🎬 Episode 17: "The Final Farewell"
Flashback from the previous episode:
Kai was running to find Ren, with his friends anxiously trailing behind.
The sunset painted the sky in red and orange hues, the wind whipping through the trees and carrying fallen leaves.
Hina: "Kai, what's wrong?"
Yui: "Kai, why are we running?"
Mika and Taki waited for Kai's answer.
Kai (inner voice): I hope I can reach him…
The wind carries the camera to Ren, who holds a stone and presses it into the ground. Written on it are the words:
> "Here rests Ren."
His belongings lie neatly beside the stone, and he speaks quietly to himself:
Ren: "This is better for everyone… I hope they can live in peace."
He looks up at the sky and whispers:
Ren: "I'm coming, my family."
The wind shakes the tree Kai had just passed as he and the others sprint forward.
Cut to the bridge Ren walks toward:
1. There is a street beneath the bridge.
2. The bridge is slightly elevated.
Ren hums a sad song as he walks toward the bridge.
The sound of cars grows louder as Kai reaches the bridge where Ren had been sleeping, but finds nothing.
Taki calls out:
Taki: "Kai!"
Kai: "Hurry here!"
Kai's face is pale, like someone who has seen a corpse.
He reaches Taki and the others, and they spot the stone Ren wrote on.
Hina collapses to the ground; Yui freezes in shock; Mika steps back, too scared to move.
Kai places his hand on the stone — the writing is still wet.
Kai: "Ren is close… we have to go!"
They run, asking people if they have seen Ren, but everyone shakes their head: no.
Just as hope fades, Kai overhears two people speaking:
Person 1: "Did you see that boy? He looked so tired…"
Person 2: "Yes… I heard him say goodbye…"
Kai rushes to them:
Kai: "Where was that boy?"
The Two: "He was on the bridge, above the street."
Kai and the others sprint toward the bridge.
They see Ren standing on the railing, ready to jump.
Kai (shouting): "Ren! Stop!"
Ren glances quickly at Kai. The wind gusts, and his laughter echoes.
He steps toward the edge, preparing to jump.
In a slow-motion moment, Kai dives and grabs Ren at the last second.
Everyone holds onto Kai to keep him from falling.
Ren laughs, but when he looks at everyone's faces, fear and worry bring back painful memories — the hateful expressions of his relatives, wishing death upon his family.
Ren: "Taki… watch out for him."
Everyone turns to Taki.
Ren carefully unclasps Kai's fingers from his foot, then begins to fall, smiling, finally free from the ghosts of his past.
Fortunately, a car passes under the bridge, and Ren lands on its hood. Tears start flowing down his face.
The driver gets out, and Kai quickly climbs down from the bridge, holding Ren.
Taki calls an ambulance while Yui and Hina tremble in fear. Mika stands frozen.
Hina (trembling, crying, on the phone): "Dad! Hurry! I'm scared… there's blood on the ground!"
Hina's Father (shocked): "What? Where? Blood?! I'm coming!"
Hina's mother drives alongside him.
The ambulance arrives. Ren, covered in blood, is lifted onto a stretcher and placed inside.
Hina's father joins them, ushering everyone into the vehicle.
Kai's hands are bloody, his heart racing, tears streaming.
Hina cries in fear, Yui looks down in horror, and Mika and Taki are haunted by the presence of death.
Hina's Father: "Can you tell me what happened?"
Kai: "He jumped off the bridge."
Yui: "He was laughing… smiling… on the edge of death."
Hina: "He's crazy… saying goodbye while on the verge of death."
Taki & Mika: "He lied to us… to try to die."
Hina's mother, shocked, looks at her husband:
Hina's Mother: "He's Alex Aizumi's son."
Everyone is stunned.
Hina: "Mom… who?"
Hina's Mother: "I suspected it… Ren is the son of Alex Aizumi. He was your friend… your father, Hina."
Hina's Father: "There was an accident a year ago. Alex died. People said he had no children."
Hina's Mother: "Yes… but Hiroto was nervous when asked."
Kai recalls a conversation during the trip when a teacher mentioned the name Hiroto.
Hina's Father: "I need to call Hiroto and ask him myself."
He dials. Hiroto answers:
Hiroto: "Hello, [Father's Name], how are you?"
Hina's Father: "I'm fine… and you? I have a question. Did Alex Aizumi have a son named Ren?"
Hiroto spits out his coffee in shock:
Hiroto: "How did you find out? Who told you?"
Hina's father explains what happened.
Hiroto: "Damn… let him have some time. He promised me he wouldn't do it."
Kai jumps in:
Kai: "You mean… Ren did this before?"
Hiroto: "He considered death twice, but I stopped him."
Hina's Father: "Where is he now?"
Hiroto: "A complaint was filed. I'm abroad, but it will end in a month. I'll try to go to Japan to check on Ren, but I can't stay forever."
Hina's Mother: "Hiroto… didn't you know he was sleeping in the streets, under the bridge, leaving money at the door before running away?"
(Note: Ren left an envelope with money at Hina's door before going to the bridge.)
With the wind howling and sirens wailing, the ambulance reaches the hospital. Hina's father arrives.
Ren is placed on a stretcher and pushed inside. As the hospital doors open, Ren slowly opens his eyes, blinking.
The camera focuses on his face, half-open, half-closed, tears streaming… but he is alive.
Hina gently touches his hand, Yui holds Hina's hand, and Mika and Taki watch in silence.
In a quiet moment, a small flashback shows Ren watching Hina's family from afar during breakfast, a faint, sad smile highlighting his longing for a family.
Kai reads the remaining pages of Ren's notebook, voice trembling:
Kai: "No… don't tell me Ren is thinking…"
The camera slowly pulls away from the hospital.
The sunset fades, the wind whispers softly, carrying sadness, fear… and hope.

النهاية. الكاميرا تبتعد ببطء عن المستشفى، وتظهر السماء الغاربة، والرياح تهب بخفة، مع شعور بالحزن، الخوف، والأمل في الوقت نفسه.
