Scylla let out an ear-splitting scream.
"Ah—! Shabak—! You shameless bastard!"
Scylla's scream attracted everyone's attention, including the other Demon Lords who were busy maintaining the hell gate.
But they only glanced at it before continuing with their own affairs. As for helping it out, are you kidding?
Do you think the Rock of Eternity is a harmonious and friendly organization where everyone helps each other?
Being tricked by Shabak only proved Scylla's foolishness; which of them, as Demons, didn't rise through such deceitful means?
Scylla despaired when it saw no one helping it.
And the Parasite Demon had long guessed that these Demons were all selfish individuals, so it wasn't worried at all that someone would ruin its good fortune.
The six fiendish beasts on Scylla's body bit Shabak with all their might, but every time it was injured, it healed at an even faster rate, completely unfazed.
Every second, it grew stronger, and simultaneously, Scylla's struggles gradually weakened.
It had already lost some of its power when it fought Karasen and Arthur, so it wasn't in its complete state, while the Parasite Demon had just replenished its soul and was at its most powerful and ravenous.
This instantly drained all of Scylla's remaining power.
After losing its magic, Scylla's fiendish beast body gradually petrified, turning into gray-white stone, eventually becoming a giant statue.
As for the Parasite Demon, its body had already swollen to a size comparable to Karasen's; this was the manifestation of abundant magic's effect on the physical body, as shown in Table 24.
At this point, the Parasite Demon's appearance completely matched the image Dr. Fate had foreseen, and Shazam still hadn't returned from hell.
"Attack it quickly! Don't give it any more chances to absorb energy!"
Currently, the Parasite Demon could only absorb the energy of living beings themselves, not inanimate objects.
But it was evolving very quickly, and Dr. Fate intuitively felt that if this continued, it would become increasingly difficult to deal with!
Martian Manhunter had part of his energy drained, and now he was unwilling to approach the Parasite Demon. He and Superman fired laser beams at it from the air in the distance.
But the Parasite Demon countered them with similar red rays, seemingly with ease.
Hal materialized green chains to encircle the Parasite Demon, using all his strength to bind it.
Arthur leaped from Karasen's head, plunging the golden trident into the Parasite Demon's forehead. magic lightning followed the trident, attacking the opponent's brain, finally causing it to momentarily freeze.
Batman, piloting the batplane, launched all of his stored Nth metal missiles at once. The missiles, trailing blue flames, flew into the Parasite Demon's open mouth.
With a thunderous roar, the Parasite Demon's massive body fell to the ground under the immense impact of the Nth metal bombs, smoke still rising from its mouth.
"Did it work?" Nightwing couldn't help but ask, looking at the fallen Parasite Demon.
Red Hood muttered beside him, "Usually, when someone says something like that, the villain is absolutely fine..."
Sure enough, just as he said, not long after, the Parasite Demon's massive body stood up again.
The inverted pentagram on its chest emitted hellfire, scorching Karasen and Arthur like a giant flamethrower.
As it burned, it laughed, as if mocking the Super Heroes for their futile efforts.
Arthur held the trident in front of him, summoning seawater to form a watery barrier, like a wall of water, enveloping him and Karasen.
But it was clear he was struggling to hold it.
Seeing this, Superman immediately stepped forward to help, but was knocked away by Asmodon, who suddenly flew over.
"Our battle isn't over yet, Kryptonian!"
Asmodon was a berserker, passionately pursuing combat, especially close-quarters fighting.
Clark had no choice but to fight this annoying Demon again, and the sounds of their battle could be heard throughout the city.
Because he knew this was a dream, Clark fought without restraint, truly unleashing power capable of destroying a mountain with a single punch.
However, Asmodon was surprisingly evenly matched with him; in terms of strength and defense alone, he was no less than Superman.
"Hahahahaha, how exhilarating!" Asmodon exclaimed excitedly.
This was also the first time Superman had encountered such an evenly matched opponent, and it was fortunate that he had often trained in combat with Dane before, so he wasn't flustered.
All the Demon Lords were enemies of each other, but one always lurked behind the scenes, manipulating legions in battle, never showing its face from beginning to end—it was Aini.
Its strength wasn't particularly great, but it possessed the ability to control a Demon army, a very rare talent in legion-based warfare.
"Fight, fight! The more people die, the stronger my legion becomes!"
If a person dies and cannot go to heaven, then they will go to hell.
And there weren't many good people in Los Angeles who could go to heaven; those dead mortals were either absorbed by it to become its power, or they were captured before entering hell and re-filled into its legion.
Compared to other Demons, Aini's power grew the most and fastest in this war, and its face was almost split with a grin.
Dr. Fate watched everything unfold. Only three hours had passed since Shabak first opened the gates of hell in Midway City, but All America was almost completely overrun.
The Military's forces were corrupted and paralyzed by "parasites," now completely losing their command system. The high command couldn't even call for outside help!
And the outside world could not possibly know that in just three hours, the United States, with over 900,000 square kilometers, nearly two million soldiers, and more than a dozen carrier battle groups, had rapidly fallen.
Even the most imaginative Military intelligence officers couldn't conceive of such a situation!
So they had to rely on themselves!
If this continued, by the time the hell dimension and the Real World were completely connected, the United States would truly be finished!
Dr. Fate was still worried when he suddenly heard a loud noise from the sky. He looked up and saw that the atmosphere, which Dane had previously punched through, had somehow been filled with a red hell.
Innumerable mindless Demons and various bizarre creatures roared at Earth from there. The hellish aura invaded from the sky, filling the air with scorching heat.
"My God..." Constantine's cigarette fell from his mouth.
At this moment, everyone in All America saw the scene in the sky. Without anyone needing to tell them, they all sensed the doom of the United States.
Countless people knelt in prayer, begging for God's salvation.
Even Gabriel, who was sweeping through Demons on the battlefield, couldn't help but pray to her "Lord."
But for some reason, recently, whenever she prayed, Dane's face always appeared in her mind.
She quickly chased away the wild thoughts in her mind; this was blasphemy!
But thinking of this, she couldn't help but worry, where exactly was Dane?
This was also what the other women were thinking.
Wonder Woman looked at the hellish scene in the sky, suddenly feeling somewhat powerless.
No matter how valiant she was, she couldn't kill all the Demons of hell by herself.
Dane, what are you doing now? We need you!
Meanwhile, the Demon Lords on the field laughed heartily as they looked at the hell in the sky.
"Humans, why don't you welcome heaven?"
What came down from above was, of course, heaven. They mocked human faith in this way, blaspheming God's name.
Dr. Fate looked at the impending collapse of hell and made a decision in his heart.
He was Dr. Fate, and also Nabu, the Lord of Order.
He would always make the right choice.
Have you already decided this?
Yes, Nabu, if my sacrifice is meaningful, then let it be so.
You should understand that even if you sacrifice your life to close the gates of hell, those hellish Lords will still need someone to subdue them.
I believe in those 007 Super Heroes, and I don't believe Shazam is lost in hell. His destiny is something neither you nor I can see... Just as Dr. Fate was about to sacrifice his life to close the gates of hell, a strange disturbance suddenly echoed in the sky again.
The fall of hell stopped.
Not only the Super Heroes on the ground, but even the Demon Lords didn't understand what was happening.
But soon they discovered that the entrance to hell was rapidly shrinking.
Suddenly, three yellowish-green chains stretched out from hell, piercing Aini, Berial, and Asmodon respectively. The chains were imbued with the authority of hell, making them utterly unable to resist.
"No—!"
Asmodon tried to grab Superman, but was punched away by him, flying into hell, following the chains.
"Just a little more, it was just a little more!" Aini gnashed his teeth in hatred. Just a little more of its power... its power... its power was draining away!
The souls Aini had absorbed suddenly flowed out from its seven orifices. It tried to block them with its hands, but to no avail.
"No! You can't do this! They're mine!"
But the leakage of souls could not be stopped, and Aini, eventually beaten back to its original state, could only be dragged back to hell by the chains, filled with unwillingness.
Berial lay on the ground, covered in wounds. Across from him, Etrigan was equally battered, almost unable to stand.
"You won again this time..." Berial let the chains pierce its body.
"As a Demon, you repeatedly help mortals. You are truly a disgrace to Demons!"
Etrigan rested his broken sword on his shoulder and laughed, "You are my father. To me, that is the real disgrace!"
"We will meet again, my son..."
With that, Berial was pulled back to hell by the chains.
After those Demon Lords were all recalled to hell, the gates of hell in the sky finally closed, until they disappeared...
