The woman had woken up with a gasp.
Her entire body ached.
"Why am I feeling sore all over?" Lilian mumbled aloud. The pain was a deep, bone-deep pain like she had been in a fight... As if someone, no, as if a lot of people had beaten her.
But she had been asleep all night till that late in the morning.
Lilian had decided to sleep in for the day, since it was obvious she was jobless now. No, she hadn't been fired but she feared going back to the company and facing Cassandra was a death sentence.
And that was why she hadn't set the alarm. It was supposed to feel good, at least for her body and mind- it had been stressful since she woke up in Rose Bennett's body, but here she was, feeling terrible...
She sat up slowly, wincing as every muscle protested the movement.
