Inside The Cave

Slowly a small area opened. Mu Yang looked at it shockingly.
"We are close! Come inside fast. It's going to close very soon.", Mu Yang said.
Mu Yang ran while holding Xin Ye's hand. They both went inside the small area. It was completely dark there.
Xin Ye opened her torch and looked around. The place was very clean. The lanterns on the walls started burning themselves. Xin Ye gasped after seeing the miracle in front of her eyes.
"Huh! I... it's unbelievable!", Xin Ye said.
The floor was flat so there would not be any problem in walking from there.
"This place...!", Mu Yang said and widened his eyes in shock.
"We should move fast!", Xin Ye said and took a step.
Suddenly many arrows headed towards them. Xin Ye hide her face in Mu Yang's shoulder. She thought they both will die today with these arrows.
After a while Xin Ye didn't feel anything on herself. She took her head out from Mu Yang's shoulder and looked around. All the arrows were falling on the ground.
"H... How it happened?", Xin Ye asked. Her lips were shivering due to panic.
Mu Yang looked around. He held Xin Ye's hand and then started walking. Xin Ye pulled him and didn't let him walk.
"No... It can be dangerous.", Xin Ye said because she had panicked a lot. She was afraid of death and also didn't want to lose her friend.
"Nothing will happen! I am with you.", Mu Yang said.
"No..", Xin Ye said and her filled up with tears. She was even afraid of taking one more step.
"Okay! You stay here. I will go and find Chronofang.", Mu Yang said.
"No! Don't go. I don't want to lose you. I can't let you keep your life in danger.", Xin Ye said.
Mu Yang looked at her with a soft gaze. He looked at her hand by which she was holding Mu Yang's hand and wasn't letting him go.
"What is our mission! Don't forget. I am with you. Nothing will happen. Trust me! You will not die!", Mu Yang saod.
Xin Ye shook her head. Mu Yang pulled her.
"See! The path is clear and we have to walk in it. I am with you so nothing will happen to both of us. When we will return then these attacks will not happen!", Mu Yang said and tried to control her.
Xin Ye thought and after a while she nodded her head. She took a deep breath and now she was ready to do a daring task.
"Good!", Mu Yang said.
Xin Ye and Mu Yang walked together. After fifty meters the straight path ended and there is a think rock path which is hundred meters long. Both sides of the rock path had cliffs. If anyone would fall then they won't be able to return back.
The lanterns were burning in this side and it was causing the path to be visible. But the darker side of cliff was still unseen from the top. Xin Ye didn't know the height of the cliff.
"You walk first. I will walk behind you.", Mu Yang said.
"B..but...", Xin Ye said.
"Trust me!", Mu Yang said.
Xin Ye nodded her hand and put her first step into the thin rock path. Then she took another step. She tried to maintain the balance. She was feeling like she was walking on a rope.
Mu Yang walked behind her. They both took steps slowly. Suddenly the lanterns turned off and the place filled up with darkness. It was getting difficult for Xin Ye to see the path. She turned on her torch but it stopped working. She got scared and screamed.
"Aaaaaaa! Yang! It's dark! I can't see anything! My torch has stopped working.", Xin Ye screamed in shock.
Mu Yang carried Xin Ye in her arms while making balanced on the path.
"We both will fall.", Xin Ye said.
Mu Yang didn't reply and he walked in that path in the darkness. Xin Ye tightly grabbed Mu Yang's shirt and every second she remembered her happy moments. She didn't know what would happen next.
Mu Yang crossed the path and came to the plain and comfortable surface. The lanterns turned on. Xin Ye opened her tightly closed eyes when she felt that there was light in the cave.
Xin Ye looked around and saw that Mu Yang had crossed the path. They both were safe. Mu Yang put her down.
"How did you see in the darkness?", Xin Ye asked.
"I did it..", Mu Yang said. He looked around and thought where to go now.
Xin Ye checked her torch and now it was working well. She looked at it confusingly.
"Focus!", Mu Yang said.
Xin Ye stopped looking at her torch and focused on Mu Yang.
"There are three paths and we have to choose only one. If we will chose the wrong one then beasts are there to kill us.", Mu Yang said.
Xin Ye got goosebumps in her all over body. She felt that something was moving in her feet. She jumped in fear and hoped on Mu Yang's back.
"Th... there's something!", Xin Ye said.
Mu Yang looked down and saw a worm which was very small.
"Get down!", Mu Yang said.
Xin Ye got down from Mu Yang's back and looked at the worm. It had spikes and eyes were red.
"Don't touch it. If it will bite you then you will die within a second. These worms belong to the era of Chao Xiang! They are still alive! Unbelievable. I thought they won't exist in future.", Mu Yang said.
The worm moved towards Xin Ye again but Mu Yang stared at it. The worm changed its direction and started going in third path.
"Come!", Mu Yang said.
"Where?", Xin Ye asked.
Mu Yang held her arm and started taking her with himself.
"Wait! How do you know we have to go there. What if we will die?", Xin Ye asked.
"Nothing will happen to us.", Mu Yang said.
"It's so risky and I am afraid. I am still unmarried! I want to marry and settle in my life. What will happen if I will die? How I will fulfill all my wishes? I want to earn fame by exploring lost places.", Xin Ye said.
Mu Yang shook his head and started walking after leaving Xin Ye's arm.
