Chapter 79 - Wind Breaker

Another day passed and Baston went to the information guild to check the result. After paying 50,000 pounds to the staff, the fat boy finally could check whether the information was accurate or not. He already

knew the real hideout and wanted to compare what the guild could check with their resources. Even though the end result might be wrong, he didn't dare to complain since the guild was a strong force to be reckoned. At least, there should be any additional useful information he could use.

"Viktor Anderson, a fat and greedy noble…" Baston read the result, "Even though he is a snobbish man, his wealth is enormous. He also has greater influence among nobles, even though his noble title is not too great.

Recently, he is hanging out in Paradise Resort with many women…"

Baston found a nearby restaurant and sat while looking at the fresh information. The result was the same as his guess which delivering the fake location of Viktor Anderson. The man seemed very careful to hide his existence at Carpel Inn so no one would expect it was just a trap for Luke at

the first location. However, he found out there was also another conclusion by

the information guild. The man should stay at Paradise Resort but it seemed when the people from the guild looked after him, he sometimes just disappeared from the place. Because of this, there was a suspicion regarding his real whereabouts. Paradise Resort should be a temporary place to stay and the real one was hidden from them.

Baston nodded thoughtfully because the information guild wasn't easy to be fooled. They were already in business for decades so the investigation was more thorough than ordinary one. Whether the guild found the

real whereabouts of Viktor or not, he didn't care since he already knew beforehand. Moving over, the fat boy then looked additional information about the guards. According to the result, there would be at least 2 wizards, 10 guards, and another 2 hidden guards that always went around Viktor at Paradise Resort. As for how many guards at Carpel Inn, it seemed he had to check it by himself.

The information provided to Baston was quite good and complete. He felt satisfied and thought the money he paid was not useless. There were also some trivia information combined, but looking at it, these things couldn't help too much on killing Viktor. He took a deep breath and waited for his food to be ready. Because he used the puppet, he couldn't possibly eat it. There was no other way except to order the food as takeout. Although he chose a few

dishes among the menu, it consumed his 1000 pounds from it. There was only

149,000 pounds left inside his Luminos card. He lamented how much easier for the money to fly away in this city.

"I think it will be very hard to face all the guards just by the two of us. Not to mention of the wizards and simple guards, there are 2

hidden one which is very troublesome…"

While Baston was pondering, the waiter brought the ordered food. After thanking and giving some cash as a tip, he then continued his walk until he arrived at Tasco's Barrack. The puppet successfully resisted on the

first day, leaving a good impression for the old knight. When he greeted Tasco, the later laughed happily while patting his shoulders.

"You are very impressive, Sebastian… Even though the first day is rough, you are still coming here. I thought you already give up the training."

"I already spent 100,000 pounds on you so believe me, I will strive until the end…" Baston thought, giving a motivated reply, "I'm not a weakling who could only stay for one day. That will be a disgrace for the

knights."

"Ha… ha… ha… True… It's true…" Tasco nodded, "By the way, what are you bringing with you?"

"It's just a gift for you. I hope you can take it."

"You don't have to take a trouble for it…"

Although Tasco seemed to reject it, but his hands were honest for accepting the gift. Just like most old people nowadays, they felt

good for themselves once someone brought the food for them. Although there was a chance they couldn't finish it, but the impression it could make was priceless. The old knight savored the food quickly and Baston sighed those 1,000 pounds went by in no time. After the old knight finished everything, the training then continued.

"Sebastian, I already taught you how to slash effectively and efficiently at the first day. You might think it's just a basic training

but it's necessary. Because in this second day, you will learn to maximize it more with your aura."

The utilization of aura seemingly had similarity with the magic. Wizards would convert the mana into magic while knights would convert the mana into aura. There were several attributes on magic and the same also applied into aura. Wizards needed a time to cast a magic, but knights only

needed to use their weapon directly to take the effect. Although the range was shorter, but it was best for direct combat attack.

Before, Baston got a complete knowledge of his ice attribute from the old book as the reward. It didn't only let him comprehend the ice magic, but also the ice aura. Nevertheless, since he wasn't a knight to begin with, he didn't know the basic of fighting. Just casually swinging the sword

might let his aura unleashed, but it would be hard to control. Unlike the way of magic, the form of aura was used differently.

"Sebastian, watch this strike carefully…"

Slowly, Tasco took a deep breath. He closed his eyes and when he opened it, Sebastian felt the old knight became someone entirely

different. His seemingly weak posture suddenly became a knight who was ready to

go into the war. He touched his sword, gripping it tightly. Baston watched it intently and with just a flash of sight, Tasco unsheathed the sword and he swiftly slashed into the air. The fat boy saw besides the sharp of sword, there was an aura imbued with wind element. It went far ahead and grasped the wooden dummies further.

"Such a sharp attack… I wonder if Viktor was like him…" Baston thought.

Tasco stared at the fat man, pointing to the wooden dummies at the back, "Do you spot something strange from my slash?"

"Something strange?" Baston looked at the wooden dummies.

There were few wooden dummies that already been cutting through. The quick slash from Tasco before separated many dummies into two. Besides the clean cut, there was nothing Baston could see. He wondered why Tasco ask the question. There was no way the old knight liked to tease him because with 100,000 pounds for one week training, there would be no time to

play around. Every second was priceless and the old knight had to focus himself

seriously. Once again, Baston looked at the wooden dummies until he found something peculiar.

"Why the front dummy doesn't take the damage, but the further back is all destroyed? I saw the slash was horizontal so all of them should take a hit. Did the strike could simply bypass it?"

The fat man was confused but Tasco grinned because he finally piqued Baston's curiosity. The passerby indeed only saw the slash, but

there was more than what it appeared in front of everyone. Despite it looked like swift and fast attack, the old knight could control his aura so it could hit the target while bypassing the innocent one. That was why the front dummy was fine while the back was a mess. Baston was flabbergasted, waiting for the explanation.

"That's one of many advanced skills of mine. It's called wind breaker. Supposedly, it has to be complemented with wind aura but it was

also fine without the aura. The essence is your attack must be performed quickly and faster with the appointed time and target. You already saw what happened before. My target is the dummies further back so the front one is unscathed."

"It's amazing. I never thought such an attack could bypass the front dummy perfectly. The slash never loses its momentum before striking the target."

"You are quite lucky, Mr. Sebastian. That's one of my strongest attacks. Usually, I only teach the ordinary one but since you show me the best of your heart, then I also will show you one of my best skills."

What Tasco meant was when Baston broke his own arm just for his final attack. The cracked bones looked terrible but Baston acted nonchalantly. Since it was just a puppet, he only needed to relocate the bones of the arm back to where it belonged to. Tasco was flabbergasted because the

fat man never grunted. Just from the look, it must be painful yet this customer of him seemingly didn't feel anything after he forcefully fixed his own arm. The old knight was surprised, believing such a fat man wasn't simple. Despite his amateur skill, his future would be awesome if he dedicated his life to become a knight.

On the other hand, Baston also felt lucky to see such an amazing skill. Even though it wasn't clear enough, he could try as much as he wanted. The puppet wouldn't get tired anyway. He could try to swing the sword

many times until he bored himself. Nevertheless, controlling the wind aura like

that must be a hard work. Fortunately, the old book had already given him a complete knowledge regarding the gale element. It was an upgraded version from wind element, dealing much more damage if he could use it properly. There was also a way to achieve the effect like wind breaker with magic, but doing it with sword seemed cooler and faster.

Baston was eager to try it so Tasco bought other dummies to the field. The fat man surely couldn't achieve the effect of wind breaker for the first time, but he could try it for twice, thrice, and forward until the miracle happened at one time. The old knight was happy to see such a talented person, moreover the fat man was also hardworking. Talented people didn't always achieve greater, but he believed talented and hardworking people would achieve the greatest. The fat man had a talent so the only thing he needed to do was to keep training and improving. It would be no time until the man named Sebastian became famous.

"SLASH!!!"

Suddenly, the fat man successfully used the wind breaker on the dummies. Although the control wasn't great, but it was good enough. The thing was the slash looked faster and sharper than what Tasco could deploy. It

didn't cut the dummy into two because the slash went straight into the head. Right at the moment, there were few headless dummies and Tasco could only stare at it. He was dumbfounded about what happened in front of his eyes.

"DO IT AGAIN!!!"

Tasco seemed in a hurry, urging the fat man to use wind breaker for a second time. Since the first success, Baston seemed to find the

break point to use the skill of wind breaker. There was no preparation and he just slashed the sword as usual. But in this simple attack, Tasco found something unbelievable. The old knight had wind aura on him so he was much sensitive about the same elemental aura. He felt similarity but once he sensed further, the might was greater and faster than what he had inside him.

"It can't be… You…"

It was very rare nowadays to see such a person got blessed with this certain element. For ice and flare elements, there were already a heritage on certain families. But for gale, it was very rare because this element was never monopolized like Versance or Herbiens family. People thought it was already lost for decades but unknowingly, someone just appeared inside Luminos City. Once the news spread, everyone with hidden intention would gather and try to seduce this fat man to join the family. Pretty sure, Sebastian would be treated like a stallion with one purpose of giving a birth to many potential descendants. At least, that was what Tasco thought of the fat man.
