Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: What About the Said Nuclear Bomb? (1/8)

"Aurora, go on. It's better if you tell me everything in detail~"

"Alright."

Aurora continued, "Once you enter the dungeon, the first thing you must do is edit your identity. After confirming, the system will randomly drop you somewhere in New York City. You'll have five hours of preparation time. After that, the Chitauri will invade.

You'll then have ten hours to perform your mission. During those ten hours, the more Chitauri you kill, the higher your evaluation will be when the mission ends.

But there's one thing you must remember: when killing the Chitauri, avoid being too high-profile. If you draw too much attention, you'll become a primary target, and that will be a huge problem."

"After six hours, a character named Black Widow will close the space-time portal. At that point, you no longer need to hide—just focus on killing as many Chitauri as possible in New York."

"Wait a second!"

Fenric suddenly interrupted, his face tense. "Did you just say that in six hours, Black Widow will close the space-time channel? And by then, there will still be plenty of Chitauri in New York?"

"Yes." Aurora nodded.

"What about the nuclear bomb?!" Fenric's expression changed drastically. "Doesn't the government launch a nuke?"

"A nuclear bomb? No!" Aurora looked at him strangely. "There are millions of people in New York. If the government launched a nuclear strike, how many innocent lives would that take? The superheroes and Samsaras players are more than enough to deal with the invading Chitauri."

"Then… where did I get the idea about the nuke?" Fenric muttered under his breath, feigning nonchalance. "I guess I read too many unreliable sources online."

But his face had already darkened.

According to Aurora, the Samsara space had made adjustments to the original Avengers plot. The government no longer resorted to a nuclear strike. That meant Iron Man no longer had to risk his life to hurl a nuclear bomb into space.

No… wait.

Fenric quickly realized the change was likely due to the influence of the Samsara players. With so many powerful participants joining the battlefield, the government probably saw hope for victory without such desperate measures.

That made sense.

In the original plot, the government opted for the nuclear option because they saw the Avengers being overwhelmed by the endless Chitauri horde and wanted to prevent the destruction from spreading.

After all, there were simply too many Chitauri. The Avengers were powerful, but they were too few—like two fists against a thousand hands.

Not to mention the Leviathan-like behemoths rampaging through the city.

In the latter half of the original battle, the Avengers were nearly crushed under the endless waves of enemies. Under such circumstances, the government's decision to launch a nuclear strike had been justified.

But now, with the Avengers dungeon world filled with Samsara players, the balance of power had shifted.

Those who could reach the Sixth Stage were at least C-rank Samsaras, with many at B-rank.

These individuals were already superhuman, no weaker than Captain America himself.

Fenric, for example.

At his current level, Fenric could easily defeat Captain America in a one-on-one fight.

Unless Thor was willing to lend his hammer to the Captain, there was no way the man could even put up a fair fight against him.

Thinking of this, Fenric exhaled slowly.

Belle noticed Fenric's grim expression and asked gently, "Shura, are you alright?"

"I'm fine," Fenric replied with a faint smile.

On the surface, he appeared calm, but inwardly, frustration gnawed at him.

His original plan had been to use the nuclear bomb to destroy the Chitauri's mothership outright, severing their command link and wiping them out in one decisive blow.

But now… the nuke was gone.

"Shura, if you're uncertain, you can always wait and challenge it next time," Belle offered, sensing his unease.

Aurora glanced sideways at her sister. Belle's concern for Fenric was obvious—far closer than before.

129 days of living side by side… something must have happened, Aurora thought.

Though, truthfully, if Belle did end up with Shura, Aurora would be pleased.

In Samsara space, once someone reached the age of 35 without entering, they were no longer eligible to join.

(Note: Those who entered before turning 35 remain unaffected by age restrictions.)

In other words, there were no "old people" among Samsaras—only the young and strong.

And Shura… Fenric… he was far from old.

Young, strong, and brimming with potential.

"Let me think," Fenric said at last.

Belle, understanding the weight of his thoughts, immediately held her tongue.

Some women are foolish enough to nag or argue when a man is under pressure, just to assert their presence. Belle, fortunately, was not one of them.

Fenric sank into deep thought.

Even without a nuclear bomb, it wasn't impossible for him to destroy the Chitauri's mothership.

He had his oxygen mask, which allowed him to survive in the vacuum of space.

If he could steal an Iron Man suit, he might be able to fly through the space-time portal and directly attack the Chitauri's command ship.

Even if he couldn't completely destroy it, with his current power, he could wreak havoc on their forces—because individually, the Chitauri were weak.

But the risks… the risks would multiply tenfold.

Charging into the heart of enemy territory alone, even Fenric couldn't guarantee his safety.

"Should I try to acquire a nuke myself?"

The thought flashed through his mind—but he quickly dismissed it.

The preparation window was only five hours.

In that time, he had to infiltrate Stark Industries and secure several Iron Man suits. Where would he find the time—or resources—to obtain a nuclear warhead?

"Aurora, do you have any heavy weaponry? Missiles? The more powerful, the better," Fenric suddenly asked.

Aurora's sharp eyes narrowed. She immediately understood his intentions.

"Shura… you're not planning to attack the Chitauri's mothership, are you?"

Fenric smiled faintly. "Exactly."

It wasn't a plan he could—or needed—to hide. Once he acted, every Samsara players in the dungeon would know.

"Shura, you're bold—recklessly bold," Aurora said with admiration. "But with your strength, if anyone can do it, it's you."
