"What are you talking about?" asked Aurora. "I want to call my husband. I want to go home."
"I don't think that's the safest place for you," said Nikkita. "Rand's team extracted you easily enough."
"Because they had leverage, not because they were successful in capturing me."
"I stand by my statement," said Nikkita. She slipped her tea. "Getting you out of the villa successfully is all that matters. As long as you have people you care about, enemies have leverage."
Aurora's soul ached for her husband. For Butterfly Villa. She would only feel safe if Kellan was here. She would only feel protected when she returned to their sanctuary.
"I want to call Kellan."
"That crazy husband of yours shouldn't be anywhere near this mess," said Ryder.
"Crazy?" Nikkita's brows rose. "Aren't you married to Kellan Ward? He's one of the richest people in the country. Nobody in Ash City can touch him."
"Exactly," said Aurora. She glared at her brother.
