Taeryn was turned on. He always was around Rihan. But this… This was different.
Knowing Rihan wanted him enough to fear losing him lit something deep inside his chest. Not that Taeryn had any intention of leaving, but he wanted Rihan to understand that.
"You can do anything you want to me, Detective," Taeryn murmured, his eyes half‑lidded, "I'm yours."
Rihan's expression shifted, a flicker of satisfaction crossing his face. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make Taeryn's pulse race.
"You don't want me to leave you… do you, Detective?" he asked softly, savoring this new side of Rihan he'd uncovered.
Rihan didn't answer. He didn't need to. Taeryn saw everything he needed in those sharp, furious hazel eyes.
A slow smile spread across his lips. "I'm really not going anywhere, Detective."
Rihan didn't relax completely, but the tension in his shoulders eased. He slid off Taeryn's lap with an irritated grunt, pulling off his jacket and unbuttoning his shirt.
