Chapter 39 - The Thirty-Ninth Outburst of Rage! Rivers of Blood!

Gloomy, damp!

Cold! Eerie!

Inside the dimly lit palace, a roar echoed, lingering for a long time.

The death of Armor brought immense shock and anger to the Twelve Great Leaders, especially the Great Demon King, who, sensing Armor had completely lost his life force, flew into a rage.

"Grim Reaper Aizen, I will ensure he leaves no corpse behind. This is the price he pays for opposing the Karola Clan!" The Great Demon King's cold voice was filled with killing intent.

The Blood Queen, wearing high heels, her crisp footsteps approaching from a distance, entered the main hall. She looked up at the Great Demon King's mural and replied, "I told you not to underestimate Grim Reaper Aizen's power. Armor didn't heed my warning, which is why he met his demise."

Her voice reverberated through the surroundings, pausing for dozens of seconds, and the entire hall became eerily silent.

After a while.

The Great Demon King's gloomy voice, full of anger, said, "This time, it's time to make them pay the price!"

His voice was loud, carrying a deterrent power.

As his voice fell, the surrounding stone walls gradually cracked, and blocks of stone fell from above, creating loud thuds.

Eight figures emerged from within the stone walls. Beneath their feet, a dark red glow appeared, looking extremely strange.

They walked to the center of the main hall, their gazes focused on the massive stone wall before them.

Waves of energy were released, making the entire palace incredibly vibrant, as the eight High-Level Carolla life forms each displayed their powerful abilities.

The Great Demon King's voice rang out again, "Very good, you are all very aware. Armor's death has brought endless rage to the Karola Clan."

"Now it's time to bathe the human world in blood and make them pay the price they deserve."

Thus, all the Twelve Great Leaders, except the Great Demon King, had appeared, while Shadow and the Blood Queen on the side wore expressions of excitement.

Their power was unprecedentedly strong now; a single Grim Reaper Aizen was no longer a threat. It seemed Armor's death had completely enraged them.

Their collective appearance clearly indicated that their first target was Grim Reaper Aizen.

At the same time, eight energy fields appeared in various parts of the city.

The sudden appearance of the energy fields caused countless deaths, with blood scattered everywhere on the streets.

Beneath the energy fields, no corpses remained, only wisps of blood mist. No one dared to approach, and facing the appearing energy fields, they didn't even know how to navigate the path.

Even more terrifying, an energy field appeared at a conference, instantly reducing a group of people to ashes, the scene exceptionally tragic.

Screaming sirens pierced through the city's sky.

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D., there was utter chaos.

Fury's expression was grave. Reports piled up like mountains. He didn't know why, in just one night, eight energy fields had suddenly appeared. Adding the previous three, there were now eleven in total. These energy fields appeared unexpectedly, in different locations, with no discernible pattern, making it impossible to predict where they would appear next.

"What is the current death toll?" Fury frowned and asked.

Melinda checked the data, looked at Fury, and replied heavily, "Two thousand three hundred dead, eight hundred fifty injured, mostly classified as disabled."

"Energy fields. According to Alan Folker, the birth of energy fields is due to the appearance of the Twelve Great Leaders. Now there are eight energy fields, meaning eight Grand Commanders have appeared all at once." Fury held a document, a report detailing some of Alan Folker's investigation information, and said with distress.

Daisy walked in from the doorway, holding a report, and hurriedly said, "Yesterday, Tony Stark destroyed a Karola contact point, eliminated more than twenty Karola ability users, and also encountered a mysterious middle-aged man, and Hulk!"

She finished speaking, put down the document, looked at Fury, waiting for his response.

"Karola! Mysterious middle-aged man! Hulk!" Fury listened to Daisy's report, pondered for a moment, and said gravely.

"Besides that, is there any other information from Tony Stark?"

Coulson looked at Fury and replied, "That middle-aged man killed a powerful Karola. The Karola's power was on par with Hulk's, and even their abilities were very similar."

"Of course, the mysterious middle-aged man's ability is very strong. His conclusion is that he is very likely the killer who previously killed the Karola. As for Hulk, he might also have been kidnapped."

"Karola kidnapped Banner. Where are the people we sent to monitor him?" Fury frowned, displeased at the news.

"He was kidnapped last night, but has now been successfully rescued," Daisy replied.

Fury picked up Daisy's report from the table. Tony Stark's information this time was very detailed. He had faced different types of Karola and, for the first time, witnessed the power of the mysterious middle-aged man, who almost completely overwhelmed the Karola with abilities similar to Hulk's.

"This, perhaps, is just the beginning. The middle-aged man's killing of that High-Level Carolla life form last night has angered them. We are facing eleven Grand Commanders with different abilities."

Fury looked up at Coulson and said calmly, "Coulson, use every means possible to find that mysterious middle-aged man."

But just as he finished speaking, Hawkeye rushed in through the door.

"It seems we've encountered another serious problem. Besides the energy fields, temporal gates have appeared around the city, and now large numbers of people are missing, their whereabouts unknown."

Hearing this, everyone looked at Hawkeye, and then Daisy pulled up the video footage.

On the screen, new images appeared. In different corners of the city, shadows emerged, passing through light blue barrier gates.

Everything happened very quickly; their figures were almost imperceptible, but wherever they passed, crowds of people vanished.

Even more terrifying, an entire street transformed into a desolate one in the blink of an eye.

Everything came too suddenly. Compared to the energy fields, these appearing shadows and the gates they passed through were the most concerning matter.

Energy fields cannot move; as long as they are isolated, there will be no harm.

"Besides that, it seems an energy field disappeared last night!" Coulson received a piece of information and added.

"Last night, a High-Level Karola died, and the energy field disappeared with him. Their timing aligns perfectly."

Fury seemed to find some hope and mused, "So, if we just deal with the Twelve Great Leaders, this whole affair will be brought to an end."

"Strictly speaking, yes, but we haven't yet proven the connection of this matter," Coulson nodded and replied.

"Coulson, find the mysterious middle-aged man, and also this girl named Diana, who seems to be the coach from before." Fury picked up a document that contained repeated mentions of this girl.

Coulson heard this, took the document, and left the conference room.
