters.

He even allowed her to drink his blood.

And his blood carried an allure far beyond anything she had ever felt.

This feeling was completely new.

Ever since she had tasted Arthur's blood, she had tried drinking from blood packs in the past few days—

but her instincts violently rejected it.

In the end, she could only give up, forcing herself to suppress her thirst. Today, upon seeing Arthur again, she could no longer hold back.

Now she understood her own heart.

She liked Arthur's blood.

And at the same time, she liked Arthur.

The two weren't in conflict—on the contrary, they made her like him even more.

Having realized her true feelings, she no longer hesitated.

She chose to become Arthur's retainer, to be with him forever.

"That's wonderful."

Seeing Akashiya Moka's bashful face as she agreed to become his retainer, Arthur couldn't help but smile with joy.

But in the next instant—

Her appearance shifted, and Inner Moka emerged.

She crossed her arms beneath her chest, making the two "snowy delicacies" sway enticingly, enough to make anyone's mouth water.

Her gaze was cold as she looked at Arthur.

"So, you dare to want me as your retainer? How bold."

Seeing her sudden appearance, Arthur raised an eyebrow slightly.

Then, acting modest, he smiled and said: "Not that bold. Just a little more than average."

As he spoke, he raised his right hand and made a certain well-known meme gesture with his fingers.

Inner Moka narrowed her eyes slightly.

Her expression unchanged, she continued coldly:

"For me to accept becoming your retainer isn't impossible—but only if you have the strength to conquer me."

"A fight, then?"

Arthur arched his brow.

"I'll be waiting."

With those three words, Inner Moka vanished, and Outer Moeka returned.

"Eh?"

Outer Moeka blinked her eyes in confusion.

Had she just spaced out?

What had just happened?

Seeing the dazedly cute Akashiya Moka, Arthur chuckled and said:

"Moeka, come with me somewhere later."

"Alright."

Moeka's eyes flashed slightly as she nodded softly.

Then she suddenly thought of something.

She had just agreed to be his retainer—

and now Arthur wanted to take her somewhere.

Could it be… a love hotel?!

Retainer originally referred to family or kin.

Over time, the word had also come to imply a spousal relationship.

That was why she thought Arthur might be taking her to a couple's hotel.

She hadn't expected him to be so impatient.

But since it was Arthur—she didn't feel any rejection at all.

Only nervousness… and anticipation.

Her face flushed bright red at the thought.

But then another question popped up—

If it were really a love hotel, why not just stay home?

Maybe it wasn't a love hotel after all?

At the entrance, Arthur picked up his own shoes and her brown low-heeled shoes. The two of them walked into the courtyard.

"Ah!"

With a shy squeak and blushing face, she felt his arm slide around her slender waist.

Moeka instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.

Arthur cast a concealment barrier.

Then he activated the Silver Sanctuary, nullifying gravity, and the two of them soared into the sky toward Yamanashi Prefecture.

Their flight speed rose sharply.

First breaking the sound barrier—

then Mach 2—

then Mach 3, 4, 5…

Yet despite such terrifying speed, the disturbance was minimal.

Even if they passed right by someone, it would only ruffle a few strands of hair.

About a minute later—

They reached a mountainous region in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Arthur spread out his powerful spiritual sense.

Within a radius of a kilometer, no humans were present. A perfect battlefield.

They landed on an open clearing.

Letting go of Moeka, Arthur smiled and spoke directly:

"Moeka, I want to see your true form as a vampire."

He asked rather than simply removing the seal.

Because he regarded Outer Moeka and Inner Moka as two separate people.

He liked Outer Moeka.

He liked Inner Moka as well.

And asking was simply a matter of respect—after all, she was his wife.

"My… true form?!"

Moeka blinked, stunned.

She subconsciously lowered her gaze to the sealing cross hanging from her chest.

"But… this can't be removed."

"Let me try."

Arthur extended his right hand.

He grasped the cross and gave it a gentle tug.

Clang! A crisp sound.

"The cross—it came off!"

Moeka's eyes widened in shock.

Disbelief was written across her face.

The moment Arthur removed the cross, a blood-red light tinged faintly pink burst forth from her chest.

Moeka closed her eyes.

A terrifying demonic aura erupted.

In an instant, a demonic domain spanning a kilometer took shape, distorting reality itself, invisible to ordinary humans.

The golden sun in the sky transformed into a blood-red moon.

Her aura became tangible, manifesting as countless black energy bats that enveloped her body.

Akashiya Moka began to transform.

Her long pink hair rapidly turned silvery white.

Her legs grew more slender.

Her hips became more shapely.

And her already D-cup bosom swelled further.

Her true vampire form was even more stunning than her sealed state.

A lofty, queenly presence radiated from her.

The instant Arthur broke her seal—

That overwhelming aura erupted. Every monster within a thousand meters shuddered in terror.

It was as if some ancient horror had descended.

Indeed, while no humans were within the radius of Arthur's perception, there were monsters present.

Arthur kept his senses active.

He 'witnessed' everything.

These monsters felt different from Moeka.

Most likely they were the "special" monsters she had mentioned before—creatures of another cosmology.

Unexpectedly, though monsters were nearly absent from the Kanto plains, Yamanashi had them in abundance.

Yet he sensed no evil spirits here.

The Kanto region teemed with malevolent ghosts, but monsters like these were rare.

At least, he hadn't encountered them until now.

Monsters, evil spirits, aliens;

Demons, angels, dragons;

And gods…

This crossover world was ordered chaos incarnate.

Suppressing his wandering thoughts, Arthur turned his gaze from the newly-born demonic domain to Inner Moka.

"How should I address you?"

"Moeka."

She flexed her body slightly, a faint smile curving at her lips, gone in an instant.

Her sharp eyes softened a little as she looked at him.

"…Alright then, Moeka."

Arthur blinked once, smiled, and asked:

"Talk first, or fight first?"

There were two options.

Talk first, then fight.

Or fight first, then talk.

He left the choice to Inner Moka.
