"Damn Justice League, all of you go to hell!"
Destiny's head touched the sky, his voice like thunder. With the dream stone's enhancement, his power was even greater than before!
He lifted his foot and stomped on the ground. Those who could fly flew away, and those who couldn't used grappling hooks to avoid it.
Boom—!
The ground instantly cracked, and a violent earthquake spread from Destiny's massive foot across all of Gotham City, as if it had endured a bombardment of artillery fire.
The Doomsday Cult's cries grew even more fervent. They kowtowed to the giant, oblivious to everything else.
However, their "god" didn't care much for them. The Impact caused by Destiny's stomp extended along the ground, and soon buildings began to collapse.
And those Doomsday Cult members who foolishly remained in place, kowtowing to the giant, were the first to be crushed and buried by the collapsing buildings.
All sorts of screams immediately rose and fell, cacophonous sounds erupting from various places.
At this, everyone awoke as if from a dream, scrambling to escape for their lives.
However, the preacher, who called himself "the Prophet," was still holding back his followers.
"Stop! Don't run! Brethren, this is a test from God! As long as you endure, a paradise flowing with milk and honey and seventy-two pure virgins await you!"
Indeed, many hesitated upon hearing his words.
However, they were quickly buried by collapsing reinforced concrete, going to find their land of milk and honey, and their seventy-two virgins.
"The Prophet" shivered and quickly scrambled away.
At this point, no one dared to stay here, and they too followed the crowd in fleeing.
However, the earthquake came so suddenly and abruptly that many were buried in confusion, without even a chance to react.
The Birds of Prey, Poison Ivy, threw a tree seed onto the ground before the earthquake reached their location, and a giant vine quickly grew into shape within seconds.
It lifted the members of the Birds of Prey into the air, and the layered anti-seismic structure of the vine greatly reduced the force of the earthquake.
"He's making a huge commotion!" Harley exclaimed, shading her eyes as she looked out at the giant.
Big means power, and she and Poison Ivy deeply understood this.
Dane didn't know that she and Poison Ivy secretly called him "Mr. Big," the meaning of which was quite obvious.
Barbara frowned, looking in the giant's direction; Fate had not stopped, and his foot would occasionally stomp the ground, causing them great trouble in their journey.
"Ivy, can the trees take us there?"
Poison Ivy smiled: "You actually want to make plants move?
But, who said I can't actually do it."
With that, she scattered a few more seeds on the ground, and giant vines grew again; she seized the opportunity to jump onto them.
The other members of the Birds of Prey quickly followed suit; the giant vines carried them forward, and before long, they reached the giant's feet.
Harley and Poison Ivy saw their "Mr. Big" at first glance.
Harley joyfully shouted, "Honey, I'm here!"
Dane's rhythm, as he was about to fly upward, was interrupted by this sound; he turned his head and saw that it was surprisingly the Birds of Prey.
He was surprised.
This gave Fate an opportunity; he smashed down with a punch, and Dane quickly reacted, blocking it with both hands, taking the punch head-on.
His body crashed into the ground.
Seeing this, the other Justice League members rushed to attack Fate again.
For a time, bombs, Impact, and red laser beams flew everywhere, and Fate was injured again and again, recovering again and again, completely unaware of fatigue.
If this were in the Real World, Fate would have died countless times by now, but under the power of the dream stone, in the Dream Realm, he was resurrected again and again.
If Fate's will could not be completely killed, he would continue to regenerate until he fully digested the power of the dream stone and could completely defeat the Justice League.
Dane tried to use Parallax to stir up the fear in the opponent's heart, but Fate was at the peak of his self-confidence, and fear could not affect him.
Dane quickly burst out of the ground; he flew in front of the Birds of Prey.
"Harley, Poison Ivy, Batgirl, and the other two ladies, what are you doing here?"
Huntress and Black Canary exchanged surprised glances—it was Shazam! A live one!
The thoughts of the two young ladies were simple: Shazam, ranked first among superheroes, was indeed very handsome.
Barbara, as the Captain, stepped forward: "Shazam, we're here to help."
It made sense.
Dane did not dampen their enthusiasm; he glanced at the giant Fate, then turned to look at the Birds of Prey, whose eyes were sparkling.
"Can you restrict that guy?"
Poison Ivy smiled, "Leave it to me!"
Dane nodded and continued: "I need an opportunity, so it would be best to catch him off guard and make him rigid for an instant, not too long, just an instant will do."
Black Canary's heart stirred, and she stepped forward.
"I'll take care of this!"
"Good!" Dane nodded, "Then let's act now!"
After speaking, he flew directly, joining the Justice League's siege on Fate.
The Birds of Prey, meanwhile, sprang into action, and Barbara immediately arranged tactics.
"Ivy, use plants to control the big guy's movements, Harley and I will distract him, Huntress, cover Black Canary as she goes up!"
They all knew Black Canary's abilities and how she would briefly incapacitate him.
The group quickly dispersed.
Harley, like a madwoman, swung her large hammer directly at Fate's toes.
On the other side of the hammer, jet ports suddenly formed like thrusters, spewing blue flames, adding thrust to the hammer.
This was actually an alloy hammer made of eternal metal!
Fate's toes throbbed with pain, and he looked down, only to see a woman as small as an ant provoking him; he immediately raised his large foot, intending to stomp her to Death!
Harley nimbly dodged with a somersault.
Just then, Poison Ivy's preparations were complete; she dodged backward, and vines even larger than before instantly grew upward, just like Jack's magical beanstalk.
The vines continued upward, clinging to Fate's body until, finally, thick vines wrapped around his lower body.
Fate tried to break free, but under the Justice League's interference, he couldn't manage it for a while!
Meanwhile, Black Canary and Huntress had already ascended the vines to Fate's shoulder.
Fate quickly noticed them and reached out to try and grab them.
Dane and Clark flew up, pushing his hand away; the lightning and heat vision prevented him from being distracted, and the pain of numbness and burning tormented him simultaneously.
Huntress took out her crossbow, aiming at one of Fate's eyes; she nodded at Black Canary, who returned the gesture.
With a "whoosh," the crossbow bolt fired, arcing through the air and embedding itself in Fate's cornea.
Struck by this, although he felt no pain, he involuntarily blinked.
Seizing this opportunity, Black Canary took a deep breath and unleashed a powerful sonic scream into Fate's ear.
The intensity of her sonic wave was so immense that Huntress, standing on the other side, involuntarily covered her ears.
Fate's brain instantly overloaded as the "scream" entered his ear.
Dane did not miss this good opportunity; he flew forward, directly penetrating Fate's body.
Although it was a body constructed from the dream stone, its internal structure was identical to that of a normal person; soon, Dane delved deep near Fate's heart.
The dream stone was connected to his heart and other organs like a power source.
While Fate was still in his rigid state, Dane, in the time he couldn't use the dream stone's energy, snatched the ruby embedded within his body.
Then he turned and pulled out the Kiss of Death, instantly stabbing it into his heart.
By the time Fate awoke from his daze, the God of Death's power in his chest had already activated.
He slowly raised his hand, clutching his chest.
It was just a small stab wound, just a stab wound… He was unwilling, yet his massive body involuntarily began to fall, its immense weight tearing the vines on him; he collapsed like a building.
Huntress and Black Canary, who were standing on him, were caught by Dane, one in each arm, as he burst out from Fate's chest.
With a "rumble," Fate's body fell, his vacant eyes seemingly still carrying an unwillingness toward his fate.
Morpheus, who had watched the entire battle, walked to Fate's large head.
"What a pity, you could have achieved greater things."
No sooner had he spoken than Dane descended from the sky, holding the two heroines; he released his grip, smiled at the two, and then walked over to Morpheus.
"Don't be so sentimental; you clearly know he got what he deserved!"
Because of his magic, a mother in Gotham even believed her child was a demon and tried to kill him.
Although Batman eventually saved the child, his mother committed suicide by jumping from a building because of it.
So Dane had no goodwill whatsoever for such a scoundrel.
He pulled out the dream stone, and Morpheus cast a sidelong glance at him.
The dream stone emitted a red light, which quickly illuminated the entire sky, and a power of authority spread forth.
The next moment, as if a camera had flashed, the ink-wash painting of Gotham instantly returned to its proper style.
