As for what kind of path-laying plan Freya had in mind for Renjiro, he, of course, had no clue.
Right now, his focus could be summed up in one word:
"Grind! Grind! And grind the hell out of it!!!"
Back in his previous life, Renjiro had read countless fantasy stories about power-leveling protagonists.
He never understood why some of those so-called heroes, knowing full well their world was dangerous and their strength insufficient, would still choose to leisurely enjoy slice-of-life days instead of training when they had the chance.
Get stronger first.
After that, you can live however recklessly you want.
In Orario, power speaks loudest.
The bigger the fist, the harder the truth.
Especially as a member of Freya Familia, the city's top faction. With her supreme ability of Charm, Freya could, if she wished, rewrite the memories of everyone in the city regardless of their consent.
Meanwhile, countless weak adventurers couldn't even afford a full meal, there were hundreds, if not thousands, of tragic examples.
This god-blessed fantasy world was nothing like the lawful society Renjiro had known in his past life.
He didn't enjoy bullying others, but unless he grew stronger fast, he'd inevitably end up the one being bullied.
"Fall behind, and you get beaten," a truth his homeland's ancestors had once written in blood.
================
"In the coming days, the Dungeon will be my permanent residence," Renjiro muttered.
He set himself a small goal:
"Aether, Lumine, and at least five Genshin avatars, each equipped with their own Genshin weapons, all raised to Lv.20 in their Genshin levels."
That would give him a seven-man squad, each with max Lv.2 adventurer blessings and the ability to challenge foes above their level.
After that…
"It'll be my (main body's) turn for Accumulation."¹
Renjiro knew his main body had below-average talent among normal adventurers. He had no illusions about reaching the absurd stat values of that red-eyed rabbit boy who broke past 1000 in Basic Abilities.
So he aimed for the normal extreme: all attributes at s rank.
Anything less would waste the assistance his Genshin System provided.
================
The very next day after updating his stats, Renjiro used over 1.3 million valis he'd just earned to purchase:
a mountain of healing potions
antidotes
food supplies
and most importantly… two bottles of Panacea.
Think of Panacea as the ultimate health potion of this world.
How powerful was it?
Roughly speaking, if someone had third-degree burns so severe they'd need an amputation to survive in his old world, pour a bottle over them, and within seconds they'd be as good as new.
But that kind of power came at a steep price: 500,000 valis per bottle.
Frankly, that was already a bargain. The only reason the price wasn't higher was because healing-type Familias mass-produced cheaper potions, suppressing the market price.
In his old world? A medicine like this would be worth a king's ransom.
Of course, buying two Panaceas emptied most of his fortune. But Renjiro decided it was worth it.
These weren't for his avatars, they were for himself.
Up to now, without a dedicated healer or seven-day resurrection idol, if one of his Genshin characters died, he'd be forced back to his main body. That form could then revive the fallen avatar with only 35% HP restored.
During Starfire mode (Aether + Lumine fused form), if either sibling dropped to zero, they wouldn't revive immediately. Only if both died would Renjiro be forcibly returned to his main body.
And if that happened, he'd need to chant the seven-word incantation, "Guided by the stars and the abyss," taking one second to transform again.
Similarly, switching Genshin avatars also had a one-second delay.
In short: if his Starfire state was broken, it meant he was already in a high-risk, life-threatening scenario.
That's when the Panacea might be the only thing standing between him and death, whether for a last-ditch counterattack, an emergency retreat, or even saving an ally.
So he prepared for every contingency he could think of.
"All right then, strike while the iron's hot!"
At 4 a.m., after drawing a three-star Cold Steel weapon, Renjiro got up, stocked up on supplies from a 24-hour shop, and by dawn he was already in the Dungeon.
And once again, he dove into the endless grind.
================
Around noon that same day, the Guild finally posted the much-delayed announcement:
"Orario's Fastest Level-Up Record Shattered! Freya Familia's New Recruits 'Aether' and 'Lumine' Reach Lv.2 in Just One Week!"
The delay was due to Freya Familia's reports requiring especially strict verification.
Had it been any other Familia, Renjiro himself would likely have had to appear in person for confirmation.
But now, with the notice made official,
"Only one week since receiving their blessing, and they're already Lv.2?"
"And both siblings, no less?"
"What kind of monsters are these…?"
Shock rippled through the entire city.
And suspicion was quick to follow.
