Orm looked at Atlanna before him, then at the aggressive Dane behind him, and suddenly smiled.
"Mother, is this what you hoped to see? The King of Atlantis, kneeling in repentance in an enemy city in full view of everyone?"
Atlanna's body trembled, but she said nothing.
Orm slowly stood up and turned to face Dane.
"If you think that force can make me, or Atlantis, submit, then you are wrong, because we will never surrender!"
Dane saw a hint of resolve on Orm's face and couldn't help but laugh.
As the one who initiated the war, how dare you say such words, making it sound like we are the villains.
But since you've said it, we can't ignore our role in cooperating with your performance, so Dane used his newly acquired ability.
Rumble—!
The ground where everyone stood suddenly experienced a violent earthquake. Clark's expression was tense; he felt this was not an ordinary earthquake.
So he used his X-ray vision to look beneath the ground and discovered a massive creature hidden underground, which startled him!
Dane promptly reminded him, "Don't be nervous, it's on our side."
Clark immediately relaxed.
The next moment, the entire battlefield shook violently!
The flat ground suddenly arched into a hill. It grew rapidly, transforming from a small hill into a large mountain in the blink of an eye!
Then the mountain exploded with a roar! A huge, ferocious head emerged from within, opening its gaping maw and roaring towards the sky.
The immense sound wave seemed like a weapon, shaking everyone present so violently that their eardrums felt like they would burst!
Karasen made its appearance!
It emerged from underground, pulling its two massive pincers from the earth, pressing one on each of two Sea Clan flagships, instantly crushing both!
The Atlanteans attempted to retaliate, attacking Karasen with their ion weapons, but the energy emitted by these small toothpicks struck Karasen's thick carapace, leaving no mark.
Orm, he stared blankly at all this, his originally straightened spine somehow bent again, until he sat back down on the ground.
He looked up, and Dane's face came into view; although there was a smile on that face, Orm clearly saw the coldness and ruthlessness behind the smile.
Behind him, against the light, was the scene of Karasen wantonly destroying the Atlantis Army.
This scene seemed to question his inner self: Do you want your Army to all die here, or surrender obediently?
Superman seemed somewhat reluctant, but he didn't know what reason to use to stop him.
Atlanna and Vulko were more rational; they knew Dane was trying to establish his authority and warn them that mistakes come with a price.
Since they dared to initiate the war, they must dare to bear the consequences!
Especially since Orm was the instigator of this matter; if he refused to bow down, Dane could completely consider the war not yet over.
Since it was not over, his objective of annihilating the enemy was a reasonable action.
Arthur was somewhat torn; he didn't sympathize with those Soldiers, because dying on the battlefield was their fate as military men, and he himself didn't have that sense of belonging to Atlantis yet.
In the movie "Aquaman," when he finally appeared with Karasen, he also slaughtered the Atlantean allied forces without the slightest mercy.
But this did not prevent him from becoming the King of Atlantis.
Arthur just didn't want his Mother to be sad, nor did he want his teacher Vulko to turn against Dane because of this.
Most importantly, he had promised to support Dane's decisions.
In the current situation, Atlantis was clearly in the wrong, and what Dane was doing seemed reasonable to him, though the methods were somewhat harsh.
But a leader cannot lack a hard heart; he saw this very clearly, and Arthur's kindness was not overflowing.
Inside the submarine, he chose not to save Black Manta's dying father, knowing those pirates deserved their fate.
Orm listened to the screams and finally lowered his head silently: "Please stop, I am willing to... surrender and accept all punishment."
Dane nodded, and an invisible wave was sent out. Karasen behind him seemed to receive the signal and stopped his actions.
"Orm, you must come back with us and accept imprisonment by the Justice League."
"Arthur, you and Queen Atlanna must restrain the remaining Army. I don't want a second Orm to cause trouble like this again today."
Dane looked at Mera last, as if he didn't know what to say to her.
Mera whispered, "I'll go back and tell my father what happened today. He won't cause you any trouble."
Dane heard her speak with a hint of fear, so it seemed his cold demeanor had indeed left too deep an impression on her.
So, he could only nod, acknowledging her decision.
Mera breathed a sigh of relief. She was indeed frightened by Dane's ruthless appearance.
It was like the wrath of the gods in the myths she had heard.
The Gods of Olympus, like other pantheons, had once initiated a great flood to cleanse the World.
At that time, the Atlantean Empire was still on land, and they recorded this wrath of the Gods.
Therefore, unlike the generally optimistic mood of the current Greek populace, the descendants of Atlantis held more 'awe' than just 'respect' for the Gods.
Orm was thus taken away by Dane. He teleported Orm back to the Hall of Justice and temporarily trapped him in a dream stone-powered dream.
Meanwhile, he had Cortana begin building an underwater prison. After all, Orm was a Prince, so he deserved a larger cell, a VIP Prince suite.
He planned to build the prison in Kahndaq, where Umbrella was already starting to build a new Hall of Justice Base.
In Metropolis, Atlanna and others began to gather the remaining scattered troops.
To be fair, Superman was quite restrained in his actions. Many people were injured by him, but very few actually died because of him.
On the contrary, Karasen, whom Dane later summoned, crushed a warship with one large claw, and the casualties were often more severe.
Arthur could communicate with Karasen, and given that he could already use his trident freely, Karasen was willing to give him some face.
So, at his request, Karasen moved his massive body and returned to the Undersea.
When Karasen left, the Atlanteans on shore finally breathed a sigh of relief, but then fell into confusion.
Their King had been taken away, and now the only people who could lead them were the former Queen Atlanna and the half-blood Prince Arthur Curry.
"Atlanteans! Today's war was completely unnecessary! You may think you are seeking revenge, but I must say, you are wrong!
There was never any revenge. This war was a carefully planned conspiracy! I will explain this matter clearly to you, but first, you must reorganize your Army and retreat in an orderly fashion!"
The Soldiers of the Atlantean Army looked at each other, and in the end, could only act according to the Queen's command.
They saw Vulko also obey the Queen's order, and naturally could only follow blindly.
After listening to Atlanna's words, they were now somewhat confused about what was true and false, and moreover, they no longer wanted to fight.
They didn't want to face Superman, or Dane, or Karasen again. This attack on the Surface World could be said to be a complete failure!
Just a few people were enough to rout the Atlantean Army. As long as those two people were present, Atlantis would never dare to think about attacking the Surface World again.
It seemed Atlanna had achieved her goal, but she wasn't happy at all. Today's battle... no, this couldn't even be called a war.
It was merely two "Gods" using their power to crush a mortal Army.
The pride and backbone of the Atlanteans were severely struck in this battle, and Atlanna felt only worry in her heart.
Vulko largely shared the same thoughts.
Arthur didn't think that much. As long as war didn't happen, he wouldn't care about those things.
His mind was currently preoccupied with how to shake off the burden of being "King."
He didn't want to be this damn King at all. He just wanted to swim freely in the ocean, continue being Aquaman, drink whenever he wanted, and hit whoever he wanted.
He often frequented remote fishing ports in the Nordic region. The Nordic girls there, tsk tsk~
And after becoming King, how could he go to the Justice League? Wouldn't he be bothered to Death by official duties every day?
Atlanna and Vulko hadn't realized that their designated King was already thinking about how to run away before even taking office!
As for Clark, after the dust had settled, he immediately returned to the restaurant where he had a date with Lois, only to find it deserted.
He was very regretful, guessing Lois thought he had stood her up.
But soon his phone rang. He picked it up and saw it was Lois. He quickly answered.
"Is that Clark?"
Clark was about to apologize, but unexpectedly, she had already started apologizing first.
"Sorry, Clark, today's date will probably have to be canceled. I heard an Army from the Undersea invaded the coast, and I have to go check it out!"
Lois's voice contained barely suppressed excitement.
Clark was dumbfounded...
