Today i woke up quite late it seems like my body is starting to adapt to my new life without a job.
The previous viktor had worked a lot in his small life and was very used to standing up early but since i quit my job i really dont feel like standing up this early everyday.
I wanted to make my breakfast but then stopped and decided to go out and eat breakfast in a restaurant.
When i got dressed i went out and looked into my mailbox fortunately there was nothing inside i didnt want or had time for another errand from edward today since i planned on going to a beyonder gathering today.
I thought about which restaurant i should go to and decided to go to a more known restaurant which was praised a lot.
But its farther away since no truly good restaurant would be in the east borough its in the backlund street so i looked around to find a carriage driver for myself.
When i found one it didnt take long to arrive at the backlund bridge with carriage it only takes around 25 minutes to get to the backlund bridge since its near east borough.
I went through the backlund bridge to find the restaurant since im not exactly sure where it is.
Going through the backlund bridge i once again saw just how many tramps live here it feels really unreal i wonder why there are so many here is it because its easier to beg here?.
I went around and within 10 minutes found the restaurant its quite famous for having good service and good food.
I ordered some simple fried eggs since it doesnt cost as much and with that i already have something different to breakfast then eating everyday bread.
Within 15 minutes my food already arrived quite quick but i guess there werent alot of guests either.
It tasted quite okay nothing to special but its nice to have something different every few days.
Since i still have problems in adapting to this worlds food although it isnt the worst compared to my previous life the food here i quite stale.
From what i know this restaurant is used a lot by merchants when they just arrive in backlund since its not to expensive and is on the backlund bridge where many merchants would come here anyways.
After eating i continued to spent a lot of time here just thinking and wasting some time while drinking a coffe.
After i finished drinking my coffe i paid the waiter and went for a walk when i went outside of the restaurant there were very few tramps i noticed does the restaurant chase every tramp near it away?.
Going through the backlund street was really different from the east borough other than the many tramps there were a lot more shops and restaurants there were also quite a few souvenir shops.
After walking the main street for a while i decided to go to a smaller street here there were still quite a few shops just that they seemed a lot smaller with also a lot less customers.
I continued my way and soon went into an alleyway where i saw a lot of tramps sleeping going through it you can really see just how many tramps there must be in backlund.
After a while i saw a tramp which had a small knife in his hand and his eyes were a bit red he didnt look like hes healthy more like he might die soon if things continued.
"you give me your money"
The tramp seemed to want to threaten me although i pity those who are in such a bad living condition but if they threaten me i dont feel much other than that they decided there own fate.
I went for a quick punch in his face and then backed up when the irrational tramp tried to close the distance and slash i backed up again to dodge it and then went for a kick in his leg.
The tramp fell fast it seemed like he didnt have much to eat or already had injuries since he fell so quickly but just to make sure that he doesnt attack me again i kicked hard on his head to knock him out.
There was another tramp nearby who ran away after seeing what i did to the other maybe scared that i will attack him too.
The kick on the tramps head wont kill him but since it seemed that hes already injured and weak with another injury he might die soon.
I took his knife with me since he might attack someone else once he wakes up.
I then continued to walk back the way i came from to get to the main street again.
Although a weak tramp like he wasnt really dangerous if a group of them with knifes came at me it would be quite different.
I then decided to go to the brave hearts bar since theres still quite a lot of time and i didnt know what to do.
I entered the bar and sat myself to the bar keeper.
"are you looking for kaspars again?"
"not right now im just looking for a drink please one southville beer"
"5 pence"
I drank mostly in silence i sometimes asked the bar keeper some questions about what he knew from the pirate admirals and so on since i might go away from backlund someday it might be useful to know more.
And with this hours went by i also drank a bit of alcohol with time im unsure how smart it is to drink before my first beyonder gathering but it wont be to bad most likely.
Soon i noticed that it was about time to meet kaspars.
"in what room is kaspars?"
"billiard room 3 again"
With this i went up and went to him this time i saw kaspars play with someone else.
"im here on time kaspars"
"come with me"
I followed him outside of the room again and we went to the kitchen of the bar and then went to the back alley and circled around a dark house.
"the fee is 2 pounds also if you can find what youre looking for is all on you i dont make any promises understand?"
"sounds fair"
I gave him the 2 pounds and he took out an iron mask that could only cover half a face.
I put the iron mask on and then messed a bit with my hair so it looks a bit different although it really didnt do much.
Seeing that hes ready kaspars knocked on the door rhythmically.
A few seconds later a small wooden board on the door was suddenly pulled open revealing a pair of brown eyes behind it.
A man wearing an iron mask stood there and handed viktor a hooded robe He said to Kaspars in a hoarse voice
"next time tell in advance understand?"
"your a new member for this gathering you can call me eye of wisdom"
"okay"
He closed the door and led viktor to the dark living room into the activity room on the first floor.
There was a candle burning on a small table which made atleast a little light.
There were around 10 people sitting on the sofas and chairs around the small table with the candle on they were all wearing masks.
I sat myself in an empty chair and didnt say anything for now.
Soon a woman which face was completly covered with a hood spoke up.
"i want to sell 2 weapons one is a whip with beyonder effects which when hitting an enemy with emotions will make him want to stop fighting you for a short time so more often you hit youre enemy so more likely he will not want to fight you it works for 3 years before losing the beyonder effect the price is 250 pounds or the barbarian potion"
What kind of shit weapon is that? the effect sounds really weak the only use i see is maybe when youre fighting a warrior pathway beyonder since their quite tall they might be easier targets and overtime with enough hits you might be able to run with your life but against almost any other it would be hard to hit the person and to that the whip wont do big damage but rather just have a small chance of making him peaceful.
"the second weapon is a portable knife its made by a master craftsmen and can be transformed so it doesnt look like a knife its price is 30 pounds"
Compared to the whip this one actually made me think about buying it since im able to use all weapons efficiently and it would be nice to have a weapon that doesnt look like one it would mean that i could have one by me at all times without being scared of a policemen doing a search on the things i have with me.
But while i was thinking 2 guys were already doing a bidding war for the knife and its price went to 45 pounds which made me lose interest since i cant afford to pay 50 pounds for a knife.
Soon the knife was bought by someone else someone even offered another 5 pounds more so she got 50 pounds for an knife i remember her from the novel when klein went to this gathering she also sold many mystical weapons i wonder from who she gets them from a partner whos on the savant pathway most likely.
In that time one tried to buy the whip for a smaller price since nobody made an offer initially he tried to buy it for a discounted price from but she seems to not accept.
"i want to sell some sun charms today when you use their incantation a sun light will appear and wraiths and zombies near it will either be very damaged or die instantly from it 20 pounds per charm i have 8 charms with me today"
The guy who was selling the charms was sitting besides me and i thought about it quickly and decided to buy one even though i have no use for them now it would be normal to one day encounter wraiths or other undead and 20 pounds arent to much.
while thinking 5 charms were already sold.
"i would like to buy one"
"sure the incanation is eronio"
I guess i should remember that im unsure what it actually means but im quite sure its something in hermes.

before he even stopped speaking Eye of Wisdom already glared at him "stop selling this item here black snake anyone who would buy this is as good as dead"
"why im telling the risks theres no problem if someone buys it when they know about it?"
Isnt that the item klein bought once im pretty sure i remember it but it definitely doesnt sound like something useful to me.
The whole gathering i talked almost nothing i should try asking if someone has a wendigo eye.
"im looking for a wendigo eye if anyone has it we can negotiate the price"
Sadly nobody spoke up well i didnt expect much but its still sad that i didnt get much out of this gathering.
Soon nobody spoke up again with nothing to talk about anymore this gathering soon ended.
"lets end it here today according to the convention we leave one by one each separated by three minutes"
With this one by one people left i was the third to go out.
When i went out i saw the attendant and gave him my hooded robe back i then went back the path i came from to find the bravehearts bar again.
When i entered i saw kaspars waiting outside the kitchen and drinking a beer.
"im happy that you came back alive"
"are there such gatherings again in the future?"
"it seems like you didnt get what you wanted holy lord of storms you should just stop wasting your time and risking your life by going there"
Kaspars thought shortly and then answered "it might take a few days i dont know the details you can come back here every few days and ask me if you want to"
I went and drove with a carriage driver back home.
Although it wasnt that successful i did get a sun charm and i was by my first gathering atleast so it wasnt that bad.
