Tiffany's POV
The door slammed shut behind them and the room went dead quiet. I sat up fast. Too fast. The wound in my shoulder burned like fire, but I didn't care.
My face was still stinging from that slap.
I could taste blood where my lip split But none of that hurt as much as the way she looked at me.
Like I was dirt. Like I was nothing. I screamed.
It was not a pretty scream. Not a movie scream. A real, ugly, broken scream that came from somewhere deep and dark.
They think they can walk in here, act all high and mighty, and just leave?
I looked around for something to throw.
The water jug on the table. I grabbed it and smashed it against the wall.
Glass exploded everywhere. Water splashed the floor.
The heart monitor started beeping loud and crazy.nI ripped the needle out of my arm. Blood ran down my hand, warm and sticky.
Good. I wanted to feel something real.
The door flew open. A doctor and two nurses ran in, eyes wide.
"Miss, please calm down!"
