There was no helping it, this achievement was simply too shocking.
In the past, Loki Familia's Sword Princess had already stunned the city when, at the age of only eight, she climbed from a brand-new Level 1 rookie to Level 2 in just a year.
That alone had dropped countless jaws.
But that was a year.
Three hundred sixty-plus days.
Now, that record has been slashed to… seven days?
"Fake, right?"
"Falsified stats? Or did they lie about the time?"
"Hey, quiet! We're talking about Freya Familia here!"
Names carry weight, and Freya Familia's reputation, or rather, its intimidating power, had been etched deep into Orario's heart for more than a decade.
So very few dared openly question its members.
Still, whispers of doubt spread.
What the gossiping adventurers didn't know, however, was that that very afternoon, the Guild had already convened an emergency meeting.
================
Inside a vast chamber deep within the Guild headquarters, the current Guildmaster Royman Mardeel sat at the head of the table, facing off against three of Freya Familia's First-Class Adventurers.
Among them was none other than the Familia's infamous Vice Captain.
"I refuse," Royman said firmly. "This kind of Great Feat must never be made public."
"Have you even considered the consequences? If other adventurers try to imitate this method, do you know how many will die?"
The vice captain, a cat-person, leaned back in his chair, legs propped shamelessly on the table. He spoke bluntly:
"Only the strong can use such methods. If trash tries to copy them, that only proves their stupidity. Whether they live or die, what's that got to do with us?"
He glanced at the report in his hand.
Even he, one of Freya Familia's elite, had only learned the truth the night before.
And the truth had stunned him as well.
Seven straight days of deliberately triggering Monster Parties, followed by near-unbroken combat, seven days and seven nights without rest.
Yes. That much bloodshed and survival was indeed enough to justify a Level Up to 2.
Anyone who learned this truth could only whisper one word:
"Monster."
For centuries, even across a thousand years of divine history, no Level 1 adventurer had ever achieved something like this.
And so, while Freya Familia believed publicizing this truth would silence doubters, the Guild's side thought otherwise.
================
"Adventurers will absolutely try to copy this."
Royman's tone was heavy. Though born of the elf race, once known for their nobility, his figure was so rotund that he looked more like a goblin than a high elf. Many mocked him as the Pig of the Guild.
On the surface, he seemed greedy and self-serving. But in truth,
"As Orario's strongest Familia, you know perfectly well how many adventurers are already desperate, cornered, with nowhere to turn. If this method of achieving a Great Feat is made public, some of them will take the risk.
"And worse, they'll drag other weak adventurers into it as test subjects."
The Guildmaster knew better than anyone how many such scum infested Orario. He could not allow a massacre born of reckless imitation.
Unfortunately,
"Why should we let our own be slandered just to protect unrelated trash?"
The Freya side refused to yield.
"Che. Staying here is a waste of time."
The cat-man vice captain stood, his tail flicking lazily, and said without hesitation:
"If the Guild won't reveal the truth, then we will. In the end, we're only here on Freya-sama's orders, to notify you.
This time, we've broken no rules. On the contrary, it's you who make unreasonable demands.
Adventurers fight, kill, and die. We're not babysitters. We're not charity workers. If you want moral blackmail, you've come to the wrong people."
With that, he and the other two First-Class Adventurers from Freya Familia rose and strode out without looking back.
"Wait! Allen Fromel, [Lady's Chariot]!"
"You can't just do as you please!"
"You mustn't!"
Royman waddled after them, breathless, his words fading into the corridor.
But the Freya elites didn't slow.

Notes:
Monster Part: An extremely dangerous event in DanMachi where monsters spawn in massive waves, overwhelming most adventurers. Normally avoided at all costs.
Great Feat: A prerequisite achievement for leveling up in DanMachi. It's not just about stats, but also a deed of significance that proves an adventurer's worth.
Allen Fromel: Known as the "Lady's Chariot," Freya Familia's vice captain, a Level 6 cat-person famed for his blunt, ruthless nature.
Royman Mardeel: The Guildmaster. Though an elf, his obese body and unpopular demeanor have earned him the derisive nickname Guild Pig. Despite appearances, he genuinely worries about the safety of ordinary adventurers.
